I'm also not implying Mathilde would in any way be involved in the marriage. I'm talking about ganking Vladimir. The Ice Witches can maintain plausible deniability if Mathilde did it, much less so if one of their agents did it.

And if they want us to do that, I will vote against it. We should not be assassinating the leader of our closest ally just to secure assistance from the Ice Witches. If we get caught doing that, it'll be war, and I hope the Ice Witches are not stupid enough to fail to realise that.

Honestly? I wouldn't mind being shoved in a locker by Sigmar if he decides to join me----

[USER WAS WITCH HUNTED FOR THIS POST]

Witch hunted? Why? This is a perfectly normal Sigmarite fantasy.

(I wanted to add an :V , but seeing as this is a polytheistic culture, it may even not be. Some polytheistic cultured had gods getting around, with gods and mortals too. Most famously, the Greek one. And there are, apparently, nonblasphemous depictions of Raland "drinking from Shallya's cup" )

What? I thought he was born and just given a different name. Mandred?
What IronFist said, unborn child of the killed previous empress would be named Karl Franz, so no counterpart to canon Karl Franz in DL:
"They say it's bad luck to pick a child's name in advance," Heidi murmurs, her eyes locked on the sleeping child's face. "Luitpold had one chosen for the previous one. Two, I suppose. Karl Franz."
Mandred is from a different mother and with different upbringing and Ranald's divine attention would be completely different person.

A new post was released detailing one of the new Legendary Lords for TW:WH 3, the Iron Dragon.

I post this and not the previous post they made on Miao Ying because this article is somewhat more relevant to the Empire and DL in extension. The most relevant part is that Shang Yang, the capital of the Western Provinces where the Iron Dragon rules is in the Warpstone Desert and that it has a very heavy trading presence from the western nations. It has permanent Imperial, Estalian and Tilean quarters, which seems relevant for trade concerns. Zhao Ming also appears to be cooperating with "cabals of Metal Wizards" and the phrasing here is very curious because Metal Wizards isn't the kind of phrasing they would use to refer to Cathay's sorcerors.

In fact, there's a line in the article that indicates that "The Jade Dragon" is quite displeased to hear about these cabals messing around with their magical stuff outside the Celestial Court. And these Metal Wizards apparently acquire materials from the Warpstone desert because of all the rare ores in it, although many of them don't come back. Also confirmation that Zhao Ming is an alchemist.

I'm very interested in seeing how Boney reconciles this information in DL's setting. I don't see too many roadblocks in incorporating this lore if Boney desires.

IIRC, Cathay has been pretty firmly in the "we don't really have any real stable contact with these people (except for Dragomas doing a thing that one time)" zone.

But Divided Loyalties is still a decade or two behind the "modern" timeline, and people have been working on making the route at least somewhat safer.

Greasus Goldtooth takes control over the Goldtooth clan and expands his territory to dominate the Ivory Road around 2487 IC (current year in quest). Boney has said before that Greasus' efforts are a large part of what made the trip to the Far East safer, because you could consistently pay tolls to get Ogres to let you pass by instead of being raided.

Also, DL is 35 years before Total War's timeline yes, so it's possible that trade has been boosted significantly over the next few decades and especially during Karl Franz' reign.

Taking the game seven minutes in heaven to a whole other direction I see.

Sexual attraction aside, who is the best and worst divine to spend the game with assuming you can go the talking route?

Best would be Morr I think, very chill in a coffin like place and would probably love to talk to you about interesting dreams.

Worst? maybe Horned one? with rats in enclosed space, Nurgle is a no go and Slaanesh is the type who will spite make noises just to embarrass you, non chaos would probably be Ranald amusingly enough.
