    TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

    To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

    I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

    I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

    I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

    • ...The fuck does Frank have against the script?! It's basically a much faithful to the book version of what Villenueve did while also taking a lot from the 2000 Mini-Series when it comes to characterization, that alone should make it the perfect adaptation!!

    Also, guys, I'm thinking we could also add Princess Irulan to have something to do in the first part, sort of showing also the Imperial Side, and adding a small plot where she tries to sneak out of her father's strings so as to become the new power of the Corrino family. The idea would be that despite her near success, she fails because Muad'Dib's letter to the Emperor manages to give him a lifeline to unify the house behind him, thus in a way ruining her plans, just as eeveyrone else tends to ruin each other's plans.

    Also, I think this turn we should try and get in contact with Douglas Day Stewart to see if we can produce An Officer and a Gentleman, or at least distribute it.

    Finally, i still want us to try and buy the rights for most of the Kaiju's Toho has. At the very least we should try and get Mothra, but at best we get her, King Ghidorah, Gigan, etc.

    -[X] 5 The Television Caper: So Lucas TV has a problem. THe FCC wants to see the line up. So… lets show them the line up DC:???

    -[X] 6 Batman Returns: You are going to be incredibly happy when you see the looks on their faces when they see the film. Sid especially. DC: ???

    -[X] 7 The Great Muppet Caper: Mary wants to see this opening night and she does not care what she has to do to do that? DC:???

    -[X] 8 Carrie's Greatness: Carrie has… for the most part…surprised you. Now you want to see where she is going with this. DC: ???

    -[X] 9 Carrie at Home: Carrie and you may have had a promise about certain things, but by god, you do enjoy when she teases you like that. DC: 0

    Focus on getting Dune sorted, Lucas TV sorted and Go for Some Family fun. Toho seems to be moving forward with new characters and is likely hurting for funding so for the price of one movie we might get the bits they dont seem to want.

    Because we're leaving out the feast scene which is one of the big things in the book if I read to pitch correctly.

    But hey it will be okay… hopefully

    ...Fuck! The feast scene is the most superfluous and outright irrelevant part of the book! ( in my opinion it has nothing that can add to the entire film). Well, this can be remedied, if we add Princess Irulan and add the 2000's Mini-Series version of the Feast scene where she and Paul meet (after Paul leaves due to how he finds the entire expereince bothersome (as much as he does the guests)) while he is with Gurney mocking Baron Harkonnen. it's one of my favorite parts of said adaptation, as it does hint at a possible romance between them before it all goes down.

    Two points; first, right now Toho is trying to revive Godzilla and abandon the goofy and child-freindly image it had in the 60s-70s. For that, they will try to push the other Kaijus to the side and try to make new ones, without knowing how many fans they have. We can easily take the Kaijus and deny them the fans they will gain later on.

    Second, then we can use them for the Gamera films, thus building up Gamera and making him a Franchise as big (if not bigger) than Godzilla.

    Nahhh that would be the french uncontroled revankism and british policies. In fact Wilson wanted a more lenient treaty if i recall but then he got a stroke(i think) a couldn't participate in the discussion.

    No, I understand your reasoning, I just don't see much point in it. I'm not really trying to argue against it, I just don't see it.

    --[X] Douglas Day Stewart. Yoou've heard he has a screenplay based on his own experiences as a Naval Aviation Officer Candidate. See if he can be convinced to make it a Lucasfilms production, or at the very least let you distribute it.

    Alright, for my plan I've put all the options for Dune so that the Production flows. Havinf the FCC (fucking assholes) see what we're offering is a must I guess, even if our channel is going to be a Pay-Per-View one and I don't understand why are they butting in where theya re not needed nor wanted. And of course we must go for our premiers, even if they're not technically our movies, they are still part of what we've worked in.

    Time for family and Carrie is always a must, just as much as timw with our friends is. We really need to spend more time with them if we want to avoid just becoming acquaintances in the future. Working in more movies together can help with that.

    And of course, Networking. There's so many things I want to do here, but in the end I must prioritize, and having An Officer and a Gentleman for our lineup of next year needs to be done now.

    So, anyways, this is my plan. Let's see what you think.

    As an aside, I feel like we should try and do something for or with Lucy Ball again. It feels like we kind of just left her behind, so it'd be nice to do something with her. I know personally that I'm working on a few pitches for her network, but I think it'd be nice if Bruce himself did a bit more.

    Well, we have Cupid, Lawyers Dozen, Miraculous, Gundam, Pacific Rim and Classical Tales at the moment. We also seem to have Miami Vice ready for Production, and even then it's a bit lopsided to animation, but we can work something out.

    Now, I want us to work in the Hannah-Barbera Cartoons like Fillmore! and Atomic Betty. For tV Shows, i think we can try for the Mini Series I just pitched about Woodrow Wilson. John Doe and Psych could work as well, and Joan of Arcadia, but I'm not sure if any other of the shows could be done as well.

    Oh, we can try going for a Marvel TV Show. Luke Cage is the first in the series of Pitches I put.

    But we really should sstart working on some TV Pitches.

    Edit: we can also go with Are you afraid of the Dark? and Legends of the Hidden Temple. An anthology series of scary stories and a Game Show for kids and teens would be right up our alley.

    We do have some old pitches for game shows that I think you actually put up before. I'm also working on some pitches for little kids content as well, along with some other TV programs that I think could be fun or interesting.

    We could also try and get some TV Shows that were done in this decade. I could see us being the perfect station for Perfect Strangers, Knight Rider, Married...With Children, MacGyver, Family Ties, Highway to Heaven, The A-Team, Who's the Boss?, etc., etc.

    I'm all for using our Pitches, but I'm also for using the shows that made themselves known in the 80s.

    By the way @Magoose since it's July that means we should be getting new scripts from the writer's room.

    Also yay, time for the Batman release.

    What problem could the FCC have with our shows?
     
    Quick question guys. I think one of the things we're short of, in my opinion, is TV Dramas or Teen Dramas. Now, from what I've been able to understand, Teen Dramas do not become mainstream until the 90s, but should we try and bring one for our Channel? I mean, we could try and make Boy Meets World at the very least for 1983.

    Aside from that, One Tree Hill was very popular, but I have to admit I was never that much of a fan for that (or any Teen Drama to be honest). What do you think?

    I am sure that, like in Villeneuve's version, we didn't even bothered to explain why mixing lasers with shields is a bad idea :V
     
    When we get around to restarting the video game industry, I hope we jump to starting with 16 bit consoles. Mainly so we can put out a half decent version of Undertale. Seriously, the playground rumors about that game would be the thing of LEGENDS. Who'd expect by finding a certain invisible path you would find a whole village of super silly cats, shop and all? Also, I find it a bit annoying Muffet doesn't have her own shopkeep screen. Temmie has one, for goodness sake!
