[X] The Red Twist

Don't know what precisely I want to buy (or more likely if there is something specific I don't want to buy as it looks like were buying everything again) but I do know that I want the red twist.

We need more direct battle power and this is a good way of getting it without interfering with other plans/training.

I don't really see the benefit of blue (how many times were we at a place were we needed to defend Someone else and couldn't do it by some other mean?) it's allright but I think the added power in truly dire situations (it dos say against overwhelming odds) is worth more.

Given the rewards from the riddling itself, assuming that each of the twists are only what theyve been described as is a bit of a misnomer

And any story that successfully echoes one of Thors own feats is guaranteed to be outrageously potent, to be scaled to effectiveness against a Jotunn, which as Halla has already seen?

Is a stupidly big ass deal

[X] Plan Let's Buy Everything!
-[X] Whalebone Bedrest (45oz Silver) (Adds 3 Extra Dice when rolling for children and a free trait pick)
-[X] Boar-Headed Horn (70oz Silver) (Encourages your allies while discouraging your enemies)
-[X] Strange Sword (110oz Silver) (7d6 Dice. ???)
-[X] Falling Moss (24 seeds for 2oz Silver) (Falling in this allows someone to survive a fall from any height)
-[X] Blood-Seeking Petal (4 seeds for 1oz Silver) (Stops bleeding and mends wounds, allowing warriors to get back in the fight quicker)
-[X] Drill-Well Tuber (21 seeds for 1 and 3/4oz Silver) (When it is planted, it drills down in search of water sources which it then pumps back to the surface)
-[X] Amber-Trapped Lightning (7 for 14oz Silver) (Crushing this unleashes the stored lightning, often in a violent manner)
-[X] Lightning in a Bottle (3 for 24oz Silver) (Opening this is said to bring great inspiration for a short period of time, allowing for a project to be made in a fraction of the time—though, once used, it can't be re-used)
-[X] Lightning Rod (1 for 180oz Silver) (A long, copper pole that is said to attract lightning. There is only one available in this market)

[X] Continue speaking with Lidrun of the Red-Scarf
-[X] "My kids aren't old enough yet, but I'm considering apprenticeships for some of them with a Skald, can you tell me something about your craft and do you know any Skalds that would be interested when my kids are old enough?"
-[X] "Do Skalds pick up intersting rumours, for example about Vestfold, or is that overshadowed by the heroic stories?"

We really don't need the horn, we can already simulate most of it's effects with our own toolkit, and our research list is already very high. The Katana is interesting as a point of comparison with our own forging skills, rather than a weapon of our own.

I think the horn is handy because we can pass it off to other people, and also because I'm not sure we can actually duplicate its effects completely. Also, it's just not that expensive. It's sure not free, but it's not wildly pricey either.

Anyone recall a berserker with an axe that fit the first twist?

The fact that both the other twists are about people we meet make me think that this too is someone we know, I wonder if this is a limitation of the Skald twist gifting or she is being deliberate about it.

Could be a lot of people. The Valley's men are something like 15% berserks by volume. That said, I am slightly concerned it's Abjorn's dad as he is a berserk and has an axe. Which is...not great.

I don't think Twists have a big effect on personality per se, but that's still a concerning possibility in context.

We should ask if this came from Two-Shield

[X] Go listen to what rumors are floating around
-[X] Especially around Vestfold, you don't plan on going there in the immediate future, but it'd be good to keep an ear open.

Voting to stick with her and ask more questions is an option you can vote for right now. If you have a good question or two I might join in.
Oh right, well, I have the kids question and inviting her to us investigating that echo (was that the official name of it?) of the fight between Blackhand and Hasvir.

-[] "I found an echo of a fight my grandfather, Hallr Blackhand, had with a local hero. I didn't have the time to investigate it yet, but plan to do so soon, would you as a Skald be interested in coming along?"
