Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi Magoose here one of the guys helping Duke.

So we have some bad news.

The quest has been canceled as duke does not want to write it anymore.

I'm going to ask if I can take over for it, because I like this quest, and it would be a shame to kill it
TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

I'll see you all around.

With so many regards, Duke William Of.

Movie Pitch: All You Need is Love
Time to resubmit a prompt I made last night with actual effort from my already tired brain.

Prompt Name: All You Need is Love
Genre: Slice of Life, Romance, Relationships
Sub-Genre: Fluff, Non-Drama, Relationships, Love
Format: TV Show
General Idea: Unlike other Romance shows where they based everything on drama, this one focuses on the development of a relationship through just spending time together. They first met in a library, and they began meeting each other..then evolved to become something more. The slice of life parts are exampled by this: The video that inspired this prompt.

N/A: What is the re-occuring theme of the 1970s?

A Pitch: Magoosius Californius
Prompt Name: Magoosius Californius
Genre: Friendship, Comedy, High School
Sub-Genre: High School
Format: Movie (Or TV Show)
General Idea: A kid from Vatican City immigrated to the United States after the Pope suggested for him to learn new things away from Vatican Academy. He is a socially-awkward kid in a new world, where his drunk grandfather is keeping an eye on him in California (the grandfather is a veteran who wasn't treated right..think of the First Nations veterans that fought yet didn't receive much.) Feeling restrictive in his home and school life, he befriends another immigrant that is from Egypt, together they attempt to run for Class President. (More details can be added later)

Notable Characters:

Magoosius Californius - A Vaticanian (people from the Vatican are called that in the film) who has social anxiety, and was suggested by the pope to move to the states with his Veteran Grandfather that were treated as if they're not heroes.

Ur Khons - The Egyptian immigrant that Magoosius befriends, he doesn't speak much English but knows more about the Arabic language.

Alessandro Wowwk Californius - Magoosius' grandfather, he fought in the Second World War, yet he was treated as if he wasn't a hero when he returned home. Instead he was scorned for being of Italian descent, so he decided to stay in America out of spite against them. He is drinking buddies with veterans old and new (from other Veterans treated poorly after the Second World War, Korean War, and Vietnam War.) | Seriously:
Vietnam Veterans were treated poorly for "Loosing a War"

N/A: I wrote this after being inspired by @Magoose..having a mental breakdown. So I combined him with Napoleon Dynamite and bridged themes and issues that are kept in the dark by American people.

TV Pitch The Beatles: Get Back
Prompt Name: The Beatles: Get Back
Genre: Relationship, Music, Struggle
Sub-Genre: The Beatles
Format: TV Series
General Idea: Basically taking Peter Jackson's version of the Let it Be Movie and highlight both ups and downs of the band's musical journey instead of making the illusion that the members of The Beatles hated each other. This shows their rehearsals, relationships, and how the songs came into fruition. Since it cannot be covered in a single movie, it is instead spaced out in episodes.

N/A: Didn't want the..negativity Illusion that the Let It Be film masked, thus we're making Get Back earlier :D Also think CBS would use this as opportunity since The Beatles is still fresh in the minds of the people.

Mr. Atkinson’s Holiday
Mr. Atkinson's Holiday

Don't know what prompted dad for a holiday in California in the middle of winter, but he cited something about wanting to scale the "competition" in the state. Honestly, I was here to see the electronic sciences the Americans have to offer..and they sell more false smiles than fault fakes on the streets.

It's night time as of this moment here in Los Angeles, and it was quite hot compared to Jolly Ol' Britain. It was quite bewildering to note that the lads and lasses I've talked to claimed it's much heated in the summer.

I shook my head in exasperation before I take a look at my side that contained movie posters in an outside hall of the movie theatre. I was bored after a great night of studying the sciences and using the information from the nearby library for notetaking and refferences from the States.

I look throught the ones screening before my eyes settling on an old film by the looks of it, a cartoon man bending slightly with a cane of smoke in his lips, with another picture of someone openning the door.

