@OneirosTheWriter, Ked Paddah and Laio are considered as affiliates now (for their affiliate crew bonus at least), and Ked Paddah at least were shown in a 2315 Q3 MWCO update. Is there a particular reason they're not being shown in this 2316 MWCO report?

Laio have only just been added to the roster and don't really have enough fleshed out to add them to the formal MWCO. Both should start appearing next year.

Keeping all those posts up to date by the QM is a lot of time, that he does not always have. Assume all info pages are potentially out of date.
Put this way.

We're already distributing a lot of the workload. Nix handles maps, Briefvoice handles shipbuilding and shipyards. Lbmaian does a lot of resource/income tracking and auditing. UbeOne was keeping up a big index post of ship stats at the front of the Ship Design thread but it's pretty far out of date. I'll have more free time shortly; maybe I could start putting together something, but I don't know where I'd put it that would be easily accessed...

I'm already tracking all our enemy berths and designs on my Intel post. Admittedly not quite complete yet but I've been working on it. Adding our own berths and links to all the various spreadsheets wouldn't be too arduous.

We're all one big happy family :V

Seriously, it is a bit of a hassle to keep track of all the info posts and spreadsheets - I ended up just bookmarking/starring them, and people end up posting relevant tidbits and summaries as warranted. Maps and shipbuild planning screenshots just tend to be the most visualizable of this all.

And I've got the people/planets/ships database.

Sooo

Nix: Rear Admiral, Starfleet Explorer Corp
Briefvoice: Vice Admiral, Starfleet Shipyard Operations
UbeOne: Vice Admiral, Starfleet Ship Design Bureau
anon_user: Rear Admiral, Starfleet Personnel
SWB: Vice Admiral, Starfleet Intelligence

Just need someone for Operations, Academy, and Tactical, and you've got the all the major administrative positions filled.

Nix does double duty as our research guy. The research vote would literally not function without him.

If Nix got banned or something, Oneiros would probably have to completely reinvent the research system so that mere mortals could keep track of it.

Aight, I did some revisions to my list:

Oneiros: Commander, Starfleet
Nix: Rear Admiral, Starfleet Explorer Corp/Supreme High Technocrat, Illuminated Technocracy of Gaen
Briefvoice: Vice Admiral, Starfleet Shipyard Operations
UbeOne: Vice Admiral, Starfleet Ship Design Bureau
anon_user: Rear Admiral, Starfleet Personnel
SWB: Vice Admiral, Starfleet Intelligence

Like, I've spent enough time working the ship design sheet that I've had to learn research out of necessity. I couldn't tell you the odds or times on boosts or anything unless they were blindingly obvious, but I might maybe be able to sketch out a research plan with an hour or two of work.

Nix does that every in-game year, complete with probabilities. I can only assume he has a spreadsheet or program to crunch the numbers for him because while doing the research teams by hand is possible, the inspiration bonus would be way too much work if it's not automatically calculated.

Yeah, Nix has an arcanotech script for this: GitHub - nixanten/tbg-tech - dunno how up to date it is

Which Character are you?

Nix: Eaton (Mapping), and also Eaton (SDB)
Briefvoice's: Chen (SYO), and also Chen (Actual ops)
SWB: Whoever is in charge of the UP design team
UbeOne: Chief of Staff, SDB
Ibmaian: The crack programmer that single-handedly redesigned all of the SDB software. All of it. Also moonlights as an accountant as part of the Admiral's staff.
Leila Hann: FBS photographer.
Anon_user: Seruk
AlphaDelta: a random SDB officer that happened to name the Kepler, now a SF Academy staffer
Akuz: Lowly Tailor on Starbase One
Simon_Jester: someone in the SDB Think Tank. Lathriss?
Iron Wolf: Aaron Wolfe

I ran out of named characters that I remembered quickly.

I hardly ever show up on SDB, and my doctrinal opinions are so unorthodox that I'm not sure I fit as one of the people actually responsible for spearheading Starfleet's doctrinal research, but thanks. :D

Which Character are you?

Like I said, an unpaid intern ... except since this is Starfleet, everyone is technically unpaid, and interns would be called cadets. Hrm.

Well, everyone who might be vicariously playing a character has apparently written an omake, and I'm no omake writer (don't ask, cringe galore), so I'd be one of those extras in the background.

Aw, shucks. I can work you in somehow. I've got a couple of Leslie stories involving the Ambassador project, you could fit in there? PM me if you're interested.

...

The closest thing I've got to a self-insert is Peter Woodruff, formerly of the Enterprise. He's not really me, but he does mouthpiece a few of my opinions and shares some of my personality defects.

Thanks, but no thanks. I may be an active participant, but I have a guiltily large backlog of omakes I have yet to read, so I'd feel real bad about missing a mention (and don't feel I'd deserve a mention anyway)

You have so many original characters that I couldn't tell who your character would be, but comment-wise, you sure seem to like Eddie Leslie and the [spirit of] Enterprise a lot :p

Since I do the deployment/ship registry spreadsheet... I'm probably some newbie comms officer in Ops that spends most of her time relaying orders to captains in the field and handling paperwork from SYO >.>

2. Build listening posts on the Lecarre border.
Again, we already have listening posts there. This is what it looks like with the listening post layer (which is currently hidden by request on the normal maps due to incomplete information):

This was the main thing the original map update was based on:
Captain's Log, USS S'harien, Stardate 24384.6 - Captain Saavik

As a part of our sweep of the Ferasan sector border space, we have been instructed by Commodore ka'Sharren to run the physical inspections of the listening posts and crews to ensure they have not been compromised. There are a total of twelve sites, scattered in a 4x4x1 block of sub-sectors, used to provide early warning and tracking, each with a small crew.

We could spend pp to deploy advanced listening posts (these predate that tech) and that should have some benefits in this regard, but it doesn't need to be especially high priority, nor is there any reason to assume we are currently especially vulnerable to an approach from that direction, even in comparison to a Frontier that has a Starbase right at the border, but lacks forward listening posts. A Starbase at Risa once they join would be very useful to have though.

I'm doing starship veterancy/specials listing.

I mean I'm sure there's an up-to-date public index somewhere but ...
