Succession seems to be eldest by default, especially when nobody wants an extended regency(if they wait for the triplets they need 15 years before they are old enough, the girls would be ready in less than a decade)

I think it's a good attitude we have here, acting as if he's already dead. If he is, then we can plan for it, and if it isn't we get to act all amazed and impressed with him.
How did you know I what I was going to post.:o I mean your post appeared right as my post was posted. How did you type so quickly? Or do I type slowly because of the fact that I had started typing this before Theunderbolt post was posted?

It's not resistance. We're just too sloshed to pay attention to the ambient morale damage.

Think of it as a morale booster that counters the PASSIVE morale hurt.

People blessed the cannons without having an indication beforehand that it would help. If that works, why not turn alcohol into holy water?

It's a quest, it might have mechanical benefit, the cost of finding out is negligible don't overthink it.

We got word of god on the matter during the Gruber fight where the EXACT same thing was claimed.

The only sort of Omake I could think of is some sort of 'The people of Nuln' or 'The Empire' sort of thing. Like the Empire held its breath as Magnus was escorted to Nuln, wounded but alive, hope almost dashed, and yet he lives...

[X] Reaching Consequences: Unleashing true death upon a Greater Daemon is an incredible thing. It took Teclis months to prepare this ritual specifically, though you have little doubt that he has had centuries to prepare such a thing in general. If it breaks out, or dissipates, it will someday return to ravage the mortal realm. But you are close enough to slay it. Others are caught up in the still battle-eager greenskins and what remains of Thorgar's forces. The latter will die soon enough without their daemonic support, but the former is still going strong. Accept the best shield that can be crafted around you, and kill this thing. Magnus yet lives. The Empire is in good hands.

For My People!

[CANON] Lament - Sage_Of_Eyes
Lament

Powder and shot rang out, steel and flesh meeting again and again. The bellow of ogres, the resounding call of cannons and the yelling of officers rallying troops again and again, echoed throughout the battlefield. Sorcery spilled forth from the mouths of arcane masters, prayers left the lips of clerics and priests, hoarse cries came forth from throats of orcs, and warriors of Khorne laughed as they were slaughtering and slaughtered in turn.

Throughout it all, words escaped the lips of a single man that were unlike any and all that were being uttered.

The words that escaped his lips were not of a prayer. Not a call to gods high above to strike down foes or bring the gift of miracles to men. The veneration of gods inherent in prayer, however, was still present in the words. Any who heard the man's words, would most certainly say that many prayers would be found lacking in comparison to what he uttered.

The noise that escaped his throat was not oaths of vengeance. Not a scream, nor a yell for retribution and justice against the enemies of man. No smoldering rage entered his heart, grasped his maw, and forced it to speak in anger and wrath. Yet, no one can deny that within his words was the most fantastic passion, a most virtuous drive that matched the zeal, madness of any Khorne's champions.

What breath escaped his mouth was not in the form of a roar. Not an echoing bellow of power similar to that of ogre and orc. What escaped his lips was not a call of challenge to prove one's innate might, as the latter did, or a manner of attracting the most deadly of foes to shield their fellows as former attempted. Still, the murmurs of words inspired those around him and urged them onward and back. Inspiration was readily found in his whispers.

The man spoke despite the wounds upon his frame, despite the urging of those already attending to him. Men had been made to restrain him, but no man could bring themselves to silence him. Those that attempted to only met his eyes once, before stepping back with their heads bowed.

Though he needed to be silent for his own sake, so that some of the pain suffusing him would cease, and was relentlessly, tearfully entreated to do so, he did not stop speaking.

He had been unable to do as his station required, and all present renounced his claim. He had fallen after defeating a Demon Prince, no one denounced him for it. The title he held and the powers he was vested had been wasted in his hands, all present stated otherwise.

The man's name was Magnus Bildhofen, and he entreated all who may listen to forgive him for being lacking and being hidden away as others fought in his stead.

As his consciousness finally faded, a single prayer to Sigmar left his lips.

Sigmar's favored follower could have asked for a peaceful rest, yet instead he asked his most beloved patron to aid those he had left behind.

(A Little Help from Sigmar?)

The cannons or the Holy Ostka?

Because seriously, if any deity can bless food and drink it's Esmeralda.

Also
People blessed the cannons without having an indication beforehand that it would help.

IIRC we voted to bless first and had a discussion about whether or not it would be effective afterwards when we found out that it drained the priests.

Been following this but quick question. If Sigmar helps Freddy kill this thing. Is he gonna become a full on god-brother?

Then again that shield cannot be made by Teclis or his comapnion...instead by very tired Wizards and an exhausted Aurelion...

Well.. if we die we die for a worthy cause.

Now we need an omake about Sigmar looking at Freddy and deciding that this was a man like he used to be fighting with his own strenght against an enemy he would have no chance against normally and after Magnus asking decides to give that man some help.

I got some questions about wizards.

What makes a human be a wizard?

Is being able to harness the power of the Winds of Magic a mutation?

Can someone get magic powers if they are exposed to mutation inducing stuff and has extremely lucky rolls on the mutation table.

I also think that there are some stories/shorts where prolonged exposure to warpstone also led to the development of (latent) magical abilities.- though I am not sure if I don´t mix fanon/rpgs with the true/stated Canon.

[QUOTE="torroar, post: 2820072, member: 328"..... your arm has been extremely ripped out of its socket, and that a third of the screaming is the Bloodthirster, a third of it is Urgdug, and the other third is your arm's pain signals. Then you are on the ground, and slapped in the face by a piece of Bloodthirster intestines, your final curve having dipped wide enough to have partially disemboweled the daemon.

(Earthblood 4/6, Throne In Play
)[/QUOTE]

Anyone an idea what this is? Something to do with the Jade wizards or Waagh energy(the whole green bits thematic seems a bit suspicious to me) would be me guess but i never really heard of something like that.

Never mind... it is a Lore of Life spell and the thrones is the vine thingie...

Jade magic, basically grants regeneration to the wizard's unit on a 5+(reduced to 4+ due to throne of vines).

We got lucky on that one.
