I just really want to find out about Ling Qi's mysterious heritage and I think hidden moon will give us the best shot at that!

I suspect that we'll get a bonus similar to the Grinning Moon one. I suspect that a dreaming moon bonus once the patrol quest is over will be easier to trigger. We may do a fair bit of exploring, but only every so often. In comparison, I think we can pretty easily perform music every week or two.

The thing is that with art costs going up above 200, the reduction to them doesn't really matter much. -10 successes was a big deal when arts were like 60 to level. When they're 240 -15 is basically nothing. And it's only going to get worse from here. And then you combine this with our heaven bonus and it's just kind of weird. We only have 1 heaven meridian. If you're trying to represent our archery and wind talent and encourage us to pursue more wind, it would more sense for it to be a wind specialty, or something like +1 offensive dice to wind techs generally.

I know what you mean, I was expecting our ??? bonus to be revealed in the Bronze breakthrough as another 10 or 15 dice reduction. Instead, it looks like it was already folded into the wind bonus. Maybe we didn't invest enough in Wind, or raising our dex cap is 'expensive' as bonuses go?

AH! I just worked out what he's missing - a sash.

They don't have elastic or anything. He needs a sash for his pants. The lack of that is part of what makes them look so tight, since there isn't anything else to be holding them up.

Dreaming Moon.
-Quest: Social Glue. This should be about employing her skills to smooth disagreements between her friends and building bonds. The immediate benefit is well, less strife amongst her friends. I suspect the key fulcrum here lie in Xiulan/Golden Fields.
-Benefit: Assuming it works the same way, Dreaming Moon would allow Social actions to generate EPC successes. Key skills being Expression and Socialize.

New Moon
-Quest: Treasure Hunt. Whether new art, rare pills or rare talismans, its undeniably shiny and desirable.
-Benefit: Assuming it works the same way, Hidden Moon should get EPC successes off Investigation or Perception rolls

Mother Moon
-Quest: Take care of your kids
-Benefit: Probably generates EPC successes for spending actions on Zhengui, Hanyi and likely any other juniors we choose to mentor and protect.

Hmm...hard choice. Mulling over it first, but it seems that New Moon would focus on building personal strength for the tournament, Mother Moon would focus on getting Zhengui up to scratch and Dreaming Moon would be on making sure we mend bridges before the Inner Sects breaks those links?

Given the wind tugging has happened to Qi as well it is probably the Grinning Moon's way of showing affection. Also I suspect Xin was behind his "mandatory leave", or Liao Zhu is simply a workaholic.

Okay, so I really like the Mother Moon route, but its unlikely to close considering how devoted we are to Zhengui time...but for the purpose of the year end tournament and for the purpose of going deeper into ENJOYING music for its own sake, for the purpose of no longer just watching from one side as your friends rip themselves apart in strife.

Let it Dream.

Also EPC successes from Expression is going to be nearly as close in power as Larceny. And easier to use without making enemies. We can get it every other week from Zeqing as it is.
