Ehhh.
We are already a Wizard, and a Grey one at that - all about being underhanded and deceitful, it's our portfolio and job description. Not to mention "can explode into daemons" thing, which is a bit of aetheric soul-devouring horror elephant in the room.
Despite that, we've earned their trust - or merely average level of disapproval in case of Kragg.

So I doubt Ranald being Ranald is going to add that much trouble. At least being Ranaldite does not make a human prone to exploding into warp gribblies, which automatically makes them more sensible than wizards in dwarven (and human!) eyes, I bet.

The kings deserve the truth, no matter if it might inconvenience us. We have been a great boon to them and I personally doubt that they'd spread the word.
 
Huh, to think we made such a big deal about it and the only response we get is Kragg going 'Sounds plausible'. I feel kinda silly now.

Not really sure what to vote for but there is one thing I'm curious abouy. Does Mathilde actually know how to cook? I ask because I don't know if I want more Mathilde being a senpai to Pam or Mathilde 'Culinary Disaster Artist' Weber being a thing.

@BoneyM How about something like:
[X] Organizing Races for betting on, with Wolf riders, Demurgh riders, and maybe even Mat herself partaking on her shadow horse. Maybe as a racing challenge. Race a magical horse kind of thing, for the Knights. Goat riding dwarves welcome. And no cheating with Gyrocopters, it has to touch the ground!

Not even a little bit. Most Journeymen learn out of necessity but Mathilde had a castle staff and then an adjoining tavern for that. But it should work out, Halflings like company when they cook and Dwarf recipes tend to be straightforward.

Trying to race with mounts trained for war is dicey even when the riders are sober.

I really enjoyed the whole section.
And this little glimpse into Mathilde turning into a Properly Unnerving Grey Magister with college tricks and struggling to keep a straight face was delicious.
