If we split, all of our wizards and cavalry should go with Mena to the Pillar. That's around 2000 mounted imperials along with magic support.
The rest of the Unmounted Should go with Magnus to the other tribes as they should have allied forces in the area to help. If we do that that's around 175 greatswords and 290ish Knights of the Everlasting light. About 500 men plus whatever is left over from the Albish split.

If Magnus can retake the Oghams quickly enough he and the other tribes can reinforce the fight at the pillar, if that fight can even be fought.
It depends on how many Mardud lets go with his daughter to fight.

Not all, but most of fighty ones yes. We keep at least one Jade and a few of the other wizards as well since might need magical support. Most of Imperial troops for Mena of course since most are her Blue Wolves and she leads them best for the Pillar she wants to help take back.

Really? You guys are bringing up that prophecy now like it means anything? The relivent point is that the Oracle said what we were going to do wouldn't work; so anything but rallying the allied tribes and zerging their capital is good

The Jade wizards would help with operational tempo. If only to firm up the ground so we don't drown in it. We have any Idea where the Oracle and her cadre will go?

A sword that had cut down shadows before shattering apart, swallowed by the shadows that it had sought to destroy
This bit we can't split up or else we are gonna eat it. We shatter then are swallowed Staying together is what we are being warned to do

Edit: since the heirs are the trident, and it breaks and is swallowed the kids shouldn't split up

[ ] Plan Lets listen to the Gods
-- [] Remain As One: In this foreign land, you cannot afford to break apart. You can only pursue one of the following. Cohesion might suffer amongst the Albionese, however, as some clearly wish to follow Aberfa's directives.
-- [] Retake The Pillar of Og-Agog: The central meeting point of all the tribes of Albion, before the Fimir took it. It is the holy rallying point of all, kept in the scaled hands of the Fimir for many decades now. It is more heavily fortified than any Fimir castle so far, being one of the first places the Fimir took after they recovered somewhat from the battle where Boudicca fell.

The Pillar is probably one of the most important locations to the up coming ritual, so smash it then rally other tribes with evidence that we have a major victory

I'd argue given Mena's troop are lighter armored and more mobile they handle the outer stones while Magnus and Reinhardt with most but not all the wizards focus on the pillars.
Magnus has the runefang. Mena cannot get in close to the oghams with her magic items. Reinhardt also cannot get in close, without an enchanted blade like the albionese have without risking himself.

Mena and Reinhardt's aid is not as significant as Magnus's aid in Ogham reclamation. Mena and Reinhardt are the generals, whereas we are using Magnus as special ops. Mena is best placed on the Pillar where her magic items can help fight the fimir wizards. If I'm reading right, the Pillar doesn't have the magic restriction of the oghams.

I honestly read that as the Heirs attacking the Fimir City under Marduddd's Order right away without gathering up the rest of the tribes, or going for the Pillar, until the Oracle interrupt. I'm wrong, but without the Oracle interrupt the Heirs should have followed Mardudd to the other southern tribes. Or the daughter would have risked herself reclaiming the Pillar. I don't know.

As the update said the prophecy could mean a thousand and one things, or not be true at all.

If both objectives succeed that's a good thing for us. As it means more oghams reclaimed (we need more oghams reclaimed to go home, and reinforcements to take the fimir city is good), and the gathering spot of the tribes will help the Albinese to be united, or gain Giant aid, or be a sign to the Oracles in hiding. Something useful for the fimir city attack.

I'm against splitting up, I'm in favor of rushing OgAgog (which is not the capital), I laid out why I think we're in a Tzeentchian trap right now and why I think it's Tzeentch, not the Fimir, that probably is the big-bad here.

Well splitting up and flailing at too many targets was what we were warned against.

Force concentration then:

Hit the Pillar with everything we have here and pray its enough to breakthrough.

Well. This should be fun. If we rush them, then the Fimir here will have no choice but to try and catch up with us unless they want to lose Og-Agog.
They can try to retake the south but its irrelevant if they lose their big holdings north right?

