Except for once again the energy cost which requires us to do an energy project and the attendant costs for that. But yes we do want to finish that at some point just have to balance things out next year.

Even the Steel Talons don't know yet. That is why it is not specified in the blurb. They are probably going to try three or four weight classes, and see what works well enough to push forward as a finished product.

Also, the priority tags are not a be all end all of what the military branches want. They are a limited indicator of where needs effort, but it does not actually mean that those projects are the things that require maximum effort leaving no room for the other stuff. The list you see reflects the three or four highest priorities of each of the branches, and so actually everything is very important, not just the ones labeled high priority.
So less an indicator of effort involved, and more the things they want most?

Most naval combat against NOD is at the coasts. It's a cheap project too; 1 or 2 dice at 10R each. The only concern is if we can afford the -6 Energy. I think after we finish the next Fusion project might be the right time to do it.
Yeah, I noticed the energy cost so hopefully after the next round of plants. Though if we finish tidal we could finish it with a surplus still around, though of course a bunch of stuff wants energy so it's hardly unique in wanting more power.

Edit: Of course, there's other power requirements I'm forgetting I'm sure so it probably doesn't work out.

Once Boston is finished we should be pretty able to throw most of our Heavy Industry dice at more fusion power, and finish it early next year which would be a good time to do the hydrofoil shipyard. Throwing dice at the hydrofoil shipyard in Q1-Q2 2058 when we're trying to economize on Resource cost would be a good cheap use for any dice we want to give the navy.

Expanding the Moon Base to have living quarters, finishing up the Earth Orbit Long-Range Commsat array, and starting work on Gagarin Station and Development for the Pathfinder landing shuttle.

The plan is to work towards the research lab with improved construction on the moon with the brickmaker and a second lab to house the lab.

We can do 3 manned missions, one is the moon base with the union leaving both leopards for manned exploration.

we did not do any abatement or mitigation this turn. I think next one, we can get our big projects and some of that done to make up for it, as it looks like we lost ground.

We gained ground against both Red and Yellow Zones, although due to favorable rolls more than anything. Because yes we didn't get any new points of mitigation, and even lost 2 points each of Red and Yellow mitigation. Although staying on schedule with the Stabilizer is more than worth it, and the next phase of Mecca/Jeddah will complete next turn and neatly cancel out the -2 to each we got this turn with a +2 next turn.

@Ithillid for the Steel Talons plasma weapon, what platform are they thinking of putting it on? The Mastadon? Mammoth? Titan? Or will it be small enough to fit on the Havoc?
I keep forgetting about the Mastadon even though it's been an available Steel Talon project since near the beginning of the game.
While it's not at the level of the Mammoth Mk. 2, I can't help but imagine what a monster it would be with all the upgrades we're researched packed onto it.

NOD has their own terror weapons. Let us unleash one of our own.

thank you. I just have not been able to find the tiberium rolls, so I did not know what to think yet.

Quoted For Truth, because wow, the military do NOT know what is inside the mystery box of a development project, so they will NEVER prioritize those projects very highly.

More or less. The military have three factors working on them here.
1. They have some decent idea of what the state of the art is, but what is practicable to bring out as a system is somewhat substantially more fuzzy, and you don't know until you basically have a system.
2. They are almost always (especially in the current circumstances) going to prioritize factories over developments. They want hardware this year that they can use against the Brotherhood, rather than something a couple years out, especially because they know that you will be sending them out to fight for abatement and income in the mean time.
3. You have a lot of projects that you have developed but not deployed yet. Some of those have gotten left in the dust for years on end with no indication that you even want to work on them.

Looking at the turn those would be Orca refits, the Orbital Strike station, Hydrofoils, and Point Defense Refits.

If I can remember these are passed over for reasons like there being more important projects (basically everything), I'd rather do ASAT/It costs too much (Orbital Strike), Capital Goods are needed elsewhere (Orca), costs too much energy (Hydrofoils), and helps too little has too much progress (Point Defense).

Granted I'm not complaining about our choices. We have made good progress. But our military developments are best summed up as putting out one fire before we're distracted by the next fire. We do have a tendency to focus on something and then completely forget it due to finding a better shiny or there being a new crisis.

I am surprised that the war factory refits are not a high priority or is that due us not having the capital goods needed to do that project?

It's a "boring" project even by military terms and is essentially described as bringing everything up to actual spec instead of running with what you have so even they aren't overly worried. We haven't done it due to capital goods issues.

Super late in posting this, as I didn't realize @Darkandus had rolled the Tib Spread before the turn results dice. We've officially reached the point where the RZ dice is only in the 90th Percentile.

Current as of Q2 2057.

I will probably stop posting these at this point unless the results get worse; if people would rather keep seeing them let me know. I'll keep adding data because it doesn't take much effort to maintain now, but I'd say we're firmly out of the "Holy Shit that's High" Territory.

Now I just need to roll below average another 28 times in a row :V

I think Gagarin Station might be important. If nothing else, we should see what options its next stage unlocks.

There are a few things here.
1. They are a "not my donkey" type problem. As in they are a problem for you, but not for the military, because during the war, the Treasury secretary at the time surge built a lot of capacity. That capacity has left GDI with some significant administrative overhead, but that is your problem.
2. The military actually has "enough" of most extant hardware from that era. Would they say no to more battlebases? Would they say no to more Predators, or Firehawks, or grenades, rifles, and any of the other paraphenalia of war? Absolutely not. But at the same time they don't "need" more of any of it particularly desperately.

I am definitely interested in these.
