Also since I'm actually a little offended it wasn't mentioned, my plan actually has the most aggressive investment into space development. 12 dice and Erewhon, with 11 dice on Columbia to give us a 1-in-3 chance of Phase 4 in one turn!

If you wanna go to space, vote for 'New Steel, New Plants, New Stations' today!

I would not be surprised by ships under construction being fitted with Infernium lasers when said lasers become available. It's actually the easiest to integrate a redesign while a ship is still under construction.
Frigates don't need redesign for disco balls. They were design for but not with them from the start. More like that they don't need to slap a hatch/cover/whatever over the mount point because there's no disco ball to install.

One of my main concerns with pushing much on Alloy Foundries is that -4 energy. When a GFZA phase is -2 energy and we have only 43 energy for everything, we could really chew fast through our energy without anything to offset. If I was to put dice on foundries, I'd also be activating DAE. +4/turn completely offsets an alloy phase, and not completing a phase helps offset other energy usage, and if we manage an alloy phase a turn, DAE buys time for ICCF work to get going to help out too.

That, more than anything is why I did not alter my plans to include Alloy Foundries.

And if you like sustainable growth in space, go for Plan Life in Space! 7 dice on Columbia gives us 98% to finish Phase 3, we actually start Shala with 1D+Erewhon (and almost certainly finish Phase 1, possibly phase 2), and finish cleaning up the orbitals with 2 dice! Never again will we have to see Orbital Cleanup, and we get a shiny bonus to satellites on top of unlocking space solar power!

But your step (2) relies on being able to scale up the stealth disruptor into a device for blamming Nod stealth fields from orbit altitude. I'm pretty sure we won't be able to mass-blam stealth fields from such a long range, though. So I expect the plan to be just as workable whether we build the satellites before or after we develop the stealth disruptor. Either way, step (2) has to be done from a ground or air platform, not from one of the LOSS satellites. Or that's my perspective.
Could make a explosive-pumped stealth disruptor? Then drop it in a pod from orbit.

(My original idea was considerably more Doctor Strangelove, but then I looked up how nuclear EMPs actually work.)

IN FACT, here's another plan, this time with a full 14 dice + Erewhon in space! And a 90, that's right, 90 percent chance of Columbia 4! And some investment in Suborbital Shuttles in the bargain!

Updated plan:
Changing the communal arcologies to Housing Refits, for a chance of actually getting that done, adding Erewhon to Improved Fusion to boost that, cutting dairy for this turn, and using the free die and resources that freed up to get a start on Orca drones.

[X] Plan Rearden Wept

Reason is the alloys do seem to be entierly doable with our other goals.

Doing some napkin math going for alittle over 50% possibility we have about 8000 points to do in heavy industry doing nukk, boston, and alloys. Not considering the discounts we have the dice to do that with 35 free dice in addition to our heavy dice over the next 13 turns.

Orbital is about 9780 if we assume our goals to get 20k population costs about 3x time the points columbia and shala do which seems pretty conservitive. We can do that with 21 free dice plus orbital dice over 13 turns.

This leaves us about 5 turns of free dice or 35 in flex if we need to spend extra if the odds arent in our favor and this is entierly neglecting the bonus from the alloys which gives us significantly more slack.

Most of the arguments ive read against rushing alloys is warning we may not have the dice to do it and our other objectives but it does not seem that this is the case. Of course this is a simplified look at it nor including needing to make power or other supplementary things too support the construction but i do belive it still generally is accurate.

I would like a verson of that plan with some edits though such as 2 dice on the new power plants rather then 1.

So, I'm considering options. Would people like my base plan (Foot off the Mining Pedal Q2 2062) more if I swapped Aberdeen (2D) for Alloy (2D) with the idea that next turn we can drop 4-5D on Alloy to finish Phase 1?

As an aside, when I look at new tally to see what the current votes are (in case I need to tag people that voted for the base plan regarding this potential change), it appears that votes for my plans are being counted separately to my actual plans? Am I just seeing things, or is something off about the vote lines between the people that voted and my plan name lines?

[X] Foot off the Mining Pedal Q2 2062

This is definitely my favorite plan -- laser refits, zone armor, both eye options, not going nuts on the alloys (I'd be down for 3 or 4 dice on them, but not more than that); it's possible I'm missing something, of course, and if somebody can point out a plan that also fulfills those requirements I'd be happy to vote for it too.

EDIT:

I'd be fine either way, but the alloys certainly appear to be quite popular.

So seeing as I don't like any plan, the logical conclusion is to make my own. Unfortunately, I just don't have the skills to do the math and editing all on a phone. Still, here's my attempt.
