Thought about pointing out that KanColle hadn't even been made in 2011, but as it was a reaction to a brief segment, it was lost in the rest of the chapter.
 
Another strange story idea from Kryslin:

04 Jan 2011 goes the same as usual for Taylors across the multiverse: assaulted by the Trio, thrown in locker with a biohazard, left to rot.

We all know the drill, complete with the trigger event. Sure, Taylor & QA get together, but both make contact with something else; a spirit of possibility, of hope, courage, and the will to get the damn job done at whatever cost.

Everyone in Winslow High School knows something bad has happened as a full sized (60' / 18m tall, 43 metric tons mass) RX-0 Gundam Unicorn variant erupts from the center of the school. Fortunately, it's proceeded by a lot of shaking, rumbling, and the sounds of distressed substandard construction materials, so most will be able to get out. It then promptly disappears, letting the investigation begin on what just happened.

Worm x Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn (plus a few bits from other series). Taylor Triggers as a Gundam, with the ability to build more and remotely control them. (Changer/Tinker/Master). Gundam Pilots know very well the meaning of the word 'Escalation'. Taylor embodies the concept.
 
Nah, fam, if there's one Gundam that embodies escalation, it's the XG00-0000 Wing Gundam Zero.

The Twin Buster Rifle is the perfect counter to the EBs, considering it can one-shot a whole space colony. And with the Zero System, Taylor can add Thinker to the list of powers.

Plus, it gives her an excuse to tell the Trio, "If you come after me again, I'll kill you."
 
Besides, the Unicorn would kind of require a Brute rating just to survive piloting it.

Without a special flight suit, the acceleration would be fatal when it enters Destroy Mode.
 
Or she suddenly has an Armored Core garage which only she and those she authorize can use. One with every single weapon and part (pick which game to pull from) available in enough quantity to outfit a battle group of 3 or 4 people. Yes, including the weights. Trust me, using weights to balance your AC is important. It can turn a AC from one that's clumsy due to being over balanced into one that can practically dance if you spend enough time fiddling with weight placement. And yes, even 2 Armored Cores is overkill. Hell, ONE armored core is overkill.
 
Full Escalation or Maximum HALPING! requires either the GP02 (Nukes Ho!) or the Turn A (Fuck you high technology back to the Stone Age we go)
 
Unicorn would be fun, though personally I would prefer the Kshatriya or Banshee. Also would this Taylor end up like the Mobile Suit Girls for a middle form, or just go from human to full size mobile suit?

Just be careful if you pull from the AC4 duology. Primal Armor causes radiation like nothing else, and it wouldn't do for Taylor to accidentally pull a Behemoth on Brockton.

I'd love to see this. Better yet, I have no knowledge of Gundam at all, so can just sit back and enjoy the ride. Did you anticipate the storm of "do this instead, with this Gundam!" messages when you posted this, Kryslin?
 
For some strange reason my mind went from "Gundam Unicorn" to "Get off the Unicorn".
Taylor becomes a Telepath, a Telekinetic, Clairvoyant and a Tinker who can make any/all of the tech in any of Anne McCaffery's novels.

You could add a further level of BS by having her be able to summon any and all of the Pernese Dragons. Can you imagine Lung staring down both Ramoth And Mnementh????? Talk about a brown trousers moment, even IF you're a rage dragon yourself. Of course, that alone would be an utterly obnoxiously Bullshit power in and of itself. Has anyone ever done anything like it?

Speaking of summons, I know there's a (long unfinished) fanfic where Taylor basically becomes a copy of Rydia from FF4 but does anyone know if there's any other decent FF crossovers where Taylor gets an interesting powerset?

I expected something of the sort, yes. I'm typically a UC fan, so that's what I'm mostly familiar with. But yes, it's Taylor as a Gundam, she can build more, she does have a half-way form that is still ridiculously lethal - forget the guns and beam sabers, her punching a non-brute would be messy.

Seriously, if I wanted over the top / "It's over 9000!!!" mecha shenanigans, I'd go Old School, Taylor gets to play with a Jagd Mirage w/ Buster Carriage, and has Lachesis for her Fatima (from Five Star Stories). This is where Behemoth pops up, goes "Nope!" and doesn't get a chance to get out of the way before a pair of space-time disrupting blasts hit him. Or, for something less extreme, A Bang Doll and Shizu for her Fatima. Leviathan would get sliced up fairly quickly there.

And the bullying would disappear rather quickly, because Lachesis or Shizu have no fucks to give when their partners are involved.
