"Speaking abut it will draw calamity" is already one point of information, so could in itself invite reprisal.Mmm, we know that the Enemy really, really hates information disclosure, but we know it's not omniscient, therefore it cannot possibly notice literally every conversation that could hypothetically be referring to it.
So 'Asking leading questions and suspiciously not answering when they say the right things' should be safe enough. Because even if it could hypothetically notice any conversation that could be referring to it, extending that to 'It can notice every single thing you say and extrapolate from second order phrases and assumptions' would be taking our campaign well into the Hopeless territory, and we know that's not true.
Basically, we have to slow roll any reveal. "I genuinely want to tell you, but it's my understanding that speaking of it will draw immediate calamity that we're not equipped to deal with at this time." Then getting cheeky with aggressively not answering certain on certain topics, but being talkative on other matters.
We'd want to phrase it like "Can't speak about it. Nothing stopping you from asking me about it, though."
'It made no moves while I was beyond Norse lands. Though I suspect it has some manner of observing the going-ons in foreign places. I would not be surprised to learn that it has agents stationed in far-off lands.'Hey Blackhand,
Did The Enemy ever attack you beyond the Norse lands?
'Yes, but there was some trick to it that I can't recall. Something to do with... ownership?'
'I was twenty-four when I witnessed... I... I can't remember now, I'm sorry.'
Hmm, that shoots down most of the Fun theories about it being cross-cultural, though that then raises questions about stuff like Neanderthals (which have no special tie to the Norse IRL) and the Curse of Steel applying everywhere.'It made no moves while I was beyond Norse lands. Though I suspect it has some manner of observing the going-ons in foreign places. I would not be surprised to learn that it has agents stationed in far-off lands.'
'I don't know.'
It could be that the Enemy prefer or bound to use cultural appropriate tools against each culture.Hmm, that shoots down most of the Fun theories about it being cross-cultural, though that then raises questions about stuff like Neanderthals (which have no special tie to the Norse IRL) and the Curse of Steel applying everywhere.
For some reason I thought that Hallr came from a chain of succession of cultivators like what we are building now, just without the spirit ancestors angle. need to examine that preconception for a little.'I was twenty-four when I witnessed... I... I can't remember now, I'm sorry.'
'Unfortunately, I do not. I... I think I had a teacher, maybe. Or maybe I used a silly voice while teaching myself? I don't know.'Hey Blackhand, do you recall if anyone was able to directly advise you on cultivation? do you recall how you manage to climb so high without dying to one of the enemy traps? pure luck? wisdom from unlikely places?
The thought of Blackhand method of learning and experimenting was to use an inner mentor monologue voice only to end up a inner spirit mentor amuse me.'Unfortunately, I do not. I... I think I had a teacher, maybe. Or maybe I used a silly voice while teaching myself? I don't know.'

[X] Plan Horra's Sanctum
-[X] (Personal) Spend time with...
--[X] Gabriel
--[X] Ask if there's anything we can do to help him with his cultivation.
--[X] This is a sincere offer, but we also want to, well, talk about his cultivation and see what he says.
-[X] (Sten) Sten's been looking for you, saying that he wants to talk to you about Drifa.
-[X] (Visit) Horrby, Horra's Farm
--[X] Rather than visiting normally, you instead move to break into the sanctum
--[X] First send our fylgja using Dressed in Rags and tracking to make sure Horra is not there
--[X] Then going in person but with Dressed in Rags active and our allies relatively nearby
-[X] Notes: Giving Stigr the sword we helped make. Sending the Seeress a message via our fylgja to stick around for the Thing if she wants to see our progress on the Quest.

'Yes, but there was some trick to it that I can't recall. Something to do with... ownership?'
'I do not, unfortunately. Herbology was never my strongest skill.'"Hey, Blackhand, do you remember some interesting plants we should keep an eye out?
'I imagine that the dwarves would be able to answer that better than myself.'Also, do you know how or where we could get magic iron with water connections, like molten iron connects with fire or storm iron with lightning?
'Careful-Strider, without a doubt. Ironjaw will want to test your mettle first and the Matron will probably just try to kill you. I... well, let's just say that her daughter and I got along a little too well for her liking.'Also, also, between The Matron, Ironjaw and Careful-Strider, who would be more inclined or easier to talk with, at our current level?"
Since I just finished rolling the dice for hamr, I figure I might as well give you the rules for Shapeshifting now. I'll also give you the rules again when the update comes out.
-Ambidextrous Hands (1 Slot) - Allows simultaneous use of two weapons at once
...Does Halla have a SteelMother's granddaughter as a aunt? that could be useful.'Careful-Strider, without a doubt. Ironjaw will want to test your mettle first and the Matron will probably just try to kill you. I... well, let's just say that her daughter and I got along a little too well for her liking.'
What about increasing movement speed? It's probably not useful for us specifically, but I feel like it's a reasonable option.
This could be useful for the next update.
-High-Twitch Muscles (1 Slot) - Increases attack-speed by 1
-Broad Frame (1 Slot) - Increases enemy morale loss
-Fast Creation (1 Slot) - Creates a Fast in your body, which can be used to store up to 3 things. Some examples are Frenzy (1 Fast for 3 Frenzy), pre-fueled, single-use tricks, or things like extra weapons, replacement shields, or any manner of tools/items.
You know how some enemies attack you in one direction and then slip another attack around your guard? You ever want to do that to someone else? What does this mean mechanically? We can add one more weapon to our dice pool? We can do more attacks since we have two weapons?
That's what High-Twitch Muscles do as well, I just have it written down as attack-speed as that's the mechanical effect. What about increasing movement speed? It's probably not useful for us specifically, but I feel like it's a reasonable option.
Dense Muscles does that, I just have it written down as damage as that's the mechanical effect.I'm surprised there's nothing that increases your actual strength.
Do either of the sensory tricks "fix" the poor sight trait? Can a shapeshift that just does that be taken as a thing if we want?
Sure to both!Do either of the sensory tricks "fix" the poor sight trait? Can a shapeshift that just does that be taken as a thing if we want?
