I was considering potentially swapping to your plan / not arguing against others swapping because I could see the franchise wars as a potential major distraction from our other endeavors, but I had a few minor changes to suggest beforehand.

Marion Moseby (Wage war against the lobby ninja), combo with Tobe hunting magical creatures.
Ruby Wings: Give to Gomez of QMS instead of Marco, specifically Gomez. Him being able to science the wings would be cool, but mostly so he can fly away from danger as he's kind of weak physically speaking.
Potion of Polymorph: Give to Marco, Janna won't drink it.
Jī Talisman-Telekinesis: Give to Janna, she might have fun with it, and everyone else got an item.

Variant Plan that talks to Malf this turn and opts out of the Franchise Wars, leaving us free to chat with Alan and finish his capstone action at the same time next turn.

Eh, I dislike this plan on multiple levels. Big Ones being Delaying Civvie AI and you quest team just kind of... sucking?
Not statistically, but I don't like the idea of breaking up the Marcnificent Few, at all. Now's an important time to see if Kitsune wishes to stick with them, so having them all enter it would be ideal. In return we get a 4% less CoS and CF chance increase (and honestly just CF chance, since CoS we have little control over), but thats fine by me. CoS might actually even increase with QMS, as they have a higher learning.

If you really want Lizzy on the collab, then move QMS to Solacae and stick kitsune on the quest. Sure its a small decrease in martial and a big in learning, but I'd rather just have Kitsune figure shit out then getting maximum rewards from this.
I'd also rather just delay Dinos then Civvie.

I do agree I'd prefer Malf, but I am very indifferent to the Franchise Wars either way. The other 2 things are my big no compromise points,

No, but the corporate dominance of coastal Kings might.
To operate in their territories they'd either have to consent to it, not know about it, or be warded off by our force of arms.
I don't think that that's how it works. We don't have any standing in the healthcare industry, but the Tri-State Area still has medical care. They certainly aren't asking us for permission, nor are they hiding from us. And we bought Bueno Nacho without Shego's permission; once it became apparent that we weren't targeting Hego she thought us caring about "territory" was idiotic.

Us operating in their territory only matters in that they're more likely to already be involved in the shipping industry, and therefore potential competitors.

I do like the idea of swapping Kitsune to the quest, and I have no strong preference between Dinos and AI.

...and it would be funny to put Moseby on selling Doc Hoppers.

Please do not destroy the Rocky Mountains

Please. We would be opening a wormhole to the middle of the sea, not blowing away everything between us and the Pacific!

Besides, using terraforming to open up new coastlines like that should involve blowing up everything between us and the Atlantic instead. Much more difficult for the government to retaliate if we did.

Well, I am very late to the party, but...

[x] Exercise Right of First Refusal

[x] Plan: In For A Pound

-[x] National Actions:
--[x] [Martial] Construct Security Bunkers (Khan - Atomic Genes)
--[x] [Diplomacy] Lobby For Electronic Rights (Kermit)
--[x] [Diplomacy] Expand Into Foreign Markets - France (Cruella)
--[x] [Stewardship] Develop Civilian AI (Alan)
--[x] [Stewardship] Host a company retreat (Wasabi)
--[x] [Intrigue] Investigate the Murderous Toon (Russ)
--[x] [Intrigue] Celebration Investigation (QMS)
--[x] [Intrigue] Infiltrate Solanaceae (Monogram)
--[x] [Learning] Research biomechanical interfaces (Doof)
---[x] Interns +10
--[x] [Learning] Research extradimensional tech (Jumba)
--[x] [Occult] Map Leylines (Tobe)
--[x] [Occult] Repair the Avatar of Felldrake (Khan - Atomic Genes)
--[x] [Corporate Actions] Sell silphium (1 funds)
--[x] [Corporate Actions] Franchise Wars: Address the competition (1 funds)
--[x] [Corporate Actions] Hold a Powerline concert (+3 funds)

-[x] Quest: Missile's Red Glare (Cost: 1 fund)
--[x] Kitsune
--[x] Janna
--[x] Queen Lizzy
--[x] Dennis the Duck
--[x] Moseby

-[x] Personal Actions:
--[x] Doof:
---[x] Collaborate with Sycorax (Research biomechanical interfaces)
---[x] Chat With The Bossman: Russ
---[x] Chat With The Bossman: Alan
---[x] Chat With The Bossman: Malf
--[x] Activate Inator
--[x] Norm (Commit Heroism)
--[x] Marco Diaz (Search for Star)
--[x] Tom Lucitor (Rule the Underworld)
--[x] Roddy Blair (Design a lair - Quirky Miniboss Squad)
-[x] Item Assignment
--[x] Ruby Wings: Marion Moseby.
--[x] Potion of Polymorph: Kitsune.
--[x] Ji Talisman - Telekinesis: Queen Lizzy.
--[x] Yang Talisman - Dreams: Agent Russ.

