[X] UFS Lirpa. For the Vulcan ceremonial weapon. (The classic)
[X] UFS ushaan-tor (Andorian weapon seen in an ENT episode)

[X] UFS Selachii. For Earth's sharks.
[X] UFS Lirpa. For the Vulcan ceremonial weapon.
[X] UFS Manta

Soyuz is a good name, but I don't think it fits this ship.

If one ends up being named after one of the Vulcan ships that saved earth that's even better.

But neither was anything else?
Sorry. I misremembered it. You only put those in, for the retrospection.

But its comparison with the police cutter shows that the crew needs grow quite fast with the size and task of the ship. The 100kt cutter needs 21 crew and while the 160kt frigate need 36 crew. First the cutter needs less crew because it does not need serveral shifts (as they come on board during shift change) compared to the frigate and second it is smaller.
Is that simplification somewhat right?

Not sure why there are two Lirpa lines, but voting for both to be safe.

[X] UFS Soyuz. For a workhorse of early space exploration.

And 168 crew for the 448 kton Sagarmatha.
It seems that the main benefit of the smaller ships for war isn't at all the cost effectiveness - we could more effectively build the Sagarmatha for the costs - but instead the vast saving of trained personnel per gun.

I'm sorta curious as to if we would have had more crew if we had gone for the survey module instead. I have no doubts that most of the crew for the Sag goes to the labs.
