So I explained my logic why above but I think double or even triple recruiting is wasteful of the benefits the coin brings to the table. Max to get more info on the elves, Johann to follow up on his arm with Egrimm, Hugo because why wouldn't we want to bring in the best enchanter we know for waystones + winderding enchantments. Recruiting the Jades with the coin so we have a college on board. Divine AV so we can finally maybe get AV done.

Then with another roar - this one very clearly not of reactive, surprised anger, but the low, reverberating roar of a promise of terrible vengeance - it climbs headfirst down the side of the near-vertical face of Karag Zilfin and disappears back into the mountain.

Revised arguments:
1. We have too much work to do getting this effort off the ground to spend any personal research actions. Once it's actually up and rolling we can afford to spend some personal time, but for now it's "RECRUIT".
2. Max might as well make himself useful making some local contacts.
3. We had Johann cut off his own arm. We sort of owe it to him to let him figure out the new one.
4. We need the Light Order and Egrimm is the guy to get it.
5. We need the Jade Order in on this, and Mathilde is the one to get it.
6. Vicerene Cadaeth was the one who convinced us to do this in the first place, and the Ward of Frost is her Ward. Roping her into matters should be relatively simple. Get some local resources committed to this.
7. We need to get the research space set up,
8. Accepted Redshirt's argument not to step on Egrimm's toes with the Windfall publication.
9. I do not want to send the Hochlander after freaking Alfric. Whatever steps Alfric has lost, he still has more steps than the Hochlander has ever had in his life. On the other hand, setting up a shadow HQ is something that might well unlock more actions and abilities in the future. This might well be a good turn to do it, when there's nothing desperately more important. And from a meta perspective, there's obviously a lot of urge to make the fief someplace interesting. If we take this action. Boney will do so!
10. Okay, on the library? It's too early for reciprocal relationships or such. Need more presitge first. Okay, sure. Getting in magical texts is a cheap and easy slam dunk we have the authority to make happen, so we might as well do it.
11. Gambler on the Jade Order since I think they'll be the toughest sell. Waystone knowledge is religious for them in a way I don't think it is for the Light Order; plus we are approaching as an outsider.

I have to disagree about the supposed rush we are in some people are stating. Everything we have seen paints the opposite picture the Elves and dwarves opperate on such a long time scale we dont have immediate time pressures. Now maybe that changes once the ball is properly rolling and we have more human orgs involved but right now is very much a time when there is no expectation of 'product' so we can slow roll a little to make sure we pick up the peices with out dedicating literally every waking moment to the project.

If nothing else it's not like having more spies hurts, we could have spies in all the provinces of the empire eventually, just so we can get reports that are not random rumors from the local tavern.
