Hmm, we could ask the Ducklings next time we show up to their doorstep.
When we visit them they will go to strike the Lurkalings and we can join them.Maybe. Either way, I feel should we go and speak with them once we manage to get Horra convicted, if only so that they know that the Lurkalings will no longer be getting sunlight weaponry.
We could do "a best material" and "all bonuses we can gather" round of crafting tools.Yeah, going to smash some skulls in with our dwarf-friends sounds fun. I'm greedy, too, so I can't help but wonder if we'll be able to get access to that egg-iron if we really impress them.
Uh. Not that I even know what we would craft with it. I mean, the only thing I can think of is crafting a better set of chainmail once we get Forgefire, or possibly a helmet/rune item (such as a buckle, arm-ring, bracelet,etc.).
I'm surprised we didn't put any runes on our chainmail, actually.
'The Greeks cultivated via philosophy. The Romans through duty. I know nothing other than that.'"Hey Blackhand? did you ever year somebody talking abaout the Ancient Roman Empire? or the Ancient Greeks? what do you know abaout them?"
'I don't know.'
'Elves are to the Vanir as we are to the Aesir. We are the children of the Aesir. They are the children of the Vanir.2) Have you ever met an elf, and if so, what were they like? Do you know where elves reside?
'...Yes.'
Having dwarven allies may change that, but I'd still strongly prefer doing serious preparation beforehand.
We could do "a best material" and "all bonuses we can gather" round of crafting tools.
Blackhand? Do you have half-human descendents?
'It's... not an impossibility... I also likely have a lot of wedlock children running around.'
i mean, that would make sense, what with the many mythologies having halfbreeds... and als-3) Can humans procreate with other races, and if the answer is yes, can these offspring cultivate like normal humans?'
yeah, i am not suprised. magic exist after all...
...did you forgot?
That reminds me... there are most likely Tricks, Muna(s) perhaps even hugreida that can have similar effects to the fertility charms.... or the reverse, for infertility for all the fun and none of the consequences. Perhaps shapeshifting too.'Anything like it? I had something of a rendezvous with a water-creature that could shed her skin to assume a human form. But other than that I can't recall a puppet like this.'
Eh, the egg iron is what sold to the humans, by what the smith said.... though, if we can swing that, i would like to get some water attuned iron and remake our armor with that, helmet too. (perhaps gauntlets/bracers and greaves too, once we talk with Gabriel or Jerasmus about armors....)Yeah, going to smash some skulls in with our dwarf-friends sounds fun. huh, neat.'The Greeks cultivated via philosophy. The Romans through duty. I know nothing other than that.'
I'd like to have a master piece toolset, both mechanically and for what it says about how the maker values crafting. If we have enough of said 'best material', then sure. But if not, I'd rather save it can craft some masterpieces with it before making stuff like tools.
huh, neat.
So Socrates's shitpost with the chicken was, like, one of the biggest hits?
As for Romans and duty... how did they recounciled that with bribery and assassinations of superiors and such? Was Caesar's assassination good or bad, i wonder....

Ah, Virtuous Sons, one of the major inspirations for this story. If you've enjoyed NorseQuest's funkiness, then you'll also like Virtuous Sons.

Yeah my bad, teaches me to look stuff up instead of going from memory before posting...Wasn't it Diogenes who did the shitpost with the chicken?
"A Man is a featherless biped"
Diogenes (Plucks the feathers out of a chicken, brings it to one of Plato's Lectures) "BEHOLD! A MAN!"
Plato: (Misses the point) "Correction, a man is a featherless biped with flat, broad nails"
its WoG, so it got buried in the thread, but here:Why water-attuned iron, though? From what I understand, it'd literally do nothing, so you can't exactly attack people with armour. And even then... what would it accomplish?
And we are weak to water type attacks so....Yep. Immunity to that kind of damage, for example. It is freakishly expensive, of course, but it's good. So, Forged Iron is best for Raw Numbers out of the stuff we have, but the magical stuff carries neato perks?

Blackhand killed themWhat is the publicly known reason for the Jomsvikingar suddenly losing 4 Steelfathers? did they admit they faced a very powerful warrior who managed to gank 4 of them? tell another story? (which is dangerous in this culture), refuse to elborate on their missing members?
'If you can kill a Steelfather, then it is over for them. Such is Steel. As for true death? I can't recall any techniques or methods off the top of my head. Perhaps my memory needs jogging.''Blackhand, do you know of any way to increase the chances for true death? or alternativly, do you know if all Steelfathers death are true death or can they return to life with another body?'
Or whatever cursed attribute steel has that make a body be unable to be restored and require a new one also effect the soul of Steelfathers because they bonded with it beyond merely wielding it. making their soul unrecoverable.... Ah
I get it.
Steel is stubborn and refuses to change, so if you can beat a Steelfather into Bodily Death, they can never recover from it. Because Steel's immutability works against it then.
Of course, actually killing a Steelfather requires some serious mojo given their nigh invulnerability.
