They're tainted in many years of service of misery, pain, blood, etc. but they are technically possible to be used. They are still, in fact, boats. Some people might refuse to use them out of principle though, and the Priesthood of Manann is going to be exceedingly hard to convince to not try to burn them all in Manann's name after the shellacking the Cult took in the fighting.

How would they feel about donating them to the Eonir as thanks to a crucial ally instead?

The High Spellweaver of all Laurelorn slammed her staff down thrice, and as the ships continued to advance, a number of other Spellweavers could be seen similarly placed amongst a number of the ships. Those able to perceive the Winds of Magic could see the sheer swell they had placed within the sails of the human ships, the more physical wind practically launching the ships forward as if each had been shot out of a ballista
At the same time, the Eonir arrive with the rest of the Fleet of Nordland which has been hidden in Laurelorn territory, shoved up the rivers to be missed at the shoreline previously.

I mean, they can clearly fit quite a lot of ships in Laurelorn, and the Eonir seem to know how to sail somewhat? They don't have a navy right now, but I imagine they wouldn't turn down several hundred elven-made military-grade ships, even if they end up mothballing a lot of them; I also imagine they could maintain said ships with their own mastery over the Winds and magical ship-construction.

Also, having the Eonir enter the Sea of Claws not as the weakest navy is somewhat funny to me, given one day they have zero presence and the next they could theoretically (if they had the skilled elfpower) rival Ostland's pre-Battle of Salkalten naval presence :V

"Roland d'Mousillon. You are known to us. You defied a major hunting party in the Dragon Isles. Lord Pavlor was most looking forward to capturing that Dread Saurian.
Man I know it for a fact, but to have it keep coming up...Roland got around.

Man's gonna be a fantastic Grail Knight.

Even now, Roland and Jaques – or Jaqueline as she eventually admitted –
"A simple knight of Bretonnia," the technical potential heir to the Dukedom of Parravon had she been born a man, "Jaqueline. And Swiftwing, my companion and mount."
Well that's amusing. How many super stars have been playing mercenary in Ostland?? Skarloc and her...

[X] The Battle of Karaz-a-Karak

I wonder if Fred will be able to smuggle blackpowder bombs to the dwarfs so they can plant them in the right places to escape

Frederick to become the elf uni bomber. Considering how heavily he dabbles in mad science, wonder if he can take inspiration from these farms or colleseum engineering.

[X] The Middle Mountains

The dawi will be fine, between Magnus "I got rerolls from gods" and the dawi I do not see them failing.

Now the middle mountains I am worried about since well it is a horror from before the world was made.

This is a perspective, not a chance to influence things. And I want to see this historically crazy battle at Karaz a Karak that has been building for longer than anything else up to this point in the quest IRL.

[X] The Battle of Karaz-a-Karak

I think I have a idea how Salkalten and the middle mountains are doing, I have no idea what is happening in Karaz-a-Karak.

Great Update, once again Freddy cannot help himself to being a dad to poor elf girls who need hugs. And it seems Hultressa did a good job on her end as well, with her warding go off well and getting a decent amount of ruins.

"We stole a spice plantation in Ind, yes!
Not spices, a spice plantation.
And your arms are around her still body, one knee on the ground, as you embrace her gently.

"And we are going to take you away from this, and away from Khaine, as best we can," you murmur, feeling her begin to shudder in your arms. "That's your mother's main wish, and I'll slot it in right alongside with wanting to get off the Ark with my wife and as many of my companions as I can as well."

"I am accursed," she mumbles, a little girl speaking the most terrible truth she knows and believes into your shoulder.

She can't see it, but perhaps can feel some of it from your beard as you shake your head.

"And curses can be broken sometimes. And, though I may not worship Her, all I've heard about Isha tells me she is a kind and forgiving Goddess."
Freddy doing something he likely never thought was possible, pitying and wanting to help a dark elf.

Its one thing to hear how the Witch King crafted their society, but another to see the impact that has had on its own people.
That you are somewhat lesser to her in that regard doesn't matter for most purposes.

It might well do so now.
Wow, so to an actual wizard our ally is downright terrifying... which fits what we know.

[X] The Shores of Salkalten

I want to check in our people.

Gwendolyn's mother told her a lot of things, and it was so important that she is properly introduced to her first free non-druchii and all of them are confirmed.

Yes, they are just as disgusted with all these terrible things as Hultressa claimed they would be. Yes, they are smart and brave and kind and strong just like Hultressa said they would be. Her mother didn't make a mistake! Her mother was right about everything!

So interesting to see Natasha's perspective in the end. Everything about Hultressa is terrifying, but of course Natasha doesn't understand that as far as Hultressa is concerned, the surety has already been deposited. After all, Hultressa left her most precious person alone with Frederick and is now here with someone that she knows can communicate with Frederick. It's like she offered to allow Frederick to hold a knife to her throat while she goes to help his companions.

"But, if the wards could even be temporarily weakened, she could…freeze or manipulate the basins, which would eliminate them or at least reduce the populations of foodstock within," you try to start again.

The gleam in Gwendolyn's eyes is eerily reminiscent of that when Alexandra presented her first ever smithing project that she had accomplished all on her own.
"Yes…that would cause trouble. They would have to try and transplant other breeding stock from other basins, if they even could, but temporary reductions could have wide ranging starvation implications! There are only so many entrances, all of them guarded, but if she can affect the water itself at a distance, there might not need to be that great of a penetrative effort!"
So, we have a plan of action here. Of course, using action magic to do this will tip off that Nat is still alive and at large.

Still, sounds like the easiest since we might not need to get too close to actual facilities.
"The most, hmm, valued? Of the pyramids. The food grown there is solely for Druchii consumption, and the bottom level is actually for livestock!" She says, bouncing a little again before stilling. "It is the most heavily guarded, though, for obvious reasons. Unlike the aquaculture basins, however, all the pyramids make use of mass amounts of slaves," she nods firmly, crossing her arms over her chest. "There's just no other way to till and harvest it all. The difficulty," she hums before leaning towards you, glancing back and forth despite the fact that it's just you and the terrors, "Is that no one ever leaves the pyramids. Slave-wise, I mean."
So okay, we have our farm target. Take out the farms/soils made specifically for dark elves to eat with as many bombs as we can, idly lighting the whole thing up.

Maybe Gwen's mom can help whip up a firestorm with wind magic in the enclosed location...
"If I had to guess, Spitethorn would have the most slaves in their pits, Direblaze the most variety whether beasts or 'exceptional' individuals, but Cruelbarb…I cannot begin to guess. When the arenas are not active, they are not terribly well guarded, but the pits themselves are constantly so. Some of mother's own terrors are stationed there as they do not require sleep."
Sounds like Direblaze is most likely where the trained fighters would be for the most part if we want allies, and Spirethorn the place to go if we want a big distraction.
Also, sorry about the long delay, gang. Just not feeling too hot lately. Just IRL stuff, I guess.
Update is great, and no apologies for dealing with life.

Hope things get better buddy, and look forward to more of the quest when you are good and ready. :D
