Probably freaking the fuck out as they realize on a meta level that their scouting rolls probably failed horribly, or else they would probably know the answer to that question. Especially if they got any indication at all the more stuff was about to go down, or recognized Boris from a description and realized he wasn't who they expected. So to get away from the current argument for a bit, what do you all think the Drycha Negaverse is doing right about now? I'd imagine her forum is trying to figure out why a random Boyar happens to have 3 Ice Witches on call.
Probably, although depending on if the Scouting rolls were shown or not their reactions might differ. They could just have Drycha's perspective like what we saw in this last chapter which they used to form this ambush plan.Probably freaking the fuck out as they realize on a meta level that their scouting rolls probably failed horribly, or else they would probably know the answer to that question. Ghyran flows through them as they attempt to bend the forest to their will.
Moving on to the dryad casters, I would like our unexpected ally to keep feeding us information and not get magically yoinked- particularly if we're fighting Drycha. I'm just not clear on the degree to which "the forest" that is the surrounding trees is equivalent to "the forest" that is renting space in our head. Also... Milica might have this in the bag. How likely is it that she has windsight? Related question, where is herthe forest is resisting all attempts of it to blend in to its shadows
Man, I would feel so sorry for them if that was the case. Heck, they've probably just got word that Mathilde showed up and we're given a choice to strike certain people or keep waiting for a better opportunity, and they dismissed her because… I don't know, she's a random Grey Wizard in the Forest of Shadows. Not usually a super martial threat and they probably outclass her in stealth. Or, If Drycha's lack of knowledge about the greater world reflects in the players, they would probably just assume she was a Hedgewise or made the connection between Shadow Wizard/Forest of Shadows and think she was just in the area for some reason.Probably, although depending on if the Scouting rolls were shown or not their reactions might differ. DrychaQuest Poster said:I only know Warhammer lore from this quest and videogames, but do random Boyars usually have ice glaives? I don't think they can get one in Total Warhammer, but it's not like the game is perfect about lore. I guess if the ice guard can equip entire units, then it's not that out there?

That is assuming she noticed Mathilde yet, if I had to guess their post set up would probably have been the scouting stuff to get them a general idea of the situation followed by a planning turn on how the army is deployed.Man, I would feel so sorry for them if that was the case. Milica is busy keeping the river frozen. If she drops that to try and 3v1 the Branchwraiths it probably won't end well, on either count.Moving on to the dryad casters, I would like our unexpected ally to keep feeding us information and not get magically yoinked- particularly if we're fighting Drycha. No, that's Nadezhda, who's next to Boris. Milica is busy fighting the non-spellcaster dryads in melee, and probably doesn't have enough momentum to push towards the spellcasters for a while.Milica is busy keeping the river frozen. No, she's fighting the Dryads.
Nadezhda is freezing the river.Nadezhda is by his side, but her attention is on keeping the river in winter's grip, and may be unable to help.
On the path, a trio of the Dryads have not charged with their fellows, and Ghyran flows through them as they attempt to bend the forest to their will. When the scouts begin to return those three could prove easy prey for them, but to those without Windsight, they might seem a much lesser priority than the Dryads currently engaged - and if left unopposed, they could turn the tide of battle. Milica is closest to them, but is currently engaged with the Dryads in melee.

Ah, my mistake. I find it even less likely that someone engaged in melee will be able to counterspell 3 enemy wizards though. That's Nadezhda, with Boris.
Millica is currently engaged with the non-casting Dryads. If she noticed in time and was able to disengage she might be able to disrupt or counterspell the battlemagic they're attempting, perhaps.
E: OK, lot ofninjaEshinfriends here today.
Heavily spell-dependent I would guess. I suspect most magic leans towards fire and forget though, because if you're focusing on maintaining one spell, you can't throw around others, and it's a rare spell that's worth comitting to, to that degree.[x] Leader
The mentions of lilac means she's currently buffing the army right? Are buffs something that typically need concentration or are they fire and forget?
But I think in general I agree with the arguments Drycha is gonna do something at some point and I'd rather try to put her on the defensive vs letting her do whatever.
I had the same though until I realized that the Forrest most likely hates some outside influence trying to control it. Also the Avatar trait seems to be helping us twice in a few months. I wonder if we will get any boost fro the Kislev gods for hunting a enemy of Kislev.I'm probably too trusting of foreign thoughts in Mathilde's head. If you murder some innocent trees, mysteriously receive inside knowledge of tree politics, and then get told through the same mechanism "here's the big bad, you can go stab her lol," what's the appropriate reaction?
But dammit, I can't shake the feeling that it's such a trustworthy mental intrusion.