And we can make the best use of our surprise! Imperial strikeforce by acting like a giant hammer on their unprepared asses.

There's no magic at the pillar therefor sending the wizards there should be fine and Mena should be able to use her gauntlet. If it's heavily fortified then she'll need Reinhardt for backup. I say send Mena and Reinhardt north with the Killy wizards and Boris and have Magnus assault the Oghams while backed up with Carlotta.

What's the land around the pillar like again? I assume it's a plains or highland??

Dug up the rest of the prophecy, what there is of it; the last two lines both got cut off partway through in the original post.
"Three Spikes. Three Prongs. Three Fists. Horns and steel and curled."
"Some steel must go. Some steel must stay. Else stone and stone will break.
Wood may rot, but death may spring anew. The Heart will call. The Bull should answer.
Dark wood drinking deep from fire-blood and-,"
"Five by five by five by five by five-,
This all seems very apropos of our current dilemma. "Some steel must go. Some steel must stay. Else stone and stone will break." This suggests that we need to split up here. Which IMO matches the tactical/strategic realities of the matter. We need to slow the flow of filled Dhar Spheres to the Fimir, and we need to rally the southern tribes. BUT, our time to operate while the Fimir are only acting reactively is on a timer and that timer's been ticking for a while already. If the Fimir rally their forces while we're still contained in the south, it will be all the Fimir against half (maybe) of the Albionese. Not good. While if we break through into the north to rally the tribes, but the Fimir get enough of these Dhar Spheres to pull off whatever magical bullshit they're planning, and we don't even have all the southern tribes ready to go, that's not good either. We need to address both of these issues, and while it sets my teeth on edge to say it, we need to split up to have a hope to do it. This is clearly a prophecy-laden moment, and the prophecy we got before seems to support that as well IMO.

Now, as far as who should go where, I can't help but note that the Pillar of Og-Agog is the central point of Albion, and a major cultural landmark and touchstone as well. You see what I'm getting at? I think it's the Heart in the prophecy. Which means the Screaming Bull (Magnus) should go to Og-Agog. The Heart calls, and the Bull should answer. And if the southern tribes (one of them anyway) are in the woods, then I'd prefer to have Mena go north as well, because I'd prefer not to let any dark wood drink deep from our fire-blood here.

Edit:

No, I don't think it was. The warning was that if we keep just striking at the shadows, they'll swallow us up and shatter us. I think that's a reference to the fact that I alluded to earlier - eventually, the Fimir are going to stop being reactive, and when that happens if we don't have our ducks lined up we'll be in a very tight spot. If we keep just attacking the Fimir (the shadows) without a bigger campaign plan (flailing), they will swallow us up and break us when they rally and hit us with a coordinated response, which is only a matter of time in coming.

We can do the smart choice or we can reference a morwen prophecy until the end of time for any situation where three comes up. Goddess really likes her irony

Got to give you credit for the old Prophecy, but that i felt specifically fit The wood elves, with the rotting wood, and death being rebirth (orion?) then the bull (freddie) answered the call the the heart of the oak of ages and saved everything there.

She had seen a sword with three blades and one hilt. One sword had been made of fire, another made of a metal she had not seen before that was not iron, and the other one of horn. All joined in a hilt soaked in blood and water. A sword that had cut down shadows before shattering apart, swallowed by the shadows that it had sought to destroy.
So this is the more relevant prophecy here. The question is basically, should we subvert the "joined at the hilt" part by splitting the group, or is there something else we need to do here to stop us being swallowed by the darkness

Edit: or is it warning against splitting apart through saying that the sword was shattered and swallowed by the darkness it fought

I'm actually talking about the new prophecy in the part you're quoting there. And as I said before, I think my prophecy interpretation is strongly supported by the physical tactical realities of our current situation as well. I've put together an edited-down and selectively bolded version of the salient section of the update to try to make what I'm seeing clearer.
The Oracles name, it turned out, was Greimne. And she had come out of hiding because her visions said that she needed to. After everyone had resettled somewhat uncomfortably into the castle, she had explained to Mardudd, who had in turn explained to them, that she her visions had wracked her for days.

