Huh, looks like I missed the storm this time.
I'm pretty happy to see Rionnnnnnnnnnna gone for the time being, talk about a polarizing character.

I disagree with these long votes. I think that this is strictly superior to all of them, especially the ones that leave out the mandated "snuggle Mami and destress" bits.

...I doubt what I'm gonna suggest is gonna be done, but I hope nobody's going to be offended either at my mere suggestion of the idea.

If an author of a normal non-quest story expressed discontent about how the last 5 chapters went, my first suggestion would be 'You can always decide to rewrite them and retcon them away, if the current version doesn't make you happy".

Perhaps in a quest this feels harder, as the voters feel greater involvement in what's going on, and might feel aggrieved at all their effort retconned away -- but, well, I think it ALWAYS remains an option to go back to chapter Point Insertion pt.17 (or thereabouts) and have Rionna never have come to Mitakihara in the first place. Hell, you could probably go back and remove every mention of her from the story, ever. Or mention her as someone who had lived in the past, but was run over by a bus a week before the story started, or whatever.

I'd planned to wait for a weekend IC for this, but... Given the circumstances, and given that Mami gave us this present today... I think, before bed...

@Firnagzen, personal request: don't pilot us into bed this chapter?

Riona was basically a walking, talking morality debate. She may have had some more depth to her than that but, it was really difficult to see with just how completely and utterly abrasive she was.

In point of fact, she started and stopped at being a walking morality debate.

Whether or not she has/had more depth to her didn't matter, in the end, because her other features simply caused the thread to implode, and will continue to cause the thread to implode given the chance. Ergo, she stops there: an imploded thread makes no progress.

Let me be totally clear:

I don't give a flying fuck one way or any other what the hell happens with her after quest scope. That's Sabrina's problem as a character, not our problem as questers, and I expect that because she's a good person, some effort will be made to rehabilitate Rionna, and I've no idea what the outcome might be, nor do I care.

I do want one thing: I don't want Rionna on-screen again in quest literally ever if it can be avoided. To that end, I absolutely support keeping her in a dark corner as a disconnected gem for as long as the quest runs, entirely because it makes it less likely that she'll appear on screen (and doesn't involve murdering her).

The stuff about imprisoning her with a body or not, as long as we never see her again in the quest I don't care what is done with it. So, in that regard, Firn's earlier post made me really happy.

As for the redshirt vote... I'll take it.

The only thing for me might be that trip with Homura. Sabrina can express herself a bit more freely to Homu since she knows all the lich/witch information, so going on a trip with Mom might be called for so we can vent.

Sabrina is tired and burnt out in large part because the thread is tired and burnt out, and I know that the last Homura timestop shopping trip was actually really fun, so I don't think it'd be a bad idea on those grounds.

If that doesn't end up happening, then we probably go back home with Mami and cuddle while we do some enchantment practise, then call it a night.

I'm figuring on just blowing the scalps off everyone's heads with something what might be fluffier than the date scene. If you wanna go on a trip with Homu I'm totally K with that too.

To some degree they aren't exclusive, and I think Sabrina going to her mom for some support and venting would be pretty cathartic for the readers.

I'll bow to your superior take on Mami fluff when the time for that comes though.

And I read once that O&K are the less overtly yuri pairing in the whole of PMMM.

They like, hang out, eat sweets, and Kirika once grabs Oriko's shoulders from behind and they smile while Oriko complains that its hard to walk like that.

One time Oriko holds Kirika in arms... while saving her from Mami. Well, almost saving.

Meanwhile, PMAS O&K can't not be in physical contact with each other for extended periods of time. I wonder if PMAS players might have a distorted vision of what O&K are in 'canon'. :V

Eh. For me the ship sailed that one time Kirika said ( inexact quote, too lazy to look up, and it's translation from Japanese anyway, what the heck is exact ) she sees absolutely no one beside her other than Oriko.
And Oriko replied, with a shit-eating grin: "Oh, good to know."
And then she runs her hand over Kirika's cheek, I think?

If that isn't Yuri, I don't know what is. Handholding, maybe?
