I have no idea. Definitely the record in any quest I've been in, but that's not a ton of them. Was that the site record? I can't think of many to top 150, much less close to 400.

Arm cannot possibly provide lasting, snowballing benefit to the forces of order, Nut can. If it is from the oak of ages then it can help a little with shielding the expedition from chaos. It isn't lustrian gold, it doesn't cost an arm or a leg to use.Why are so many people voting for the nut over the arm? We're much, much more likely to find the arm useful. We have two relevant traits to leverage what we may learn from it and an employee with a perfect skill set to investigate it.
Mostly to afford more books and towers, especially if we vacate our loremaster position and therefore lose our book budget.
They've each got at least a 60 vote lead for Yes, so we probably are grabbing both.
We'd be nutty to pass up either opportunity, luckily they're both quite poplar.

If it is a acorn from the tree of ages it passively protects from the forces of chaos. Not anything needed. Now if Mathilde can access the large magical reserve it is that is another thing. The arm certainly can, if we use it to reverse engineer even the least of Slann or Old One enchanting techniques and share them with the Colleges.
The nut, even if it's what we think it is, almost certainly cannot. It's standard equipment given to Asrai spellcasters who venture outside Athel Loren. If it could do what you suggest, it very likely already would have been used for that. Acorns of the Ages don't appear to be able to grow new Oaks of the Ages.

I am starting to think all Dawi are radicals in some way, they just either justify it away or say their brand of radicalism is actual tradition...
"Hey Max, be a pal and translate this will ya"You know, I'm almost tempted to go to the slave hall and cause trouble. Like, I know it's a bad idea and we really shouldn't, but I want to try.
Also, I'm curious, what do people actually plan to do with the researcher's books? We can't really translate the Lizardmen stuff, and I'm not sure the elf could either, so we would probably just be turning it over to Ulthuan. Granted, getting another Elf favor—would that be enough to earn more time on the island, I wonder?—would be nice.
I've been toying with the idea that was mentioned a while back - we should commission a custom gyro-carriage. Though, hiring a bright journeyman to stoke the thing seems a much safer bet than trying to enchant it. Either way, being free of range limitations would let us do a lot.

We took a bunch of enchanting related feats, regularly conduct magical research, and are considering using our Transcendental Boon™ to build the Old World's greatest order library as a magical research facility. Can you see how researching an example of, at worst, Slann enchanting might teach us some new things? That's not even getting into the possibility it's Old One work.Arm cannot possibly provide lasting, snowballing benefit to the forces of order, Nut can. We know of someone that did fuck with the Chaos Dwarves and got away with it: LM Grey. She's now stuck in Altdorf lest she be constantly harassed by assassins, assassins competent enough to make a Grey Lady Magister's life hell unless she stays in a college separated from reality. So even in a world we do succeed, we are probably getting hunted constantly, and are only safe in K8P, still constantly having disposable, well equipped (they gave the assassins after LM Grey a fricking submarine) assassins constantly after us. Eventually, without living on a separate plane of reality, they'll likely get us on a lucky (for them) roll.
And that's the good outcome of fucking with the Chaos Dwarves, if our half thought out plan actually works.
Two Stirland Dwarf Fortresses worth of magical souvenirs. I'm pretty sure the Golden Claw is a relative bargain (it's solid gold, at the least), while the Seed is at the least appropriately priced.[ ] Have the dwarves build you a fortress. (1000 gc, -2 dwarf rep. Protects but does not build living area. No, there is no cheaper option. If you want cheap, get manlings to build it.)
Honestly, might be better if it's something Slann-made.Can you see how researching an example of, at worst, Slann enchanting might teach us some new things? That's not even getting into the possibility it's Old One work.
You shouldn't really need unicorn hair for that tough. It sponteniously happened IRL already.Wait, I think I got it- a lute strung with unicorn hair is one of the casting ingredients for The Dance Without End, a ritual that causes a single person to dance until they die, and anyone that sees them dancing also has to dance until they die.
Read the fandom for oak of ages Oak of AgesFrom what I've found, Acorns of the Ages can be expended to spontaneously grow forests or to act as Ghyran batteries, and that's about it.
I've not found anything about them warding off chaos.
