"Oh." Gefjosa thinks about all rows and rows of flax she planted out back of her cottage that morning. A flop sweat break out over her forehead. "I guess I wasn't paying attention either. I... I have to go."
Who knows? Thinking flax tastes good wouldn't be the strangest thing we've seen a Norseman or Norsewoman do. And planting flax for spinning into thread later on is well worth anyone's time!

[X] [Law Proposal] Amerion Wardson proposes that the Shapecrafter Hrolfr Jurgensson be mandated to reveal/disclose in some respect, when feasible, what is or has been done to the lifeforms brought to them and where the end result/waste of such happenings have gone to.

Retracted proposal.

"I have absolutely no idea what we'd do with bloody flax so I'll leave it to the weavers, if the fruit on land is consistently poisoned then maybe we should look to the sea? The foliage underwater may have none of the poison the land does and if so neither will any fish."

After having a bit of a horrifying discussion in the discord about what the Shapecrafter may do-- I/Amerion am retracting the proposal that the Shapecrafter divulge what they are doing.

(Begrudgingly) Agmundr will also retract his support, and is seeking to make recompense for the insult he gave to Hrolfr the shapecrafter.

Oh yeah while there's a lull and no one is claiming stuff, Akali is gonna go out and claim ownership of the Jungle Plot in the first column second row right next to Grid, so she can be a buffer for surprise raids :V

(Law Proposal) Grid vs Erik Hardhead
- When hunting Great Beasts, the heart of the beast belongs to whichever hunter did the most harm to it, and will be saved for them in case of bodily death. To break this law is automatic exile.
- This is already custom, to try and enshrine it in strict law will only cause more strife in deciding who is most deserving.
I would also like to contest this as there can be extenuating circumstances, I'll be risking permanent death in our next battle with The Bird and acted as bait in the last battle to ensure that Grid had the chance to do the damage she did.

Ordstirr spending: 9 Ordstirr -> 3 PTs

A downcast rain falls upon Moli's home,
A Skald-in-training Spotlight might be. (1 PT-> Skald-in-Training 1)

Lastly, glassware he masters
Longest-kunna among the known (2 PT -> Glass Kunna to level 2)

So, in spite of my attempts to the contrary, Thorgarr apparently has not successfully claimed land yet. Given that... could I claim the uncleared jungle hills spot at I-3? It's an awful location, but at least it's near kin.

[X] Brynjar backs the following proposals:
-[X](Law Proposal) Akali Nightsong
--[X] The creation and keeping of an updated 'list' of current reported threats, so that all can be aware of the dangers lurking.
-[X](Law Proposal) Amerion Wardson
--[X] All knowledge on potentially dangerous forces or beings should be shared with every member of the community.

[X] Brynjar proposes that the distribution of contested materials such as the heart of a slain creature be handled via games of chance. In the heat of battle, trying to measure worthiness based purely on damage dealt is inexact and unreliable, and incentivizes tactics that might ruin valuable material in the name of having done more damage. Letting Fate decide ownership is fair, and the hunters can always barter with eachother afterwards.

(Basically, roll for it in the Discord)

Well... he was trying to grow food. The fact that he was growing cloth came as a bit of a surprise, but it wasn't the fault of the flax, so....

So... @mythfan12 , @CoatRackRanger I'm thinking that we'll want to work to clear out the Thorgarr and Gefjosa land chunks, but I don't think that we can manage that with just minor actions, and Thorgarr really doesn't like the idea of taking large amounts of time away from farming when the settlement is so precarious for food.

Also... do we have any idea what the effects are of land being hills vs fields? I'd assume that fields are better for farming? Thorgarr will probably want to flatten/terrace his own land eventually if so, but that should be doable over time with minors.

[][Law Proposal]: The notable farmers among us (those with a Farming skill of at least 1) will work to determine the best way to cultivate the golden grass, and work together to establish a central plot to which every household is expected to contribute labor (A Passive Action) or resources at least once every two years. (People may choose to cultivate their own plot as well). All agree to honor those who give up their exclusive rights to the grass as well as those who discover the optimal conditions for cultivation. The contribution requirements may be relaxed if an alternative means of sustaining the community is found.

I welcome suggestions here. Figuring out how to do it fairly without an economy is non-trivial.

Edit: Eurgh, apparently our only central plot is not good farmland.
