+45 mining income, -45 for other departments, we come out net netural next turn (although with 5 banked from this turn so we can spend 330 instead of 325). Was really hoping for higher rolls on the glaciers but honestly this is fine, 330 is more than enough to do a decent plan with and we'll most definitely keep spamming more mining over the next few turns.

I'm already dreading the new opportunities in Service now that the school is finished

We just set up a bare bones primary school system, now we probably get all kinds of important secondary and tertiary institutions, it's gonna be great. Services might need to start eating some Free dice after the cap goods crisis is staved off, there's a lot of work to do down there. At least it's generally a pretty cheap sector cash-wise, even if it's gonna eat all our dice.

While experience has been gained, assembly of the first stage of processing plants has been slow. Adding to that the wrong type of bolts has been ordered and getting hold of the right kind has been difficult with the current shortage of capital goods.

In the contest of who could finish the building faster, the fabrication plant group lost, a few minor setbacks with the cement mixers and general disorganisation meant their progress was slower than expected.

The assembly plant group meanwhile showed their true colors, assembling the prefabricated building in no time and starting with the installation of the various assembly machines. Their gloating has led to a few shouting matches in the mess hall, but the conflicts have remained nonviolent.

Carter came out successful in the inter department fight over the remaining prototypes, narrowly taking it under the nose of the GDI air force. Carter could almost not believe it once he had left the quarterly budget meeting. He had actually something to do and could use the actual good facilities and resources. Space Force would be delighted, partly at least. The commsat network was under the authority of Space Command, but not directly Space force.

And the treasury had decided to share some of her wealth...finally. Carter would kiss Granger the next time he saw him, more money meant new hires...and new resources for Space Force's side projects.

Sweet, More Dice for Carter! Building Storage because IDK how much storage we actually have and how much we're using, unless + is the Tib we have and ++ is the Storage Cap? IDK. EDIT: Apparently I am blind, we have 3 months of storage atm. Still building more storage though.

Minimizing Personal Dice Use because they're more expensive now and there aren't many super important actions down there atm.

EDIT 2: Apparently there is an actual d45 Funding Die. I am going to keep it in reserve because it apparently can't be used on Personal Projects and we don't have anything hypercritical or super long atm aside from Construction Vehicles, a Personal Project. EDIT 3: Nevermind, it stays around.

I'm not happy to see the income from our first big glacier mining project in a year completely disappear.
 
The income would have disappeared with the next budget anyway, this is just us doing it ahead of schedule for some much needed clout.
 
Honestly, I'm more annoyed that it seems we're cursed to have all the Income dice roll the minimum result now. As I think it's been like that for the last three or four times?

Well hopefully it's on the level of 'building this factory is cursed' and not something like the dolls being full of tiberium crystals.
 
Unfortunate that we did not get blue zone aquaponics done but the decrease in the food surplus was due to people eating better rather then an actual lack of food if I remember correctly. Putting back rationing will not popular but we have 60 PS now. 60 PS is a decent political buffer to have in the face of failures and major Nod attacks.

We are still waiting on the tiberium spread rolls.
 
Aquaponics has been an action we've had available since the beginning, so hopefully when we eventually complete it it will open up some new food opportunities. Otherwise food options are looking kinds sparse.
