To take charge of the other wizards is tempting - but we know how to lead Stirlanders. We don't know how to command wizards. Especially ones from other orders. ^^;
As someone who originally held that view, I changed it when I realized that it's probably better than leaving them in the hands of anyone else here.
 
Right now it seems we're spending time with wolf, amber mage and delivering message to dwarf.

Agreed. We really could use even just one other wizard on dispelling duty, it's currently the gaping weak point in Belegar's entire army.

Ghur:
Calm the Wild Beast. A nearby animal becomes placid and rideable towards you for several hours or unless you attack it.
Cruelty's Deserts. Blesses an animal for a month. Anyone who harms that animal becomes a pariah for the next month.
The Beast Broken. Makes a nearby animal docile towards humans, elves, dwarfs and halflings.
Form of the Soaring Raven. Become a raven for 1 hour. You retain your mind, but cannot talk or use magic. Can be ended at will.
Claws of Fury. Your nails turn into sharp claws for a few minutes, giving you a skilled and rapid attack.
The Beast Made Well. Heals the wounds of an injured natural animal you touch. No familiars or monsters.

Chamon:
Stoke the Forge. Makes a fire burn super hot without consuming extra fuel, for about an hour.
Guard of Steel. Defensive metal orbs spin around you for about a minute, helping to parry attacks.
Fault of Form. A nearby weapon becomes lower quality for about a minute. Penalizes attacks, loses special abilities, more likely to jam or explode.
Inscription. Write an indelible message into any metallic surface. Recognizable handwriting.
Law of Logic. An ally gets a bonus to one roll during the next 5 minutes. Slow to cast.
Law of Form. You transmute an object into having the strength and weight of steel for a few minutes. Appearance unchanged.
Curse of Rust. You rust and corrode a nearby light metal object (no targeting cannons) into uselessness.

These being only the low-end ones that a Journeyman might have. Also, access to petty and lesser magics as in our own list.

Aside from these, Amber journeymen going to war would probably know "The Ox Stands", which is pretty simple and super-amazing in mass combat. All allies in 48 yards who are affected by Fear or Terror are relieved from these effects (without any checks!) and are immune to the Fear/Terror from that source in the present circumstances.

Metal has moderately difficult "Trial and Error", which grants re-roll to a group of allies in a 12 yards radius, probably good for artillery line.

On a random note, we might want to conceal where the healing comes from for anyone not on the council, to decrease the frequency of people and non-people alike wanting to wrest it from us.
Wouldn't a dwarfhold be underground?
It's big enough that birds would be fine. The real problem is not ending up as something's snack.
 
From what the enchanter said I don't think the item can be taken from us, chances are if we die for real the item will simply break.
 
Eh, if we die we get to party, drink single-malt scotch, and smoke cigars made from poorly worded legal documents in whatever kickass afterlife-bar Ranald has. :p
 
@BoneyM If we vote wizard, but a more senior wizard comes along, do we automatically take charge of the Stirlanders if that's second most voted?
I doubt it will actually happen, but part of me can see the Ranald dice having Belegar Ironhammer go: "She got here first, deal with it."

While it would cause untold complications, it could be amusing to be in charge of more senior wizards. But even if they didn't take over automatically, I suspect there would be a vote.
