btw when do we intend to make the push for second realm? we already have good field and house plans, strengthened by our recent expedition. is there anything else we are waiting for?

First turn of next year. The first turn after we give birth. Doing it while pregnant just seems like not a great plan. That should give us plenty of time to finish off the house and try and improve the fields more. Maybe add a little to the fences...

has people look at the new Hugr price for rank ten? 216 ! and that half price

Yeah. It's rough. On the other hand, that's only a bit over 300 dice needed, and we have a thing that doubles dice invested in raising Hugr, so really, we only need, like, 160 Training Dice. If we mono-focused it, we could do that in less than a year. Now, we have other priorities, but I still expect we'll probably be able to hit Hugr 10 on the outgoing trip to Vestfold assuming we take a year off from traveling to get our other projects done first (the other projects, for the record, are Hamr 8, and Perfected Slowing Slog, which is really good, from what's been said).

I kind of want feeding a rooster Odr to go hilariously wrong. Like it awakens as a Gullinkambiblooded cultivator, escapes, and goes on to serve as a herald of doom. Are rooster Fylgja possible? And if so what type of bonus might they provide?

*Halla sees a column of refugees cross the Valley*

Halla: what happened to you and your homeland?

Refugee Leader: a terrible monster devastated Alvheim, destroying our homes and devouring our livestock and families!

Halla: gasp! What creature could commit such atrocities!

Refugee Leader: it was the Great Rooster of Doom! With steel claws and a breath of fire! His voice was thunder and his eyes were lightning!

Halla: the Great Rooster you say....

Refugee Leader: Yes! If I get my hands on whoever released that monstrosity in the world, I'll make them pay!

Refugees (chanting in chorus): Make them pay! Make them pay! Make them pay!

*Halla starts to sweat and moves nervously away from the angry mob *

seems like a good plan. anything we want to do by then beyond building a nice house?

but... thats not a power of 2! we are out of the pattern dictated by math! the world is crumbling!
*proceeds to draw inane calculations on a boad, mumbling in horror all the while*

seriously though, its not impossibly high, but if it continues dounbling, getting Hugr 14 will take around 4700. given its seems a real high but possible Hugr to have, that might hint there are other ways to raise/ speed training of Hugr then Hamingja and some training items. otherwise, it would take around 8 years dedicated solely to Hugr. and there are people with 10+ in multiple

another thought, could Odr be somehow used in Alloys? and the result of an alloying be changed by changing the way Halla views something or recontextualizing it?

for example, we couldn't alloy standstill and ignition before. but what if we try do it by imagining standstill as drawing out ignition, making it last longer, rather than stop in place?

See if we can improve our fence or fields any more. Maybe add another magic plant.

It was a power of 2. It started at 256, we just got 77 successes to advance when we only needed 37 to hit Hugr 9. So the 40 extra rolled over and got it down a bit.

I mean, Steinarr has a Hamingja in the 30s, so he, over two months of raiding, could get something like 2000 dice to use. In one two month period. I think high stats tend to come from events like that.

I'm dubious. We could try after we explore some more likely options, though.

I'm fairly sure we already discussed the seeds from the thingie, and decided to grow some as a test in a special cordoned-off part of our property after talking to Steinarr about the safest way to do it.

In fact, didn't we already do that?

[X] Yes
-[X] Buy 2400 oz. Forged Iron (Cost 1350 oz. silver)
-[X] Sell 110 Water wolf Pelts (Gain 385 oz. silver)

Weren't we also wanting to buy more food?

Would I still have access to my Hamr and Hugr up to my Infusion ranks
'Probably, I don't see why you wouldn't. I don't know much about Thralls, to speak the truth.'
Hey Blackhand, who was Steinarr's mother, Halla's grandmother? What happened there? She doesn't get discussed much. What was the situation with her and Solrun?
'When I met Sunnifa for the first time, it was when I was hanging from a cliff by my ankle. I was trading insults with the person who put me in that situation—who's name, face, and history escape me even now—when suddenly a loud sound rings out. The man stumbles over the cliff and I haul myself back up to meet the gaze of frazzled woman holding a pan with my enemy's face imprinted in its iron. We hit it off, one thing led to another, and she joined me in Gotland. She bore me two sons, Steingrim and Steinarr, but unfortunately passed soon after Steinarr's birth.

She was a strong woman with strong opinions, opinions that often went contrary to Solrun's. They did not see eye-to-eye on many topics and arguments inevitably rose when they were in the same room together for too long.'

Steinarr advised against even that and we held off for a bit. This is still what we're gonna do if we plant them at all, though.

It's not essential, and I honestly didn't think of it. Too late now in any case.

Stigr did leave us his share of the Food so we should have 91 Food for the household, plus whatever Stigmar, Tryggr, Trausti, and Vagn contribute to the pool (I expect them to sell or give away the lion's share, but they might throw some into the communal pot they are being fed from).
