Whee, we got a new great deed! And AV has proven its use to dwarven runecraft!

You grimace at the thought. "What sort of dragon? Great Fire? Horned?"

He sips his tea to conceal a grimace. "A dragon. Definitely a dragon. You'll see what I mean. One more reason not to let anyone get trapped that way."
... Did he give us a fucking Dread Saurian or something?! Or some other equally 'Well, I could see some cultures calling this beastie a Dragon...' type of monster?

That would certainly give more substance to the "They won't have the training we have to retain our selves when in the form of another, and it won't take long for them to lose themselves, and then you've got a feral beast on your hands" warning. Because a Dragon isn't exactly a Feral Beast -- it's terrifyingly smart. But a Dread Saurian certainly is.

Staff Notice: Rule 2: This whole "I'm getting tired of seeing minorities getting representation" business is itself getting tiring.
[ ] [ROMANCE] Magister Johann
I'm not gonna vote to romance the bloody dragon, Roswita seems creepy given our crush on her dad, Anton is far away and tied down and long distance relationships suck, Oswald is fun but just does not seem very compatible with Mathilda to me at all and while I have nothing against lesbians they keep getting inserted everywhere it sometimes seems so I am somewhat tired of it. Also they are uncommon and both our target and us just so happening to be one (or bisexual) without any mention beforehand seems contrived to me.

Johann meanwhile is interesting, fellow wizard, closest to our peer, and our interactions went quite well I think. We were there when he tried gilding his eyes, which means quite a bit I think, romanticly or not.

[ ] Elder Hluodwica, High Priestess of Esmerelda and civilian leader of the Eight Peaks Halflings.
I don't remember picking her before, and I am quite interested in how the halflings are doing.

[ ] Kasmir, to see how he's keeping himself busy in Sylvania.
I loved the last time we have talked, we really should check up on him. He is a friend.

[ ] Follow up on your donation of the Skaven organ-vat, and see what has been made of it.
This seems very interesting.

[ ] Julia, See what she has gotten up to as Stirland's most experienced spy master.
For my fourth pick, maybe this? Not sure, but checking up on our old job and our student seems like a good idea.

Edit: Strike through a part that seems to offend people, working on figuring out why.

Ladies, gentlemen and you wonderful, wonderful nonbinary people of Divided Loyalties, the time has come!

[ ] [ROMANCE] Elector Countess Roswita van Hal
[ ] [ROMANCE] Baron Anton Kiesinger II
[ ] [ROMANCE] The Ice Dragon of Karag Zilfin

We make this voterblock. As long as all of us who prefer at least one of these wonderful love interests vote together, we should be able to push our will through!

This leaves us with one vote slot open, to use as neccesary. I suggest we use it to placete the thread, to pick up whatever lad or lass is most popular with the rest of us. Though we might also want to ally with one of the other armadas. This is only a preliminary vote, to get our foot in the door. Mathilde's romantic fate will not be decided here.

Also, I can assure you that I am going to approval vote aggressively and shamelessly.

Now we have an ominous roughly hewn menhir we sacrifice wild animals to.

That is good for our wizardly aesthetics. Wonder what the Dwarves think of that. Could a Dwarf even use it, given their innate magic resistance?

YOU'RE BACK! First Guile, now you! I am so excited to see the old faces popping out of the woodwork!

Anyway, my draft at votes:
[ ] [ROMANCE] Elector Countess Roswita van Hal
[ ] [ROMANCE] Chief Bombardier Oswald Oswaldson
[ ] Elder Hluodwica, High Priestess of Esmerelda and civilian leader of the Eight Peaks Halflings.
[ ] Karak Hirn, to satisfy your curiosity about Prince Ulthar.

The two Romance options I really like, plus the two Expedition notables we've never socialed.

Please don't vote for things you don't actually want.

Can someone quantify what 110 Colledge Reputation actually... means? I imagine it's a lot, but how much of a lot are we talking about here?

So on a scale of 1 to 10 how horrified to you guys think Belegar will be about the provenience of the Altar?

I mean it was litterally looted from bestmen. If Skaven are the dark mirror of the dwarfs beastmen are just the opposite in all ways, the denial of all craft and civilization. On the other hand he did ask for a weapon to fight a dragon, those do not exactly grow on trees.

But find the time in the coming year to go through anti-Chaos training. That's an order.
I do believe that this order is meant to directly address the loyalty/reliability part of advancement to the rank of Lord (Lady?) Magister. Considering that our ability is quite firmly established and we were a Magister for five years in a hot zone, if we ace that training, I believe we will be quite close to getting another promotion.

[X] [ROMANCE] The Ice Dragon of Karag Zilfin

Because I want to talk to the dragon, also I think it'd be neat.

[X] Adela, to see how she's going with her mechanical aspirations.

She's the last most recently talked to duckling

[X] Elder Hluodwica, High Priestess of Esmerelda and civilian leader of the Eight Peaks Halflings.

I don't remember ever talking to her

[X] Empress Heidi, to pay her a social visit and see how Mandred is growing

Must admit I like Thorek Ironbrows methodical approach. Sure, it's going to frustrate any wizard, but it at least ensures the results are safe. A true scientist rather than artist.

I suspect that training is the last thing to finish before we're made wizard lord. Ace and its done I suspect. Especially when we drop opening up an alliance between the dwarven runesmiths and the colleges.

He'll tolerate it. Barely. In recognition for everything we've done for him and his people. But he won't be happy with it. And neither will anybody else.

Honestly with how unlikely we are to agree on what to use them on, never mind to use them at all, I kind of just want to put a Great Deed towards best in the college training to push through multiple classes per individual action or somesuch.

Autocorrect? His name is Thorek.

I dunno man, methodical testing like that is how scientists operate, you need a complete data set, you only jump ahead if you're absolutely sure of your results or if you're look to prove your self wrong. The only reason you wouldn't be that methodical is if you literally don't have the funding.

You nod along, but are struck by a sudden suspicion. "Imbues how?"

He shrugs. "Some strange tangle of energies one of the other Colleges came up with a few years back." You repress a sigh. Ambers. Sometimes it seems like they keep more secrets by accident with their disdain for the trappings of civilization than the Greys do on purpose.
Our matrix coming in useful :)

I'm gonna go ahead and recommend that we not use Ranald's Coin on the anti-Chaos training action we eventually take.

If there's any action where divine interference with probability would be noticed and looked at with incredible suspicion, it would be the Grey Order's anti-Chaos classes.

"This is astounding work, Magister. And it's about to make the War Below a lot more interesting. Most will never learn of this, and even fewer will know that it was done by you, but those that matter will."

Ahh, I pity the people who think that Mathilde can't do subtle things. They are just so subtle and so groundbreaking that the mere knowledge that it could be done is locked up in chains and locks and memory wipes.

Another great deed for the history books, even if no history book will ever record it.

Sorry, yes, I miswrote that. Corrected to what I meant.
Autocorrect? His name is Thorek.

Thanks. my bad.

Anyway, Since we're still on voting moratorum. What do you guys think of the merits of interspecies relationships with another of the DnD massive crossbreeding races? In the wrong setting? I might be trying to nudge things towards the dragon as a romance option.
