A note on Llolth: She's not just crazy chaotic evil, she's the spiteful ex-wife of the worst caricature stereotype hillbilly macho asshole you can imagine, who expected her to be a submissive breeding machine a la The Handmaid's Tale, and who was the judge in the divorce.
Which of them was the judge, him or her?

How many supernatural beings?
When in doubt, the answer is always "Yes".
Yields false positives on those who've seen Ghostbusters (1984).

While Lolth is evil, didn't she use turning drow into driders as a punishment, not as a way of empowerment?

Level 8 priest/esses of Lolth get tested. They fail, they get turned into a drider. Note that due to the ichors and toxins injected and the horrific changes and distortions resulting, there's no such thing as a sexy / cute / handsome drider. The humanoid torso is distorted and disfigured; male cannot be told from female.

Fun facts: 90% of all clerics of Lolth are female, but only 60% of all driders are female. So, either a vastly higher percentage of females pass the test or a higher percentage of males survive the failure. Take your pick. (Yes, Lolth is likely sexist. You gonna call her on it? Didn't think so.)

It's like people forget that Lolth set up the drow in an oppressive matriarchy.
You are mixing sexist up misogynist. Sexism refers to the belief that one gender is superior to the other (fun fact, that's Bullshit either way).

Misogyny refers to believing women are inferior, but the Drow society tends towards being Misandrist.

I didn't think I needed to explicitly lay out that drow society is misandrist when pointing out that it's an oppressive matriarchy to convey why Lolth is definitely sexist, but I appreciate your attempt to explain my own point to me for the sake of anyone who didn't pick up the subtext.

:(

Subtext is hard for people on the autism spectrum to understand, and a lot of people mix up Sexism with misogyny. I didn't realize I was preaching to the choir. Sorry.

..... You know, even though I once felt having a Wand of Wonder, or any derivatives of the same, show up would count as an epic Bad Idea, I now have a reason to want to see one in this story. Specifically because I think it would be cosmic justice if Dinah were to use one to drop a Storm Giant's Boot on Lolth. Repeatedly. Any chance we might be able to see the pleasant sight of the Spider Bitch get squished? Yes, I know such a boot will not be able to kill Lolth, but Damn that would be fun to see......

(Why yes, I DO still hate Spider Bitch with the Fury of a Thousand Exploding Suns. You can blame my one time arachnophobic DM who made her the main character of a horror/slasher campaign where she spent weeks stalking, torturing, killing, raising, and torturing us some more, mostly so said DM could portray her the way he personally viewed Spiders in general......)

Can we have a link? This sounds like it could be interesting......
Links or it didn't happen.

Well, since everybody's asking...

Well considering Lolth is running on the "An Enemy of my Enemy is my Friend" logic, it isn't that unbelievable that Tamamo no Mae would as well.

Maxim 29: The Enemy of My Enemy is My Enemies Enemy. No More, No Less.
Instead Taylor hijacks Lolth's plan to become a greater deity (Silence of Lolth). You know the time when shw withdrew from everything, birthed/made a ton of broodlings (each with a bit of her divine essence) that all fought to find the strongest ones. The strongest ones consumed a chosen one (a drow priestess) and used her as the template for Lolth's new form. Of course at that point they would consume all the defeated broodlings to regain Lolth's full might etc.

However, Taylor mentally connects to the broodling free-for-all and starts gobbling up/absorbing the dead/defeated broodlings slowly but surely becoming a demi-goddess. Now while it never got written the author indicated that Lolth definitely will still get the strongest broodling out of the lot. It's just that said strongest indivudal won't have the chance to absorb the vast majority of the defeated ones. End result Lolth and Taylor are goddesses (most likely with the same portfolios) but Lolth will be a good deal weaker.

So Taylor (Via Queen Administrator) Accidentallied Lolth's plan? Couldn't've happened to a nicer spider goddess.

Indeed. Science has shown that while there is variation between genders' brain scans, there is greater variation within genders for brain scans..

Considering the Unreformed Tamamo gave Lolth a run for her money for the title of "Most Evil Bitch", I would think so.
That depends on whether you're going by the original legend or not. Because I've read the thing, and Tamamo's actions there were genuinely ambiguous enough to suggest the possibility that she was being scapegoated as the villainess.

(Especially once you consider the insularity and xenophobic racism that have been outright cornerstones of the Japanese cultural character for more than a millennium – regardless of whether Tamamo was actually causing the Emperor's illness or not, just the act alone of being outed as nonhuman was automatically enough for everyone to condemn her.)

Factoid: while males and females as a whole hit about the same average on an IQ test, Females tend to gravitate toward a median for their gender while males have more extreme highs and lows. It's part of why you see more eccentric male geniuses (Einstein, Tesla), but why you also see far more men whose last words were "Hey Y'all, watch THIS." ;)
