It's still best if we check in with and get to know Tochter Grunfeld and Zlata, so that's two out of five next turn. I also really want to follow up on either one of the Skaven research options or the Skull River ambush investigation.

I'd be happy to never check on the cactus fief again, or at least not until we actually plan to use it for something beyond the title we get from it. There's way more interesting things going on to keep track of than our cactus.

Honestly I almost feel like we should take a turn (right after elfcation?) where we use actual AP to run around checking in on all our old haunts, see if there's any low effort things we can do and then have a beer with everyone again.

Maintain ties onscreen, with the bonus of actually being able to nudge things since it's real AP?

- Help Roswita storm the last bastion
- Mediate between Belegar and Cython
- Visit Karak Vlag with Panoramia for surveying thier diet and farming
- Provide security for the canal opening with Wilhelma
- Attend the Champion's games with Panoramia, Johann, and Max.
- Tutor Anton Jr in spycraft and counter-assasination
- Officiate a wedding at the Shrine in your fief

Stuff like that?

Visit Karak Vlag with Panoramia for surveying thier diet and farming and plentiful polycule propositions
FTFY :V

I mean, Mathilde would NEVER plan such a thing, but if it were to just happen...?

I hope Boney takes this as fun speculation rather than relitigating a vote, so-

Who do y'all think Mathilde and Pan would add to their polycule if they decided to take things in that direction?

Because tbh I would ship them+Roswita in a heartbeat.

[ ] Seek an exchange arrangement with another Library to be able to make copies of their corpus (specify which, eg: Great Library of Marienburg, Great Library of Altdorf, Ancient Library of Carroburg)
Shouldn't we already have access to the Ancient Library of Carroburg? It's part of the Colleges of Magic and we already partnered with them.

As for the taxes, it doesn't need to be in constant and immediate use for it to not be exploitation. Keeping it in reserve for if it's ever needed or if we do end up getting something for the fief at a later time is just and valid. Having a treasury is not a sin, and it's certainly not worse than emptying it on worthless vanity crap.
Yeah isn't it the case that the headsman's son who basically serves as "steward" has already gotten the sign off on dipping into it if needed? In the sense that he did that one time and when Mathilde stopped by and heard about that she gave the thumbs up so he'd (presumably) figure he can do it again.

I've discovered a possible lore connection.

WFRP 2e: Children of the Horned Rat, page 42:
Not all Skaven beliefs involve their fear of predators. For instance, legend has it that an entire army of Skaven was once lured to its doom by a Human playing upon a set of pipes. The story of the piper is told at banquets, and pipes are traditionally shunned by Skaven musicians as a result. Instead, the Skaven prefer bells of all sizes and tones when composing their own manner of discordant music.

WFRP 2e: Terror in Talabheim, page 10:
The Amber Order runs a close second in representation of Magisters in Talabheim. Few spend time within the city proper, instead practicing their arts in the Taalwelt where wild beasts still run free. A tale persists of an elderly, and crazed, Amber Magister that commands the rats of the city by means of a flute.

Permission to browse and borrow, yes. Permission to unleash an army of scribes upon, not so much. Mathilde would need to seek permission to start copy-pasting their entire corpus, just as they would have to seek Mathilde's permission if they wanted to do so to hers.

[X] spill the beans about Father aspect and work together on finding who they are so Mandred can make miracles in their name.

The topic has somewhat moved on, but leaving a rather powerful enchanted artifact in area where we

1) did not (and indeed, cannot) run proper background check
2) don't leave proper trustworthy guards or are present in ourselves

Is the height of irresponsibility and quick and reliable way to get some pretty significant black marks on our record and reputation

When did the High Elves begin properly engaging with the Empire? Do High Elves really involve themselves with the Empire in the present day?

They have an Embassy that takes deliveries, at least.
Your cargo, carried in a wheelbarrow you borrowed from a cabbage merchant, gets you a meeting with the Ambassador himself, who introduces himself only as Daroir.
And an Ambassador, about whom I only now noticed:
"A respite to suffering. Are you in harmony with the Daroir, if their story here is yet to be concluded?" Daroir: remembrance and the strength of stone. Also the rarely-used polite Eltharin word for the Dwarves, and intriguingly close to their own word of Dawi.

It makes sense that ambassadors sent to a polity that has friendly relations with dawi would be diplomatic enough to use proper forms of adress.

Elfs are very much up for politicking and part of that is knowing how to speak to whom to ruffle least feathers, so it makes no sense to send the ones that are too bitter or prideful to manage to do so.

Uh, the Mootland library?

That's going to be gradually copied over as needed without Mathilde needing to unleash an army of scribes.

2150, and it depends what you mean by 'involve'. They have an ambassador in Altdorf but seem to prefer to trade with the Empire via Marienburg.

You misunderstood the quotes. The Nagarythan (Nagarythine?) ambassador's name is Daroir. The one asking if Mathilde's relationship with "the Daroir" is harmonious is Cython.

I'm working on an infopost and one of my sources is 4e, where it says the University of Altdorf has been getting elven guest lecturers since before the Colleges of Magic and that Finubar sent scholars over during the period where Teclis was teaching magic in the Empire.

It would make sense for someone from the nearly-obliterated kingdom of Nagarythe to focus on remembrance. As contextual as Eltharin is, Daroir may or may not be an elf named Dwarf. But he certainly knows how to hold a grudge...

Someone call the conclave of dwarfy dwarfs, we've got another one.