[...]

"Well," Magnus said as he turned back to Mardudd. "Now we're definitely not going to let the Fimir stop us from getting home. What," he glanced pointedly at the Oracle, "Precisely needs to be done to make that happen?"

Mardudd grunted and rubbed at his chin again.

"Need to retake Oghams, eh? Definitely. Let them keep, let them store more magic, bad. But...," he glanced at the Oracle, who glared back. "She says need to bring tribes together. Break the line, north and south come back, eh?

[...]

"It's a fine thing to say 'reunite the tribes', but it can't possible be so easy," Reinhardt mused. "And I still don't see what we have to do with it."

"The three-headed sword," Mardudd interlaced his fingers, "It flails, it cuts, and is swallowed. It does not strike what it should, is what the Oracle says."

[...]

"What do you two think?" Magnus turned to his friends, trying to ignore the impending schism for a moment. "If retaking the Oghams in this tribe's territory didn't work...,"

"It might if we help the other two tribes. They said the Nudd still controlled most of theirs, though. The Matholwyr apparently have a lot of chariots to contribute as well," Reinhardt said. "Maybe if we can just...affect the mists here, in the south? Enough to get ships out?"

"But if we retake this...Pillar of theirs, we might be able to rally more than just two battered tribes that have been up close and personal with the Fimir city," Mena argued back. "Who knows what other tribes are up there, cut off because the Fimir control the center and the flanks."

"Either way, I think Aberfa might be right. We've been here less than a week, sure, but I have to assume the Fimir are going to notice sooner rather than later that some of their Clans, or Dirachs at least, aren't reporting in," Magnus said while he rubbed his temples.
There are two things that need to happen. We need to retake Oghams, and we need to reunite the tribes. The prophecy we're getting right now is that if we follow the wrong plan of attack, the evil that we're fighting will swallow us up. This is matched by the tactical assessment we're getting. The Albionese are outnumbered and split up. Right now we're having a string of victories (cutting down shadows, as it were) because we're an unexpected addition to the force the Albionese can bring to bear, but as Magnus notes our run of being the unexpected element in battles will be ending sooner rather than later. At that point it will be the combined might of the Fimir, who have never been split up, against whatever we have. If we haven't reunited the tribes at that point, then that is the point at which we will lose and die because it will be a small fragment of our possible total force against their full force. The shadows will swallow us up.

Of course, as Boudicca so tragically found, having the tribes united may not be quite enough if the Fimir get to do their big evil magic ritual. The shadows swallowed her up, then. And retaking the Oghams is necessary for slowing their progress on that to buy us the time needed to defeat them militarily without getting fucked over by giant ritual chaos sorcery, plus strengthening the druids which is great.

We need both things to happen, and we don't have the time to go and do them each in sequence, because our enemy will not afford us that luxury. The way to think about this is that we have time for probably one (1) more "round" of this campaign before things come to a head one way or another, as the Fimir get their shit together militarily and magically to put down the upstarts. And there are two (2) things we need to make happen before that climactic fight in order to give us a shot on the military front (reunite the tribes) and the magical front (reclaim the Oghams). To accomplish two things in one "round" we need to split up.

