Melkoth's birthday shenanigans got me thinking: Wouldn't every Imperial Wizard who's been active for over fifty years have to have lived through both the Night of a Thousand Arcane Duels and Dieter shutting down the Colleges?
 
Wait a minute, aren't trolls considered a delicacy to the dwarf race? I'm surprised no one thought of farming them for food.
 
On a point I discovered while re-reading the previous chapter. Belegar gave us direct orders that the Tower shouldn't be able to be utilized without us or by accident. We have slightly sidestepped that by making sure that it's a selective targeting enchantment, but there's still some danger.
A proper checkpoint should be required at this point.

Edit: In short, our tower is the most valuable thing in the mountain, it must be protected.

[X] DUCK: Work with Panoramia for her to finally get around to investigating the greenskin mushrooms she found.

If we have a checkpoint then we need provisions.

We do have a formal office, but a meeting room in the tower could be useful as well. Since we have a full 360 degree view of the surroundings, I reckon that this might become a war room in the future.

I, Inattentive Idiot(Omegahugger), vow to make a plan that excludes making shrines/temples to the God of Deceit and instead research the snakejuice if no one else does.

Eh, fair enough. i forgot the lizards don't really like anybody without scales. On the other hand if we were really, really sneaky, we might still gain something from such an encounter. Not sure if it would be worth the effort though.

With this project, I think we can cross figuring out how to make our tower fly off the list of long-term projects. I doubt any of the parties we are beholden to would appreciate us making off with one of Belegar's mountains, and the entire mountain is now pretty unquestionably a part of our tower.

I'm also pretty sure that the concept could even be applied to the larger tunnels. Basically, build a Burning Shadow room into a check-point of the Grand Avenue and place a huge light-source behind it. Voilà: If anyone tries to storm the tunnel, the dwarfs can pull a lever and the assault is melted. Much too expensive for anything more than the largest of tunnels, and any serious assault could probably wait it out, but it should seriously beef up those central cross ways and tunnels.

I have to say that I don´t think we should work all that hard to become a Magister Lord... The greatest advantage that gave us was that it unlocked the learning of Battle Magic, but since we have already unlocked it I don´t know think we are in a hurry... I still want to become one, but we can just wait and the Grey Order will eventually give Mathilde that tittle once they considers us ready...

Yes, I am all for trying new things once we conquer the rest of K8P, but I think we should always have K8P as out home/base of operations...

Johann's rat-wolves won't ever be as young and pliable as they are this turn. I can't help thinking that Wolf and Mathilde will be better Skaven handlers for the experience too.

Panoramia's 'shooms has an obvious synergy with testing AV on living things. For one thing she can get us test subjects and undoubtedly knows protocols for live testing. It makes sense to take the two options together next turn.
 
@BoneyM Quick questions. Is it possible to cancel the construction of one of the rooms in order to make Kragg do something to key the Tower to a literal set of runic keys, or is it possible to do such a thing afterward?
 
Mathilde should put smoke and mirror into Mathilde's matrix inside herself. It will allow to activate it instantly and without risk of miscast when needed

Also Sun redirection is probably just giant Ulgu prism like a lense we used for glassmaking

Not sure we've got enough juice in the displacer for it, displacing the sun for the whole season is going to be harder than for a battle or two.

The cold, unapproving gaze of a Death God is pretty good security. More so than physical keys that could be stolen.

I am sort of imagining that the activation of our tower would look like a giant version of the Dwarven Ancestor god grabbing our tower as if it was a sword hilt, drawing a mountain sized sword and them swinging it down at the target position.

Mathilde's Matrixes should not be embedded in spellcasters, Mathilde included. By WOG it's dharbait and verboten.