So the likeliest dealbreakers:

I don't investigate Negaduck.
I push back completion of the dino projects.

What do I do?

Keep an eye on the Hat Menace.

Use Wasabi for something that he has little chance of screwing up and which is mundane enough that he should like it.

Chats with Alan (ENCOM related, hopefully), Russ (we haven't talked with him since his return from the Twilight Zone) and Malf (Celena related shenanigans).

I take a stab at the Declaration of Independence quest. I suspect that next turns we'll be too busy to sacrifice the ideal quest team, so I am going to suggest going now with what we can scrounge instead.

Also, I activate the OTHERDIMENSIONATOR. That thing has bloody well waited long enough.

If anyone has improvements or suggestions to make, I am listening.

Please. We would be opening a wormhole to the middle of the sea, not blowing away everthing between us and the Pacific!

Besides, using terraforming to open up new coastlines like that should involve blowing up everything between us and the Atlantic instead. Much more difficult for the government to retaliate if we did.
Nah. Clearly, we should establish our shipping industry by creating a network of flooded tunnels through which submarines carry goods, and also the tunnel network will spell "FUCK YOU DOOM, WE'RE NOT USING YOUR ROADS" when viewed on a map.

I believe his base Martial is high enough to still give him an auto-success with his malus.

21+12+55+11-20=79.
79+10(XP)+1.

If it triggers, it'd need XP to be an auto-success.

And, of course, since my plan makes use of Atomic Genes, whether that malus triggers or not would be a major factor re: the viability of my outline.

That won't work without a talk to the boss man. Also, They're about a coin flip of success. If you want that effect you need to vote for my Plan which has a better chance of success on a mutual action and a talk with the bossman. It's extremely unlikely we get a free talk with the bossman.

That's what I was actually meaning; I was under the impression that the point of specifying Doof and malf on the leylines action together as a narrative for them talking... which is why I was surprised that none of the plans at that point actually made use of that by taking action but not the Bossman personal

I would love for us to rebuild the carton/ entertainment industry go hole tilt on the werid wacky bun generally good person but with a vener of silly faje evil. Just feel it would be great
.but uh. Negaduck is most important

I feel like I remember something about nostalgic things doing better, but I can't find where that was. Does anyone remember?
I believe that was one of the options for the Olympia collaboration. You may also be thinking of the last update where it was mentioned corporate actions related to media will get a +5 because of the hit to the talent pool from Negaduck's attack.

So... for the franchise wars.

We're at level 1 right? If we do nothing we stay at level 1, correct?

Let's just do nothing. Keep our current investment, have no change, and work on other things.

Unless I'm misunderstanding the situation.
Doc Hopper's would eventually pay for itself this way, but it would take 5 more years. While selling right now pays back all the Funds we spent on it plus 1.

I was considering potentially swapping to your plan / not arguing against others swapping because I could see the franchise wars as a potential major distraction from our other endeavors, but I had a few minor changes to suggest beforehand.

Potion of Polymorph: Give to Marco, Janna won't drink it.
Jī Talisman-Telekinesis: Give to Janna, she might have fun with it, and everyone else got an item.
Every other change I'm amenable to make, but can I instead give the Jī Talisman to Gomez and the Wings to Janna? I was hoping to expose Gomez to magical telekinesis before asking him to work on Zero Point Tech.

Not statistically, but I don't like the idea of breaking up the Marcnificent Few, at all. Now's an important time to see if Kitsune wishes to stick with them, so having them all enter it would be ideal.
I'm banking on their personals from the retreat for them to figure out where things stand, we know Kitsune has an action specifically for that. I also don't love pushing back AI, but the upaide is that we get to chat with Alan while he does it next turn.

Like, I put QMS on quest because they fill out three slots competently while not compromiaing Nationals. Do you have a quest comp that would work? If we put Lizzy on Nationals and we can't send Tom, then the Quest team is Janna, Marcos, Kitsune, and Dennis, with no fifth.

[x] Plan: Let's Get Dangerous + Kermit Goes to Washington

I'm not super fond of this plan, I'm annoyed we're letting Malf's tantrum prevent us from getting occult units that we desperately need and I'd really rather we not involve ourselves in the franchise wars, but I refuse to add Civillian AI to the giant pile of unfinished projects we never get to because there's something "more important."
