Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi Magoose here one of the guys helping Duke.

So we have some bad news.

The quest has been canceled as duke does not want to write it anymore.

I'm going to ask if I can take over for it, because I like this quest, and it would be a shame to kill it
TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

I'll see you all around.

With so many regards, Duke William Of.

As for the name, since it's an internal department to LucasArts, it'd be weird if it wasn't branded.
You explicitly have it listed as open to the public, presumably making it not an internal department, which is where my contention comes from in this regard.
Again, do we need to do the action directing right now? It doesn't seem that way to me. At the end of the day, it's not too big of a deal, but I'm frankly not convinced that we need this at the moment.

It's rather simple:

We choose three or four actors that either tried for the part of you write into the part: and then we roll.

Now I am going to say this, if you don't choose casting it would be very… much like canon for the cast of Star Wars.

Basically in three turns, if you do not choose to cast them, the cast will be primarily the people who got their roles OTL.
I would vote for this plan, but the thing is I think this is the last turn where we can do casting, so if we don't go for the Han option then perhaps we would not even be considered. Or at least that's how I understand it.

@Magoose , is that how it is?
This is the last turn before it goes into George's hands, yes.

I thought that was clear, I said three turns?

Magoose said on the top choice that in 3 turns if we didn't complete the casting then it would go entirely to George, and that was when we were planning stuff for Turn 29. I assumed that meant that if we didn't pick someone by Turn 33 (After Turns 30,31,32) That we would be handing over the casting to George.

Also I didn't include Han because Magoose didn't add an option for us to become Han and I thought we would have to undertake an option for Han, and since Magoose said we had to talk George again to get an option for aid that can lower the DC, then that option would be next turn.

I think 30 mil for a gym when all we're known for in terms of physical stuff is boxing against Bob Foster is a massive risky investment and I don't think our name has enough weight to entice membership even if we do have the money. It seems a bit too ambitious to make a gym before Lucasfilms even has a movie produced, so I think we should do so after we release Star Wars and show off some of our choreography off in the movie.

Here's the thing, Mando's Gym might be open to the public, but that's secondary to it's actual purpose...to train up our Action Cinematography and for LucasArts to have both an easy to access recruiting pool and an already built set suited for stuntwork.

So it's open to the public in order to A) net a wider net of talent that's, ideally, predisposed to be loyal to their trainers and LucasArts, B) nets us an additional source of income from membership payments and regular gym-goers, C) the potential that our accreditation programs become synonymous with quality, that those who have our cards are preferred during hiring, and, most pertinently, D) will likely reduce our Action Cinematography DCs when working with LucasArts, by preemptively attracting talent to us before we start that aspect of filming.

Okay then, so it was a misunderstanding.

Can you alter your plan then so that we can take the casting option for Han? We can remove the Networking with Akira Kurosawa for next turn.

I would but if we do that then we're just going to be opening up the role to open auditions for all of Hollywood to take when we want Han, and I feel like having an open audition and then just having ourselves, the Executive Producer do it even if we hypothetically have the best roll performance, doesn't give off the best impression to people who want to audition for Lucasfilms in teh future. Plus Magoose made it sound like asking for Han was going to be an option all on its own. Also waiting for a response if the deadline for casting is at the start of Turn 32 or Turn 33.

33.

I'm giving 3 full turns.

Okay so we have two more complete turn to do casting and can approach George next turn after we've hopefully helped him out in this turn to increase our chances. If there's anything else that's very critical that we need to do then I'm opening to replacing the Network option.

[X] Plan Cycle Repeats and Reynolds Time
-[X]Preproduction (Casting Obi-Wan Kenobi): You want to Spearhead the Efforts to find you're Obi-Wan Kenobi. George is happy that you helped out. (Begin a mini-turn where you can offer the Part to any number of actors in Hollywood and beyond.) DC:20
-[X]Importing Foreign Films: So… you may have a way to get some films showing in American Theaters. Maybe you can go to other foreign film industries and… well, ask to distribute their films. Sure many of those foreign film companies never expected an American company to distribute their films in the US… but maybe you can get money without producing them. (Linetail where you try to get films from, and if there are any specific films, line tail them below) DC: ???
--[X] Japan, Monkey Sun
-[X]The Emmys: Finally, time to see just how much… the world of TV respects you. DC: 10
-[X]When Debbie Reynolds goes to War: So, Debbie is about to go to War and make sure that her daughter's film is perfect. So she called in Hollywood's biggest wrecking ball to back her up… You. DC: ???
-[X]The Final Months of Some Nights: Carrie wants you on set. She says she's not liking some of the things going on. DC: ???
-[X]The Friendship and Brotherhood of George Lucas: George wants to hang out and have fun. DC: 30
-[X] Networking: Well time to start finding out who might actually be interested in meeting you. (Write-in what you want to try and network with
--[X] Akira Kurosawa, pay respects to the man who helped inspire George's vision and inquire about the distribution of his films in the United States (and, perhaps, one day beyond).
-[X] Do auditions(Movies and TV Shows): You are going to go to some of the casting calls that are in the place where you can find work in. DC: 20(Possibility of only getting a commercial or TV show job, or extra work in a low-budget film)

if we cant get Action Directing online, how about getting the that stuntman for Kung Fu Kid, if not StarWars before he gets locked out by his film sched?

Near Critical Failure: It seems someone hired the Triads to kidnap mike to prevent him from purchasing the rights. Seems that Bruce was trying to get Triad Money out of his film and they were pissed.

That's what you think at least.

A young up-and-coming stuntman by the English name of Jackie Chan protected Mike and got him back to America, by Cargo ship.

You thanked him and paid him well for his services protecting your man.

-10,000 Dollars.

We need to keep hunting personas to get powerful and so that we can eventually fight the manifestation of Gotham corruption (yes that manifestion is making Gotham forever bad)
