"Friend, you have undoubtedly heard that we lack good lumber. Last seasons turn I took some of our stock to build that tower, over on my brother's hill. We'll keep watch from there, to spy any threat coming to our lands. Your own lands being next to ours, and still bearing trees, I ask of you the right to harvest some lumber, to fuel our settlements needs. If any threat occurs, gods willing, we'll let you know, so that we can join forces to stand against it. What says you?"

[X] Njal Ulfson
-[X] Active: Cut down enough wood from my jungle plot for 3 Lumber while also checking for any unique resource.
-[X] Passive 1: Collecting the wood from the active to give to Hulfr and for wood stock.
-[X] Passive 2: Building a house for Gefjosa on her land.
-[X] Passive 3: Test the viability of using tree canopies to catch the majority of the freezing-boiling rain.

May I join your expedition?
Of course, anyone who wants to join is free to do so.

Can I request some of those flowers? I'm willing to trade… something? Farm work, maybe?
Yes, you can have them. In return, I just ask for a future favour.

I give you the right to do what you need. However, I want you to provide me later with a worthy sacrifice for the jungle spirits.

"Since I'm not well-versed in the matters of the spirits of this land, I would not know a worthy sacrifice. If you could tell me in clearer words what would be required of me, I could judge if I could agree to your terms. Such an open-ended bargain I would need to decline."

OOC:
I want to spend one passive to harvest one unit of lumber to give to the communal stash, nothing even remotely long term.

-[X] Passive: Peck down 1 Wood's worth of trees in your plot. Your new birdly sensibilities won't let you cut down any more than absolutely necessary. Even this many is enough to raise your hackles.
Arnleif's fylgja deposits the wood in a convenient spot with a warning to not touch any more of their beautiful trees on pain of many many pecks.

[X] Harold Logarson's Actions, Winter Year 2
-[X] Major - The Quest For Stone - At his kinsman's side, he would use Soil and spade to venture into the depths of the earth in search of Stone. His people needed Stone for many things, but this Season Harald cannot bring himself to care about any of them. In Freya's name, he will seek Stone to build a foundation for the house he promised Gods and Land and *blushes* to build for his family.
-[X] Passive 1 - Hunt an animal (Not looking for hearts or hide here, just an easy hunt and blood) and make an offering of thanks to the Gods for the bountiful harvest of both crops and *blushes*. All major gods(That a Drengr pays respect) honored, Freya and Thor are addressed the most.
-[X] Passive 2 - Survey his land for exploitable flora, ESPECIALLY a novel color of dyes so his commision with Agnes would have another option, harvesting a single piece of Wood after making a small offering to the spirits of the Land and delivering it to Moli.
-[X] Passive 3 - Assign Mushroom Man 1 to the the Tier 1 Farm plot on Ragnar's land to care for Winter Farm tasks such as he be able, plant Mushroom Man 2(Harald asks Hrolfr if they can be grown in Winter and if they can care for planting another of themselves first), and stand by at Ragnar's house to compress soil that they're excavating in The Quest for Stone for transport to Harald's land for a future project.
-[x] Passive 4 - In a small bit of dirt right against the side of Ragnar's house, Harald will plant some of the seeds Agnes gave him for yellow dye. He does not care if he has to bring it inside, or move it to other sides of the house with his Kunna, or start a fire next to it, or sleep huddled around it, or dump half of his glory into Farming Tricks each day to keep it alive through Winter: In the name of his father He Will Have Yellow Dye By Summer. (Enough for one article of clothing and its embroidery)
-[x] Passive 5 - Harald will help Moli process wood, using his Kunna as an abrasive tool to help literally sand wood by spinning sandy loam at high speeds.
-[x] Passive 6 - Harald accompanies Agnes to hunt for driftwood and protect her. As he will be on *dead(but not the good kind that brings life), still, inert, worthless* Sand he ensures to bring extra Soil in case he has to fight and to store the wood. He will bear his sax and 3 javelin, leaving his axe at home and trying his best to not be lovesick and weird for Agnes' sake. He will fail when he talks about the tunics.

