So, @Imperial Fister

Did I manage to catch on to your CUNNING PLAN to make things difficult just now? With my REVELATION that Sailing is a skill that we don't have anything in yet?
Have a Reward Dice for your cunning deduction ;P

Also, we're a little over 1,000 years too early for Vinland shenanigans. Well, more like a couple generations. While exploring Vinland is absolutely something on the future docket, it might be a bit much for poor Sigurdr, especially if you're planning on taking him to China as well.
Been reading my way through this quest over the last week or so whilst walking the pupper, and enjoying it a great deal. Now I've caught up!
Welcome to the party!

You can put that reward die immediately into training Sailing, yes.

...Put in 2d6 of my Reward Dice into Sailing, please.

This should guarantee at least 1 success minimum and thus Sailing Rank 1 even if everything comes up 1.

Hopefully our shipwright brother can give us a few pointers.

I don't think this was seen soooo

Hey Blackhand. Would it be possible to bottle or otherwise store some Eitr? You know for research purposes...on trolls...on troll-men...on Foemen. You know just normal things... Would that be Odreng?

Wedding (Aspect Stoking Edition) (Shard)
The rest of the ceremony is little more than blurs of movement and snippets of sound. The only things you truly remember are the vows you made and the rings you exchanged on the hilts of swords old and new.
So how I imagine (part of) the ceremony going on in Norse Xianxialand with Aspect stoking is..

Wedding (Aspect Stoking)

The guests watched as Halla and Abjorn's aspects were stoked to their full glory.

Halla's Saemd flowed over her bridal crown, candleflames burning over her spikes of iron. She wore a cloak of owl feathers, all singed at the tip and held with a clasp of silver. Surrounding her was a halo of crimson flames, burning patches of grass here and there. His warrior-wife shining brightly in all her glory.

Abjorn wore a crown of iron swords, and around his neck was a bearskin pelt as a cloak. About him his Frami was something felt more than seen, like the force of a bear pushing down upon you. It all fitted the Abjorn as she knew him so perfectly.

The two embraced, and there they watched as Abjorn's bearskin pelt caught fire from the crimson fire outlining Halla touching it. The flames spread through his cloak with all the rapidity of a wildfire, yet leaving him unharmed. They watched as the all the force of a bear was put into gently putting his pawprint onto the clasp holding her cloak together. As if the bear was leaving as much of her untouched as he could.

And they made their vows of love.

So, stuff other than the vote:

With three normal dice and four Reward dice, we average Sailing 3 (just barely), definitely get Sailing 1, and very likely Sailing 2 (we'd need to roll failures on all three normal dice not to get 2, and even then a good roll on the Reward Dice could get us there). We can also get three more Training Dice in before we go and tailor how many go to Sailing if needed (with the others going to skills we're 1 success away from raising...probably Tactics first then Pierce, then Throw) based on how many successes we are away from hitting 3 (we may or may not want to spend more Reward dice on this, depending on how far away we are, if this is even needed at all). That's assuming we don't need the action for something else, of course.

Eric is back! Yay! And got badass. That seems like a really nice development and we can definitely invite him on our theoretical trading expedition (though he may be too busy for that), and to join the family/friends list for sparring (which he should definitely be available for). We also need to get him a really nice gift in reciprocation for this and because we broke his wrist one time. Maybe a sword once we learn to make those? Assuming we can make something better than what he has, anyway (which is likely, at least once we put in some time on crafting, but not certain until we, like, examine it). I guess we could make him a sax somewhat sooner instead, but that seems less impressive.

@Imperial Fister I asked this earlier and it got lost in the shuffle but seems important for later in this: Does adding Lightning damage with Sagaseeker create a visible flash of lightning, and if so how bright?

(@Imperial Fister)

So the Ginnunagap journey.

Looks like..

Hugr (Raw Hugr?) test to retrace steps
Hamr (Sailing) test to sail to Aki
Hugr (Silver Tongue) to convince her to let us go past at go back
Hamr (Sailing) to sail back

+Various tests to avoid or bypass the monsters along the way to Aki.

If we reach Aki on time, does the timer for him going insane pause?

Not gonna lie, Halla jumping headfirst into a boat on the Rivers of the Dead only to realise she doesn't actually know how to sail would've been peak shounen protagonist.

Hugareida categories/types we know of. That I remember.
Fire: Campfire, Ignition, Forgefire, Wildfire, Firestorm, Emberwind, Fancy-Mountain-Fire, (Magma?)
Water: Clearwater, Boil, Stagnant
Lightning: Lightning
Ice: ?
Earth: ?
Air: Gust, Gale, Hurricane, Emberwind
Beast: Lion, Deer, (lots of others), (possibly Fylgja based?)
Metal: Iron-bloom, (something related to Steel?)
Weapon: Sword, (other standard weapon types?)
Motion: Standstill, Leverage
Plant: ?

Yeah. Probably a bad idea to go sailing into the underworld in a small boat with no boating experience whatsoever. Especially if we're sailing on a giant river of ultra-poison or something.

Be kind of an ironic way to die due to our own stupidity. :p

HYPE!!!!!!

I want to figure out an excuse to will him our boat.
Leif Ericsson? Seems fair.

It does, but not any brighter than your fire.
Not entirely. You'll get an opportunity to make your case to Modgudr, which will bolster your case (or hinder, depending on your arguement)

Yes

Could Halla (without her weapons) have won against Horra in that courtroom? Assuming Logi didn't intervene and nobody put her on charges of breaking the Thing's Peace and such.
