Having looked at the Thunderchild's diagram, with the large saucer option, we're going to be most of the way to its total size with just the primary hull. Whatever we make this ship, it's gonna be a lovely, stately chonker of a vessel.

[X] 0: Small Saucer (200,000 Tons)

Go big.
We're going to need the volume.

Also Please can we get 4 Nacelles on this

Bette prototype the new hull composite now rather than later.

Look. The Federation will be much better off if it follows a few key principles. Never design a Galaxy class (kids and combat never mix), never designs a Constellation (ugly), and don't keep ships in service for nearly a century (Miranda & Excelsior)

I mean with the Excelsior the Actually Modernised ones like the one we see in DS9 Homefront actually were a big threat to modern craft.
Also the Excelsior stayed in service for that long because it was a good hull that was easy to modernise in general.

Never design a Galaxy class (kids and combat never mix),
To be fair, the Galaxy class was designed in a time of peace and the idea of "Hey, let's see about not separating families for over half a decade at a time?" And they were refitted to be decent enough warfighting platforms when needed.

never designs a Constellation (ugly)
...No accounting for personal tastes, I guess?

on't keep ships in service for nearly a century (Miranda & Excelsior)
Then we've already failed this criterion of yours. *looks pointedly at our previous project* The Miranda and Excelsior designs were freaking amazing and took a looooooooooooooong time to be fully outclassed,

[X] 1: Tritanium Alloy Hull Plating (Standard)

I'm okay with using either of these for armor.