Harald Afterparty 1 (OneArmedYet)
I decided to go ahead and share this with everyone but only two characters saw this ritual from a distance where Harald didn't know they were talking in the woods about him. You know if that's you. The words are between him and the Gods.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The day after the feast, as Harald was about to set forth into town, he remembered something.
A panicked prayer he had made drunkenly while looking in the faces of two women he had proposed to: One through whim and guilt, explicit and public; the other through intention and care, implicit and private.
"Remember boy, the bottle does not grant a man absolution for the words of his Voice. When you speak, whether you be sober or not, know that the Gods and the Land are always listening."
He hadn't spoken, not truly, but he would not bet the fertility of his fields that the Lady had not heard him.
Besides, he had some things he had to say to Her.
He walked the aisles of Golden Grass almost ready for harvest, finding the 3 best stalks he could, and brought them to the Eastern edge of his field, before reconsidering.
*No, premature to address the face of love. I told myself I had to accept we weren't there yet.*
He walked to the Northern edge of his field, thinking as he went.
*The Maiden of Flowers is clearly the right choice for Maiden Blomtanja...No, she's not. That's who you want her to be right now, not who she is.*
He did not look West. He was not the sort of man that gave homage to the Mistriss of Seidr, save for warding against witchcraft. He knew the right aspect as he walked South.
Soil rose up into an altar as Harald placed a small blue piece of coral and the three sheaves he had picked, one wrapped tightly around the other two, holding them together. He walked around the field, gathering cast off stalks of flax, and wove them into a wreathe, before placing them on the altar alongside a single red and gold feather that he pulled from a pouch of Soil around his neck.
"Lady Freya, thank you for showing mercy as I asked. Should your mercy continue, please grant her strength. Keep me and Njal Ulfson safe as well, though not for my sake but so that her worst fears may never come to pass again. Thank you, for sending me a second gift.
I won't fail this one"
Harald reaches out and places his hand on the figurine of the Lady, holding it in his hand as altar and offerings both disappear into the depths of the earth.
"Goodbye, Astrid Ingridsdottir, may we meet in the Halls of the Gods. All of us.
I think you'll like her"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Later that night, as he returns to Ragnarsby, he looks at a boulder and thinks of obsidian muscles.

*I trust her...but maybe an offering to the Maiden of Flowers later on this week wouldn't be the worst idea.*

Akali Nightsinger

[X] Major Actions: Survey the Jungle Hill he owns for useful materials and any landmarks of note, keep an eye out for any living creatures for livestock or hunting. (Gefjosa has offered to help but I'm welcome to anyone else rn)

[X] Passive Actions:

-[X] [1] Take the time to gather vines and help where he can for the creation of quality ropes; he'll use some to set up snare traps around his land, but any other leftover goes to the communal pile, then to crafters, fishermen or hunters.

-[X] [2] Take the time to carefully clear trees on the edge of his territory, taking just enough for a Coop and a house big enough for him and his siblings.

-[X] [3] Take a clutch of Hatching Frogs and begin raising them in a coop on the side of his home, keep an eye on their habits and behavior alone, in groups or with a mate and write down his observations.

-[X] [4] Gather with Krakr Gudrunsson to appease the Hill Spirits near your land, offer a sacrifice of blood and a song of peace to ease the tension, and also we offer to give them a sacrifice every year in exchange for good health for his lands.

-[X] [5] Take the time to comfort and hang out with the twins; two on one wrestling, teaching them where and where not to go, singing their mothers songs to sleep.

-[X] [6] Set up Rope Snares intermittently through the land, some in trees, some hidden under bushes, aiming for medium to small creatures.

-[X] [7] Though not much of an artist Akali draws a small submission of a banner for Rekavidr: A black background with grey clouds building above, crashing waves at the bottom and in the center a bright craggily mound of white on the edge of the horizon, representing the Dawn or Their new home.

-[X] [8] Gather enough leather for a small tarp to cover the area above the coop and on the connecting trees carve "Any falling water below this point will be turned aside."

-[X] [9] Visit the Seeress and ask about her progress on the items he loaned her from the Quarry, inquire about what she desires in return for them back.

Also hey @I.F. Ister since we talked about it and Sigmund gave his item, is it ok to count my items as already having been loaned to the Seeress and I can take a passive to ask what she wants in return for them?

Sure, go ahead. I'm a bit too busy right now to really properly do much at the moment, but poke me about it later in the day and I'll sort it out with you.

Joke reply: When did Akali build an Emotional Loom?

Real Reply: IF wanted passives numbered for readablity and so the default response if he doesn't say anything for that number can just be "You do so"
