Sigmar wins:
Ranald: Mathilde you bitch! I was so close to having a blessed emperor... why would you take this from me?
Mathilde: *shrug*. I was so close to "gotta catch em all" the gods, and yet, here we are.
Ranald: ... dangit.
Mathilde: At least you still get something marginally useful out of it? Maybe?
Ranald: you're doing it on purpose, aren't you?
Mathilde: I dunno, mostly just playing it by ear at the moment
Ranald: That's it, you are so smote! Actually scratch that, you just reminded my why I actually like you

:V

Edit:
Mathilde: Aww man, I was hoping to see if Kragg's runework would hold out against divine smiting. Would that have removed your ability to smite people?
Ranald: Attagirl!

I am deeply, deeply uncomfortable with the idea of dedicating a 7 year olds soul to a god to the extent that being a priest requires. At least with being a wizard, he gets to loosely choose what type of person he wants to be, but as a priest he will be expected to act as an extension of Ranald's will, not his own person.

Throw in the political complications of being a nobleman who direct serves and channels the power of the god of thieves, criminals and revolutionaries, and it just isn't a sound choice at all.

Compare it to being a wizard—sure, he might never get the votes to be emperor, but none of the other candidates are bad choices, and having an elector who is taught by the college's would be great—especially since Reikland (or maybe it's just Altdorf) takes a special pride in being unbothered by wizards. A wizard grand prince would absolutely be fine.

And besides, who knows—maybe wizard prince Mandred will legitimise magic, and we will get a wizard emperor.

Mathilde also raised some great points about the vulnerability of the college's—one bad emperor nearly destroyed them. Having an elector write laws protecting them would mean that could never happen again.

[X] Wizard

Also, assuming there's any genetic component to Wizardry, it's quite likely that Wizard Elector Mandred's descendants will face the same issue.
Hopefully in a more wizard friendly political sphere.
Wizard elector just gets the ball rolling.

And if there's any truth to the proximity theory... Roswita's Children are next on the list.

I do not think Roswita is any more likely than the average person to have wizard children. The last magician ancestor of hers we know of was centuries ago and he was barely a wizard my most standards, it is just that he had the lore of the Liber Mortis.

Tbh getting Mandred to be a wizard Elector while getting Rose on Emperor throne would be a fucking coup too.

She might've had magophobia, but she was taught to counter it by pragmatism, saw the worth that wizards have and is naturally aligned with battlewizards. Could be neat.
If it did come up a hundred, would Mathilde get a trait :D

[X] Wizard

I have changed my opinion, while the priest bit would no doubt be interesting, i don't want to gamble with the kids future more than i need to.

He coughs into his flagon and only just manages to keep from propelling some of it across the crowd. "Drycha?"

"Who?"

He blinks at you as he wipes his mouth. "Was it led by an Ulgu Branchwraith?"

"Yes, but I didn't get her name before I cut her in half."

He stares at you for a while, and sighs when he realizes you're serious. "I think we need more kestrels. Can you tell me the full report?"
Silver Savage lives up to her name:D
I can easily imagine Conan saying something like this.

Boyar Kalishinivik of Resvynhaf.
Typo: Kalashinivik

You're his godmother, you're a Wizard, and you have a more well-rounded relationship with our God than I do. And you're the only one, apart from Him, that I can talk to about this. Please, give me your advice."
You know, I think this is the most genuine emotion we've seen from Heidi yet. She's usually very composed, putting up a facade or tailoring her response to the situation as a master manipulator. It's very humanizing to see her showing vulnerability and reflecting on her values and what's important to her.

Personally I'm all for this character development and would love to see her be more candid around Mathilde. I get the impression that some of the antipathy towards Heidi is because she acts too sly and cunning normally, so bringing her more down-to-earth would help offset that.

Which dukedom is he from? Wiki doesn't have a clear answer. Is it Couronne?

I don't like any of the options. Maybe some other god. Maybe hmm... One of Ranald's daughters?

[X] spill the beans about Father aspect and work together on finding who they are so Mandred can make miracles in their name.

Somehow tying the Father into this just speaks to me.

Mathilde: Every child i get attached to becomes a wizard
The colleges: Mathilde, you're on nursery duty indefinitely, effective immediately.

I see this as an absolute win.
