I wonder if we're finally going to pick up a von Carstein skull for our collection. We're only missing that one and a Lahamian one. I think having all five would lead into a really interesting research paper—although I have no doubt that Witch Hunters and Vampire Hunters have already extensively studied the topic.

When did we get a Blood Dragon?

Vlad and Isabella von Carstein's personal smut!
That's what I was thinking :V

Ok, moving on from smut.

The finds we make here could be used to justify some of our liber mortis knowledge.

Like the morrite mass burial ritual.

Given that we just found Vlad and Isabellas chambers we might well find the rgenerating remains of both of them - so our Carstein skull might well be THE original Carstein skull.

That's one hell of a conversation piece.

Stretch goal revealed: Get the skulls of each of the vampire bloodline founders for our collection.

Spoilers for number 10:

So the name Adolphus Krieger rang a few bells in my head, so I looked him up, and he's a Gotrek and Felix character. Specifically, he was a knight who served Mandred and had access to the "Prophecies of Nosferato", which lead him to a Nehekaran artefact called the "Eye of Khemri", which he found... in Praag.

Which is where a certain Boyar was hiding when a certain Dryad came hunting for someone with a certain bloodline.

Adolphus was also turned into a vampire by the original Countess Gabriella.

I believe Vlad's body is kept in a vault in the Grand Cathedral of Sigmar in Altdorf, but when Isabella died on the walls of Altdorf, her body "turned to dust", so it's unknown where she is. The Mad Count, who's mausoleum we just found, was her father as well, but he died a human I think.

Interesting, how did he return in the end times in that case though? Altdorf fell way later than Vlad showed up and I assume the cult of Sigmar would never let HIS body out of sight.

According to End Times, whatever situation that resulted in Isabella dying was so severe that Vlad von Carstein had to submit to Nagash in hopes of reviving her. And Vlad was revived with a handwave from Nagash despite being held under the Cathedral of Sigmar. I assume Nagash deliberately didn't revive Isabella to use her as a bargaining chip, but Vlad didn't think it was easy to bring her back.

Of course, that's End Times.

My main hope is that everybody survived the battle, if not intact then at least intact enough that they can be patched up. If they have, then I'm willing to call this a 100 % win. If not... well, going after a vampire is never going to be safe, and everyone here knew the risk of gribblies going in. So while not a 100 % win, still a definite victory.

Mathilde should leave a calling card on Vlad's bed :V
The trolliest we can think of.

Maybe the coordinates of our bed, so he knows where his sheets are at.
