As far as non-affiliates go, I would like to try for the Uaquuo, the Dobetia, and the Alupii in order to continue resolving their Distant Stars tags and allowing the FDS to get to work. This would also be beneficial for long-term Cardassian containment purposes.

They'll get an auto push that will get them over the line by year's end.

The Felis need work on their FDS tag ASAP. Especially with them being one of the primary proxy battlegrounds between the Federation and the Harmony.

Does anyone think there is value in rolling for a higher budget? Is that just more SR and BR, or do we get additional pp/crew income as well? It would make sense that the Council may be more willing to open their checkbooks in times such as this.
 
The obvious Gaeni mad science solution is to build the terrifying Gaeni moon cannon and the Gaeni Singer trap starbase in the same system, and then use the moon cannon to BOOM-HEADSHOT the starbase if things start going horribly wrong.

Of course, the risk is then that the Singer will decide to seize control of the moon cannon itself. :p

Last time we managed a successful budget increase, we gained higher BR/SR income, but there was additional legislation attached. I don't recall any other benefits, and it's not guaranteed to give us useful results.

Swapped SR mining colony for BR, because we have such a BR/SR income that we literally can't design ships that match or exceed it if we wanted to (without outright waste), outside of possibly modern light cruisers. We have a massive SR surplus coming.

Changed Ops Task Group to Defense. We are losing there while winning with our ships, so strengthening our offense there does not seem wise.

GBZ Convoy Stations for Rimward Outposts. Our hold on that area really needs some reinforcements, its really new and it's a dangerous space.

Swapped Listening Posts (which are crappier Intel Gathering, as they are more expensive and less versatile with locked targets, much less Intel Command) for more diplopushes and FDS missions. Could buy one for the remaining 20pp, but they aren't good and it's better to have some PPs in reserve.

Edit: Swappne one BR colony to a better one just edited in by SWB, which costs a bit more PP.

Edit2: Inspired by Sunrises plan below, swapped more diplopushes and FDS mission for +3 Intel Points because Intrigue crisis underway.

Edit3: Swapped one Task Group and Eng Team for Research, changed Ops TG for Tactical. This is because of I learned on Discord that Eng and Colony ships don't need line berths, this is just an option to build extra if aux berths don't produce them fast enough for us. And we have some pairs soon to launch.

The changes are as follows:
2 more BR colonies Sarcissa Belt and Greenlight II-A, in the new shipbuilder ships will cost more BR vs SR compared to the older designs.
Sarcissa Belt is also close to Bajor and a good place for an outpost to support a fighting in the area.
Diplopushes are targed to get new affiliates for the ataami and Bolians and to help fight the diplomatic fight for control with the push on the Morshadd Commune.

instead of the engineering ships and the Explorer Corps Annex the intel budget is expanded under control of the vice admiral
We are short on ep this year as we started construction for our allies during the mini snakepit and are working on a second UP.
Next year those teams will be available again and any new ships will not start construction till the next shipbuilding vote next year so UP2 will be close to completion before the new engineering ships are completed.
