Nah, they are just worried he will pull another Laurelorn and wreck the place on accident by being clumsy human, but they have to let him in because Everqueen was like "try not to be a douche to this guy, we owe him one".
Agh, I really hate to say this on the heels of "I don't like drunk Freddy actually acting drunk as an excuse for dumb votes", but there... might be a bit of unintended ambiguity. Just a smidge.

I thought it was pretty obvious the guard was well aware of Fred's rep with the ruling merchants of Marienburg and wanting none of that while he was on shift. A Handmaiden of the Everqueen came by to politely boot them out to avoid further antagonizing the merchant houses and cause a big mess.

@torroar please don't revise it! it was really good writing!! especially norsca scene!!!! everything was great and when verna judge us and then dismissed us goes to show how small we are in warhammer world! ignore the few people who complain when not everything goes right for us just keep doing what you are doing!

I'm pretty sure she was just a friend of a Handmaiden and not one herself, but yeah those ballads the guard was talking about are probably 50% "he drunkenly did ____ to ____".

[X] Plan: We are done, time to go home

I loved this trip to Marienburg, and I can conclusively say that Yes.

I hate Marienburg lmao
chaos worshippers Marienburg? really

it is not a stretch to think some of them got their fiddly tendrils into that unsanctioned college or the open air black-market.

We got some info at least. Something is pulling the Dark Gods' attention away from the coasts and towards something that's further inland.

And of course the Bohka had to slink over to Marienburg's Little Kislev. The arrests may be true, in regards to wrapping up Bohka troublemakers. Disrespecting her husband's legacy? As a transcendental mortal conduit of The Widow? The Widow? Goddam Bohka.

We got interesting information from the other places which was less upsetting. Interestingly, North Miragliano has a real shit time right now. If we wanna get Myrmidian Faithful to assist in the establishing of a Myrmidian Temple up north we uh. We could probably get a good deal. Not to mention we are the place with the flying suits. I think we could get a good number of connections going between North Miragliano and Wulfenburg/Saltaken. They're not in a good spot here, people still hate them. But Saltaken? Wulfenburg?
More population is more swords against the enemies of Man. Might get some talent too, considering the rough situation. So long as they all understand there is no dealing with chaos worshippers should all be good.

Setting up a Myrmidian temple in Saltaken should help pull North Miragliano immigrants over by sea. I think it'd be a good idea to set one up with North Miragliano contractors, specifically for that reason.

The Verenan temple was awesome holy moly. She's Morr's wife?! YO! Let's get a Library set up for her next to our Garden in Wulfenburg. Damn! We knew whispers of the unwise actions of Verenan extremists, but yo what an absolute champ! A Legend!

I like the two southern goddesses. Nothing wrong with northern gods but if one untalented fighter can, through art, help steel twenty soul's faith against the enemies of Man, then let them take up brush or chisel. Proper accounting has helped save slaves and put evil to death.

that said, Haenrych? hrmm. That was less awesome. Kinda grimy. I'd prefer if there was a close watch on him.
mutual profit is fine until it's chaos worshippers gaining profit alongside

nasty nasty nasty. Let's hope he's not the same as Sabine's due to spelling or technicality or something.

Araby, Ind, Cathay and Nippon were interesting. Cathay and Nippon don't have immigrants per-se, because both have their cultures tied so close to the land. I would have assumed the same of Ind but instead they have made a local Deva which is reallly coool damn.

Not much to do with the information gained by itself though.

the Q Lodge sucks. No wonder they teamed up with Marienburg against us so easy

An academy of inter-faith cooperation and dialogue would be interesting to have in Ostland somewhere. We're interfaith in Ostland but not like this. Can't believe these fucks allow Chaos worshippers aboard. Nasty.

-- I wonder where Bugman picked up 510 Bugman's Rangers. Were they trained over the last few decades, or were they part of Bugman's Rangers for centuries?
I assume plenty of dwarfs joined up with Bugmans and or Rangers came back to their new homebase after awhile away.
Note: "Various Workers" has been dropped from Forces Stationed in Bugman's Brewery.
I assume this is because plenty of warriors to handle actual fighting stuff rather than rely on workers as emergency militia, now workers of brewery can focus totally on that.
Whew, 2.5k+ dwarfs in Wulfenburg. That's actually a really big number.
To be fair, we had hundreds of dwrafs in Wulfenburg in general in Dwarf District. I think you mean that brewery has tons of dwarfs since technically outside of capital city.

It is noted to be the fastest growing settlement in human and dwarf history.
The Verenan temple was awesome holy moly. She's Morr's wife?!
Yes, and their children are Shallya and Myrmidia. Its a nice little family of gods.

Shallya apparently also had a crush on Ranald, innocent girl has a thing for bad boys apparently, but Ranald tricked her into making him a god. Dick move.

Actually, there are many interpretations of that story. So the truth of the matter may never be known.
Fair point, but then again it would fit his Deceiver aspect if nothing else. Still, funny how Shallya apparently likes him and now its my headcanon that all cultists of Shallya are lowkey into badboys in general. :p

On another note, I wonder if little Tasha will want to visit Tilean when she is older to get to know the other side of her blood more in general and unlike her mother won't feel bad about traveling too far south.

Loved the update and worldbuilding, and very disappointed the talk about Norsca didn't tell us more about the Old One cult there. Malekiith is being scary.

That said, <ruinous powers stan on>while the chaos gods are destructive abominations, they also rule a whole lot of things that aren't evil, though Norscan culture probably is its own thing that moderates that and I don't see things like worshipping Slaanesh through philosophical art movements catching on there.

[X] Plan: Last-minute searching

The Greatship thing is great, to be honest.

Questers should learn to stop assuming they need to vote to breathe.

And that's EXACTLY how they get you.

"Maybe it's not so bad. They stand for other things too, after all. Good and noble things."

Well, yeah...but mostly, the Four Tumors upon Reality stand for the PERVERSION of these noble Things.
