hamingja the MQ said can be used to lock in good traits and lock out bad ones, imo i think we should let the dice fall as they may unless our number of children prophecy ends up low even after the 2 bonus dice added. maybe lock in giants blood and snake tongue if we want to see a super cultivator but we can probably see that no spending if we are lucky, and I am lucky. It seems a little early to start spending Hamingja on our children. Won't they inherit our Hamingja, among other factors? Like Hamingja being our training dice.
One of the rituals, by the way, was done every day for 4 full weeks.
…I don't think you're getting out of this one baby-free.
Let's hope you don't get twins or triplets as you've only got so much hamingja to spend.
Also with how the system works from what I can tell we basically want to complete our Boons as fast (looking at you Bloody Basics and Forge) as possible before we naturally get more children. And ideally have enough time to give them training dice ASAP due to the snowball effect.
I'm guessing "i don't think you're getting out of this one baby free" refers not to the rituals, but to the fact that Imperial just rolled dice for it.I mean, do the rituals actually have a real mechanical effect? That seems like it'd be unusual if so given the lack of other magic effecting similar things. Like, I'm sure there are a lot of blessings to not have kids die young of childhood diseases, but that clearly still happens (Halla lost a sibling that way even with all Steinarr's clear power).
It seems like this is probably an area where the Norns (which would be the dice in this Quest) just decide what happens. They are explicitly the ones who spin someone's thread as well as cut it after all. You can do rituals, sure, but how much do they actually help?
We only need the ability to teach them starting when they're teachable, which is, what, 4 at the youngest? We have time for that one. Completing Bloody Basics is definitely more urgent, as is the crafting boon.
4 yearss is plenty of time for bloody basics, and we should definitely train as many of our kids as we can, so that they can be tutors for whichever one becomes the next pc.I mean, do the rituals actually have a real mechanical effect? I mean nothing says it doesn't work. I mean there are plenty of rituals and such that we have never gotten the chance to learn such as the campfire teaching. So if Qm realized there were so many rituals and freaked out they almost absolutely have a mechanical effect.I mean, do the rituals actually have a real mechanical effect? You know I would wonder why people are as obsessed about the children rolls and not the silver tongue roll with the Jarl. That seems a bit more important imo for long term
Up to you if you want it to add to or detract from the roll. Adding increases chance of children. If I spend a reward die on the Hamr roll, does that reduce the chance of children? @Imperial Fister
I just don't see having a kid as a bad thing. Sure, it'll complicate our lives, but it's also a low-bar win condition for Halla, such that even if we die on a raid, we already have our next character. A child born later might be stronger for various reasons, but that... doesn't necessarily mean having one now is *bad*.
Is it possible to skip a generation?
I mean, it happened from Hallr to Halla, right?
We can't like, sneak some contraceptive for the ceremony, right? *gulp*While I was reviewing the research for the wedding, I counted the number of individual fertility blessings…
Of which there are eight.
My fear for Halla grows with every passing moment.
And even if you could, it wouldn't have mattered for voting is now closed.
Welp, here's hoping we don't have too many headaches emerge from this.
I do want to get something cool though for a Muna at this! We've got so much cool stuff but we could be even cooler.
2 bonus dice went to the muna, 2 bonus dice went to max baby limit roll, and 1 bonus die to the jarl i think. I wouldnt worry about getting the muna id worry about its quality.Welp, here's hoping we don't have too many headaches emerge from this.
