I got some questions about wizards.

What makes a human be a wizard?

Is being able to harness the power of the Winds of Magic a mutation?

Can someone get magic powers if they are exposed to mutation inducing stuff and has extremely lucky rolls on the mutation table.

Yes, this is a possible result in the RP. It's exceptionally unlikely though. I think on the big d1000 mutation table it's a .2% chance.

For reference you are more likely to mutate so that your legs disappear and get replaced by tank treads.

A pat on your shoulder reveals Urdgug, who hands you an ogre sized flask. Oh thank goodness. You drained your own far too early. You take a heavy swig, and wince at the burning. But at least the burning seems to dampen the buzzing somewhat.

We need to find a way to bless the stuff somehow, if normal Ostka can give minor resistance to the warp imagine what Holy Ostka would do...

Also:
[X] Reaching Consequences: Unleashing true death upon a Greater Daemon is an incredible thing. It took Teclis months to prepare this ritual specifically, though you have little doubt that he has had centuries to prepare such a thing in general. If it breaks out, or dissipates, it will someday return to ravage the mortal realm. But you are close enough to slay it. Others are caught up in the still battle-eager greenskins and what remains of Thorgar's forces. The latter will die soon enough without their daemonic support, but the former is still going strong. Accept the best shield that can be crafted around you, and kill this thing. Magnus yet lives. The Empire is in good hands. Then again that shield cannot be made by Teclis or his comapnion...instead by very tired Wizards and an exhausted Aurelion...

Also, if we die, I vote we play as Natasa in Regent Quest.

Rather than spending ten years or whatnot having our character 'grow up.' I mean, we have an awesome character who is going to be regent if we bite it here, why not let her try her hand at ruling...is it because you think her sister would do better than her?! :(

Maybe a three-person regency council? Urgdug, Natasa, and some stuffy nobody that they'll maneuver out of the way that represents 'the nobles'?

/jk, since I'm apparently inscrutable and super-serious.

Changing the vote since at least this is a nice sentiment to (possibly) start off a new chapter of the journey if we kick it.

I really hope Urdgug is not going to pull a Heroic Sacrifice. :(( But he told us about his retirement plans... noooooo!
So, Regent quest after this? Succession = male primogeniture?

I think it's a good attitude we have here, acting as if he's already dead. If he is, then we can plan for it, and if it isn't we get to act all amazed and impressed with him.