Intrigued, I walk to the ticket booth for that film before going in the room where it was hosted.

I never knew from that moment on, my life had changed.

A few days after that experience -- watching 'Mr. Hulot's Holiday' that is -- I've became interested in the idea of physical comedy..sure I've watched a lot of Charlie Chaplin movies in the theatre back at home..but this gave me a new idea..

After finishing another research night, I walked around the city in trying to find a place to practice before Low and Behold, there is a pub that had some poster of some person older than me having the toilet seat around his neck. I smiled as I found the imagery quite funny, before I walked in to see a comedy sketch unfolding before me..

"And you sir!" I pointed at myself as the man of the hour grinned widely as he pointed at me, I was startled, but didn't allow that to show on my face. "Yes! You! Come over here and say hello to my friends!"

I decided to play along, letting myself mimic of my body shaking with my facial expression of shy and fear as I slowly walk up towards the stairs.

I took a swift glance to see the audience of the man's show to see them buying into my act. I felt the adrenaline of encouragement as I remembered the new idea I wanted to try..

I finally arrived on the stage where my exterior meekness was at its full show.

"Don't be shy man! Don't be shy!" I leapt a little forwards with a yelp in 'shock' as he slapped my back, this cause some laughter from the audience.

"Would you like to tell my fellas here your name?" He asks with the same smile.

I pointed to myself with my finger shaking.

"Yes yes! You!" He responds to my silent and motion-based response.

I then made a sudden shift from meekness to thinking, making random noises of my lips and tongue as I think of an answer..before I nodded happily with a smile, eyes wide as I turn to the man..Robin was it? With a confident nod..

"Bean."

And the laughter I received made me feel warmth in the inside.

N/A: I think you all know who was created that day in the pub :D

Carrie is an innovator?
Carrie is an innovator?

I look between the hallways with a stealthy eye, Mother's off buying some pillows with Todd, now usually that sounds suspicious to my head but I have a great plan to execute..

The best way to always remember my Overland Boyfriend, Bruce O'Brian, is to..turn him into a pillow!

My cheeks flushed in embarrassment as that thought reached my rational side, but I couldn't stop it as I ran out of the home in New York to search for the Shirt printer shop that I scouted with mum a few days ago while Todd was at the O'Brian residence. Just looking at the multitude of designs made me think of this great and ambitious plan to come back to him like a loyal lass rather than some strumpet in the streets in Los Angeles.

Without much prompting, I finally arrived at the Shirt Printer shop with not many people inside it. Knowing this, I quickly blitzed towards the counter while pulling out a couple of pillow cases that were inside my pocket.

"Hello," I said as I placed the pillow cases on top of the counter while the person manning the station looked at the cases with a confused look on their face. "Can you print this picture on them? Both sides too?" I ask them as I give them a copy of a picture of Bruce I have, the original already placed in a picture frame back at home in New York.

"Uhmm..ma'am we don't do pillow cases." The individual at the counter was about to continue before an older person from the counter arrived, took the cases, and headed towards the printing area. He sighed while placing a hand on their face. "That'll be.. fifteen dollars please." I give them the required money, before placing it in the cash register.

I had to wait for twice or more hours before the pillow cases were ready to be used, I also took back the picture when it was all finished.

I smiled with satisfaction and victory on my face as I discreetly ran back home, my smile only becoming wider into a grin of excitement.

It was only when I opened the door to see a smirking Debbie Reynold that dread erupted in my stomach, especially when she took a quick look at the pillow cases before I tried hiding them behind me.

"Is that a new fad, Carrie?" She asks with a teasing smirk as I bolted into the house, face red in embarrassment all the way back to my bedroom..all before I begin placing back the cases to their respective pillows.

N/A: And that kids..is how Carrie created the World's first Body Pillow. Because she wants to keep remembering Bruce in the best way possible :D | I checked the inflation calculator to find the face that we would have $67 Million in modern day inflation if we have $10 Million in 1973.

Fuck me. If American Graffiti does really well, we would make $100 million before we hit our twenties.