Alright so, yeah looking at the oracle's prophesy fully again, I think we need to split up, the question is really then, how many people do we need up north vs down south, and where do the heirs go

Hmm, results so far in this campaign:

Order:
Deaths
40 Albion Nobles (Half-Plate, Claymores, Axes)
100 Albion Light Cavalry (Javelins, Spears, Axes, Chainmail/Leathers)
140 Albion Heavy Infantry (Halberds, Spears, Swords, Axes, Half/Quarter-Plate)

150 Blue Wolves, Lightly Armored Cavalry/Skirmishers (Melee Equipment Varies Heavily. All Possess Shortbows, 500 Possess Crossbows) [200 Without Mount]
25 Ostland Greatswords
2 Knights of the Everlasting Light

Gains:
4 Atlikin Druids
1 Oracle
?? Maidenguard contingent

Destro:
Loss of 4 Ogham circles and attached guard forces (high hundreds to ~1 thousand common Fimir*, ~1-200 Fimm Warriors*)
At least 8 Dirach spell casters.

Gains:
Growing awareness of organized resistance.

Summary:
TFW the enemy forces made up of Ogre sized foes has taken more casualties than the oddball adhoc alliance of 1 Albion Tribe and some Imperial specialist formations.

*Estimate based off assuming 2-300 guards at each circle.

Alright so, yeah looking at the oracle's prophesy fully again, I think we need to split up, the question is really then, how many people do we need up north vs down south, and where do the heirs go
The previous prophecy pertaining more to Freddy as the Bull is probably a fair cop, so I won't push too hard for sending Magnus north. I liked the looks of this force allocation from Massgamer:
[] Plan Divide and Conquer, Play to Strengths
-[] Split Up The Imperial Force: It may be time to split the forces present. This would allow you to pursue two targets at once. This will likely end up splitting the Albionese force as well.
--[] Retake The Pillar of Og-Agog: The central meeting point of all the tribes of Albion, before the Fimir took it. It is the holy rallying point of all, kept in the scaled hands of the Fimir for many decades now. It is more heavily fortified than any Fimir castle so far, being one of the first places the Fimir took after they recovered somewhat from the battle where Boudicca fell. (If Forces Split, Write-In Forces Allotted To This Course)
----[] Mena von Kessel, the Blue Wolf, Heir of Nordland, wielding enchanted items Flammenfaust (Gauntlet) and Flammenwulf (Axe)
3 Amber Journeymen
1 Jade Magister Carlotta
1 Bright Magister Casparan Smokewrought
1 Bright Journeyman Helmut Cinderblade
1 Bright Journeyman Jovi Grabner
1550 Blue Wolves, Lightly Armored Cavalry/Skirmishers (Melee Equipment Varies Heavily. All Possess Shortbows, 250 Possess Crossbows) [All Mounted]
100 Knights of the Everlasting Light [Mounted]
--[] Aid The Matholwyr And Nudd: The other two southernmost tribes of Albion. Aiding them could add more troops to those that are currently being commanded, for better and for worse. They too have Oghams that have been taken by the Fimir, and reclaiming them could surely only aid the Druids, while also cutting off some of these...Spheres of Darkness from reaching Caerniwlatgas. (If Forces Split, Write-In Forces Alloted To This Course)
---[] Magnus Redfist, the Screaming Bull, Heir of Ostland, wielding Runefang Brain Wounder
Reinhardt Hertwig, the Silver Manticore, Heir of Ostermark, wielding standard issue Imperial Zweihander
Amber Magister Alric and 2 Amber Jounerymen
1 Jade Journeyman Boris
1 Bright Journeyman Henry
1 Bright Journeyman Nicolas
1 Bright Journeyman Luthor Feuerstag
300 Blue Wolves, Lightly Armored Cavalry/Skirmishers (Melee Equipment Varies Heavily. All Possess Shortbows, 250 Possess Crossbows) [100 Mounted and 200 Unmounted]
175 Ostland Greatswords
398 Knights of the Everlasting Light [Unmounted]

Though I'd argue for swapping Magister Carlotta and Journeyman Boris between the two forces. The Jades are noted as acclimating to the magical turbulence caused by the Oghams better than our other wizards, so whoever goes after reclaiming more Oghams should take the strongest Jade with them in order to best benefit from that. But obviously we don't want to leave one of our forces with no Jade at all, hence the swap.
