THe problem is doing the experimental nacelles and underslung saucer will be costly and compromise the mobility better accept that it will have limited torpedo capacity

Then just choose half saucer if we get with a arrowhead design we should not sacrifice cost and manuevarebility to use four tubes
The torpedoes are our best weapon, even if we go arrowhead, settling for less seems unwise.

Tbh enough phase cannons on target still kills warbirds in seconds even with their shields. And with very high tactical speed and maneuverability, keeping phase cannons on target should work fine.

I am just cautioning against trying to turn the arrowhead light cruiser into a medium cruiser because you want more torpedoes these designs will depend on compromises to the design and its better for us to have a reasonably cheap arrowhead light cruiser than trying to turn the arrowhead into something more expensive than a medium cruiser in industry cost
