I agree with Redshirt. It doesn't matter whether they have feelings for another, that is not the kind of quest I'd like to read, nevermind the secrets and divided loyalties which I have yet to see a single person answer on.

Though personally, I still see it more of "good friends", with out a particular physical attraction, certainly not from Mathilde's side. My headcannon for her type is more "lethal badass", not "crouching sheep, hidden diplomancer". Mind, that doesn't really stop me, since my idea of a proper romantic relationship is "best friends, and also you want to fuck", where the first part is important, and the second is, uhm, secondary.

Agreed on the lack of physical attraction thing. Mathilde as written doesn't seem to have much any towards anyone. I don't even recall if she had much towards Abelhelm, either. Seemed like it only came up as she got to know (and stop fearing) him.

But I am not going back to dig through even more.

[] Marry them... without any specific target seems like spite voting to me. I don't want to anger anyone or insult anyone, but voting for the sake of another vote not winning, not because you like what you vote seems just spite voting.

Ultimately, for me it comes down to this: Anton/Mathilde would be cute, and I can totally see it. If I could read all versions of this quest, I'd love to check it out.
But since there's only one quest, I think I prefer adventuring.

I would prefer that any of the "Marry Them" votes win over either of the "Marry Me" options, and so my vote reflects that. It's not spite, it's just me expressing my opinion.

I don't see how that's not a valid and acceptable vote, though. It's a vote for "not me", which is a perfectly acceptable preference to make known.

There is a difference between not wanting an option to win and a spite vote.
The first comes into play where there is a scenario you really don't want to see played out.
The second is when you vote because you want to deny someone else what they want.

I really don't want Math to marry Anton. Therefore, I voted for all the other marriage options.

So I've sort of skipped most of the Anton/Mathile debate, but how would Anton and Mathilde deal with the fact that Mathilde is pretty much moving to K8P pretty permanently and Anton has to manage a barony in Stirland?

And we are pretty much permanently settling down in K8P, what with the tower and all our research being moved. It's going to take a pretty large event to force us to leave. And if we do, it will most likely be years and years from now.

Not that I have anything against romance or overcoming hardships for love, but I want to know the expected logistics here, since I don't really want to abandon K8P for Stirland. Especially as we're probably going to invest a lot of favors in our home.

People seem to think that just because we can use gyrocopters to visit that it will be fine.
