I'm not sure Crawlers are that cool tbh. Kinda cringe imho.
I could see them having their uses, especially in places like MARV hubs where the base is isolated more by tiberium than by enemy action, and where it's a pain in the ass to need to resupply even with hovercraft or aircraft.
They said tiberium research and something juicy.
I have no idea what it could be.
All I know is, if they want to steal our tiberium inhibitors and build some themselves, more power to 'em.
Discord previews suck. The author either needs to stop sharing pre-post info in Discord, or people need to stop leaking it.
Or!
Or or or.
People need to stop freaking the fuck out and slamming out hardline hot-take proposals ("BAN THE TALONS!" "NO, DOUBLE FUNDING TO THE TALONS!") in response to every little rumor, tidbit, and partially relayed report of information they encounter.
The really toxic thing about a Discord in a quest is when you have information
not getting shared, so that you wind up with a two-tier system in which people who've been reading the Discord all know important facts that are not accessible to the thread.
Here and now, we have the problem that when information
does get shared, people handle it badly. That's not the Discord's fault.
Noow, someone said earlier in the thread it was the de-accelerator tech that we got from the scrin that essentially allows us to tell Tiberium to grow slower. And how with it, NOD can now turn our inhibitors into bombs that accelerate tiberium growth. Which would mean our giant tiberium stabilizer network...could potentially be turned around decreasing time between each mutation, assuming NOD can hack it and they think they were gonna lose anyway, so might as well make it as painfully as possible for us.
Though, i can't find the comment mentioning that they stole the inhibitor tech now, so i wonder if it was deleted
If,
hypothetically, that were true:
1) We could presumably shut down and reboot our own stabilizers and inhibitors, or failing that blow them up pretty quickly. We know where they are and have orbital doom cannons on speed dial. Having to rebuild the system from scratch would suck, but we could do it.
2) Nod could achieve more or less the same effect just by deliberately spreading enormous amounts of tiberium all over the place, which would be a lot simpler in that it's something they've successfully done in the past, and can be done with much lower tech and without having to directly hack past our security protocols.
