Honestly, Hultressa puts up a great show, as one would expect of a being that has thrived in Druchii society, but she may very well be hiding exhaustion.

Im pretty sure she's been running around making all these preparations ever since Freddie woke up the first time and agreed to work together.

@torroar would resting also allow Freddie to suggest Hultressa spend some time with her daughter?

In the grim, fantasy darkness of Warhammer, this may very well be the very last chance a mother gets to spend some quiet moments with her child.

As Dragon Age once taught me, we take whatever moments of happiness we can. The world will take the rest...

If this includes potions and scrolls as it says, then having buffs and or healing to save people from bad rolls or maximize good ones is a good idea. Freddy doesn't have any more FP IIRC

EDIT: Well, info screen says he has 1 of each, but given my concerns about splitting the party I'll stick with that vote anyway. And removed X for now.

Conserving makes more sense, frankly. Buuuut setting off the Hunger Cult or one of the other ascent religious factions via the bombing should work well now that we've identified the relevant fault lines going into the auction

Otoh, Roland gets his Lady of the Lake reroll, which given the narrative of divine fuckery about to go down at said auction, could prove utterly decisive on the metaphysical layer. Roland as a Questing Knight giving another warp entity a means to nudge things with Natasha out of the way could be genuinely decisive when it comes to attempts at blasphemous intervention


All three have their good points, but Roland as a metaphysical conduit is extremely beefy since we lack any other divine avatars on hand to truly interfere with the chaos aligned pantheons at play. Don't forget that Torroar isn't afraid to invest the attention of such entities in potentially big moments like this. And the fate of so many important people (including Krelian) is a such a moment indeed, especially given the proximity of this party to Norsca

A good point, but given the circumstances in which Freddy got taken by Hultressa in the first place, there's an argument to be made that Isha is as invested in Hultressa's success as the Lady of the Lake is in Roland's. So on that score it evens out.
 
I really want to bring Roland along with us, he's a beast in a fight and I'd just love to fight along side him again.

And she did that by exploiting a loophole via a non renewable resource as a one time whisper in Hultressas mind to be compassionate

If you're going to assume she's in any way capable of tipping the scales in a conflux of the influence of the Druchii pantheon jockeyong against one another you're probably misreading the situation fairly badly. Circumventing such restrictions is the point of divine avatars, and Isha has a big fat zero presenr to the Druchi cults...more than zero.
 
At this point, we want Hultressa at either full bore or as many bombs planted as possible.

Hultressa at full strength is statement enough and a rival sufficient to handle and smooth many issues. Plus it would allow her to destress and spend time with Gwendolyn and make the usual layers of contingency that she has shown she is good with planning and warding.

Conversely, more bombs would be enough to potentially push things to the utter brink such that the Cults all choose to contest for the primacy of Khaine on the Ark, which by necessity requires contesting Alyssa's influence.

Personally, I'm of the opinion to conserve our efforts and allow things to be planned and consolidated so that everyone is at full strength and the Light of Summer has enough time to recharge given Hultressa could likely give a pittance of healing to take the load of the talisman. And again, giving Hultressa the time to scheme in safety and arrive at the event at 100% would be huge for avoiding problems and I'd be thrilled to see what potions she can come up with.
 
Bombs could be useful in for ing the factions to boil over.

But, I wonder...

Things are tense enough that just the appearance of a pyramid farms damage could be enough.
 
Oh man, Eldyra will need a lot of personal care from the Everqueen after this, and the only silver lining being you know she will provide it so long as we get her home safely.

Gwen jumping to Freddy's defense so fast was sweet, and impressive she was able to calm herself down.

A little worrying we might be dealing with a Slaaneshi cult, but hey, at least its not our people at risk.

Personally want to do retinue to get Roland on team, since still think we would benefit a lot from him being with us when we go into temple.
 
we should be conserving strength for when the time comes. More bombs are all well and good, but this would mean that Hultressa is wearing herself out when she needs to be at full strength. Retinue might be a close second good option since this is just her going around talking and trading on deals to get more beings in her retinue, so it'd be either conserving strength or Retinue. Bombs is straight out since this would burn her energy wastefully. something that hasn't as far as I know been pointed out is that other groups might be planning on setting their own traps like their own kind of bombs or some such to wreak havoc.

[X] Pyramid - The more bombs, the more confusion amongst the overseers, the more manipulation, the greater the effect when the trigger is finally pulled. The greater the effect, the worse of Alyssa's position on the Ark will be, and the worse the food crisis would become. Hultressa will already be spending time with this, and has done so already, but the more she does, the better the end result - or worse, if you are Alyssa Voidreaper. The kind of destruction that could occur if properly focused upon could be quite effective if triggered at the right time, even if it is just to force Alyssa to send away some of her strength at the Auction to investigate.

We need to trigger those fault-lines amongst the cults, the more explosives one has, the easier time we can use to steer the ensuing blame at the ones most capable of restoring order and destroying them seems like a good use of getting more bombs to me. Besides that, are we actively trying to reveal ourselves and just start murdering Drucchi at a high stakes auction, filled with 16 powerful sorcerous of immense power, in addition to all of the other elite of the Ark deciding to show up as well? Same goes for Hul, and the fact that she getting more power would still be suboptimal should a fight break out, as she is over a thousand year old Witch of immense power and skill, that while she may be able to create some chaos, won't be realistically be able to create as much as she plants dozens of bombs rigged to blow up all over in one central location key to the Elves ability to maintain food without starving major portions of the Ark in question.

Doing so will allow Hultressa to much more strongly justify bringing in others, arming them even as her guards, and so on. Therefore, once you are at the Temple of Khaine, you will have that many more weapons and bodies at hand to aid you.
