This is exactly why she was not presented as a possible love interest. What kind of partner would a woman who's not even comfortable using an army meling superweapon to weed her garden make?
Gonna say this: the events of this turn have made Oswald Oswaldson jump several ranks in my husbando tier list. On the one hand, he comes from a line of people as audaciously nuts as we are, so he will appreciate us properly. On the other, his cat might be an Avatar of Ranald signalling to us "THIS IS THE ONE, DUMMY."

[x] DUCK: Help Johann try to raise his new rat-wolf pups. With Wolf, if he's willing.

We already absentee parented one baby boy through his youth, let's give Wolf the mother son/family unit bonding experience he missed. :V

[x] ENTRANCE: Escherian Nightmare

One person's nightmare is another's pleasant! Imagining Mathilde just in the middle of the room, upsidedown, leaning against her ominous glow pillar and MAXIMUM SMUGGING at a visiting wizardly dignitary as they try to recursive staircase their way to the lounge.

[X] ENTRANCE: Pleasant foyer

Is okay too.

[x] Bedroom

Wizard must SLEEP. SLEEP GOOD!!!

[x] Library

Good to have, double bonus if the checkpoint passes and makes sure no one nefarious gets their mitts on our smut.

[x] Bath Room

Ranald needs to gossip about these sweet digs and make the new Empress jealous of us.

[x] Sitting Room

Entertain guests good!

VOTE'S OPEN!

[X] DUCK: Each of your three ducklings can fight in melee. Spar with them, and teach them what you can.
I want to interact with the Duckies more, and its a great venue to see their Reactions to the Tower of Doom.

[X] DUCK: Adela's interested in mechanics, see if anyone you can introduce her to would be willing to teach her.
A good point was raised about us having trouble finding noncombat uses for Wizards.

Design of your Entrance Hall:
[X] ENTRANCE: Pleasant foyer
We can secure it later, secretly, and that pleases my inner supervillain.

[X] Bedroom
Silk sheets will have to wait until Princess Edda finds some weavers. Also includes a nice comfortable dog bed for Wolf, a bookshelf for your recreational reading, and a wardrobe of grey robes.
[X] Library
Separated into three sections: Normal, Magical, and Classified. This allows guests to peruse portions of your library in accordance with their status. Includes a comfortable reading area and a few more private nooks; will be the home of your incredible dragon-skull chair.
[X] Bath Room
Between Dwarven plumbing and a combination of runes and enchantment, you could create a private bathroom that would make Emperors envious.
[X] Sitting Room
A room dedicated to socializing, from morning tea to formal meetings.

The next ones I want to get are the Vault and the Shrine. Not to replace the temple upgrade, but just as a nice thing to have.

Welp it's not the warhammer of the setting, but I like to imagine that the giant doomtower empowered by a Dwarf ancestor god is up their in the gifts to allies department.

Because secret deathtraps are great, and it's a nice view.

Obviously.

[ ] Shrine to Ranald
[ ] Sitting Room

Approval voting both of these - they're both neat in their own way.

Not particularly attached to any of the Duckling options - approval voting for all of these:

[ ] DUCK: Help Johann try to raise his new rat-wolf pups. With Wolf, if he's willing.
[ ] DUCK: Johann's investigation into the ratling gun has hit a wall. See if you can help.
[ ] DUCK: Each of your three ducklings can fight in melee. Spar with them, and teach them what you can.
[ ] DUCK: Magical target-shooting is rough on normal targets. Set up a specialized target range for your ducklings, and for any other wizards at Eight Peaks.

Panoramia can sit this round out for being A COWARD AFRAID OF PROGRESS.

E: Convinced by veekie to encourage further Wizard integration.

Moratorium's up!

[X] DUCK: Work with Panoramia for her to finally get around to investigating the greenskin mushrooms she found.
Really curious about these, and I feel bad for scaring her off.

PUPPIES

Can't decide between those two, so approval voting.

@veekie made the good point that noncombat uses for our wizards would be handy.

I really hope there is a small, tasteful railing around the STEEL BEAM RADIATING THE ENERGIES OF HELL. You know. Take the sword of Gazul and make it fashion.

[X] Bedroom
We are not an animal.
[X] Library
We are, however, a nerd.
[X] Vault
A nerd with some awkward possessions to lose.
[X] Sitting Room
The foyer is where we chat with people we want to keep off-balance and intimidated, but the sitting-room is where we hang out with our friends.

Whenever someone asks him that, he casts it on them and says "you tell me!" Then he chortles for the next few days.
He sounds like the Grey College version of Kragg the Grim. Exceptionally talented, incredibly grumpy, and really likes showing off their craft, to the detriment of their enemies and sometime their allies.

If we want not to live like an animal, we should probably take the bath

Because we have a harder time finding noncombat uses of wizards than anything else

I don't want to make the tabletop rules any more prominent than they are. I added them for the rare situation when Mathilde was in situations that could themselves be out of the tabletop game, but it's become people's primary lens for how they measure a lot of what Mathilde can do.
It could be a simple "Shadow Knives: Instead of Shooting, roll 1d6+1 S3 hits, ignores non-magical armor" under "Relevant Spells".

Just thought it'd be an elegant solution for when we do use the TT, that's all.
