[X] Remain in Karak Eight Peaks, either in the employ of Belegar or pursuing your research.
Cool people, established reputation, LOTS of opportunities, few groups we need to treat with actual diplomacy trying to piss in our cereal.
[X] Give them away...
- [X] To the Amber College
Lets actual experts try to maximize the Empire's benefits from them and buys favor useful for a wide spectrum of thing Dwarf favor isn't great at.
[X] Scout the rest of the Eight Peaks, to find out what other horrors are waiting out there.
Avoid nasty surprises and good ground work for just about any future local intrigue position.
[X] Claim the site where Ranald mugged Mork and build a shrine to Ranald there.
Has waited long enough, and I'd rather have the ground work done before we get bogged down with other options.
I'm pretty easy on the last option. Taking enough time out of a six-month turn to swing by Stirland, pick up our shit, and visit should be possible while still fulfilling official duties, and at least for our personal research materials it's not something where we benefit much from having them early—so long as we've got them before we want to start devoting time to investigating them we're good. Odds are also decent that at least our first few turns are going to be a scramble focused on logistics anyway—even if we go full researcher we'd want to have the lab built, library acquired, bug the Grey Order for a research assistant, start improving our mathematics, and potentially other stuff before we'd actually be settled in enough to start studying the snake juice itself, and finding the time in there to swing by and pick it up shouldn't be hard.
