So less risk of ded now? Sweet.

Yeah, the issue is that we have a cap on how many Stoked Dice we can have at any given time which is based on our Stoker State Mastery, (9 dice per Mastery in it), going above that is possible, but you're risking Endurance damage.

Stoking Engage is terrifying though because as long as you've got some gas in the engine, you can rev it up to overdrive in one go. That's dumb

We can use other Stoker State Tricks as a safety valve, which helps. Personally, I'm thinking we very rarely go above 15 dice into Stoking Engage and usually combine it with a hefty Stoking Strike to bleed off some gains.

Sharpen also makes those attack dice extremely efficient I would add (2 Orthstirr per attack to make every attack in that chain 5d6). I'm pretty sure that's how we just delete even Knights in one go if we decide to be even more ambitious so we can beat their Rebuke too.

I get the sense that Stoker Shenanigans are one of those gimmicks that really helps you break out into the "big fish in small pond, medium fish in regional pond" tier, the way things like Sharpen are sort of minimal "you must be this tall to enter" things to even be taken that seriously in a small pond.

It gets a little pricey against knights (and by a little I mean exorbitantly). I'm not sure it's the best call against them specifically. It also doesn't do too much against people with too much DR. Those things aside, it's savage against most other foes, though.

In fairness, the Hading Valley is not exactly a small pond. It is in size, but there are a lot more hardcore people there than you'd expect. But yes, this kind of thing or the Perfected Slowing Slog idea that's been discussed (Slowing Slog reduces all damage but you can't use Tricks...Perfected slowing Slog removes the 'can't use Tricks' part) really let you start playing on another level.

I did t actually notice this in my fist read but were really swimming in odr aren't we. (With us getting about 1 per 6 aspect osthsittr, defiantly the better pick)

We should be careful not to accidently get to the tipping point before we're ready

Yeah, we're gonna burn it all on stuff. We should be able to get Hugr Infusion 6 and then one of our Stat Infusions to 7 (either Hamr or Hugr...I'm torn), before we want to break through.

We were planning on gathering our forces for the Odr Revelation Fight before the next stage, right?

Nah, I've given up on that myself, especially after IF let slip that it's designed that Disclosure in one life is virtually impossible (Because the Enemy's set things up that the more you know, the worse it gets, but our ability to push the reset button while retaining knowledge means that the best time to do Disclosure is right after we change characters, because that takes everything off the table except the Pursuer--which will probably be as weak as it possibly can be)

As Alectai says, no we were not. I haven't quite given up entirely, but it ain't happening before the Second Realm, and realistically, we probably hold off and have Sigurdr (or whatever heir we wind up with) do it.

Don't forget Hamingja we said we'll try it didn't we?

We can try, sure, but that's a drop in the bucket. I'm also 99% sure it won't work. Gabriel's Grace was not infused, after all, just as one example, and infusing a Martial Style just failed to do anything. I'm pretty sure we can only add Odr to the same stuff we can put Orthstirr into, and Hamingja is not such a thing.

You should have at least one child before you do that, just in case

I feel like it falls under the same proviso as traveling to Ginnungagap being the most dangerous thing we did...it's not that we're necessarily super likely to die, it's that if we do it's a Quest End (if we don't have a kid, in the case of disclosure).

I wanted Sigurdr to woo and marry a princess though :( That's not an option now.

Yeah, we still want to go to join the Varagnian Guard with our next protagonist, it's just that we want to also do Disclosure before they start Odr Cultivation as well, so we can cheat Disclosure.

Then again, you can join the Varagnian Guard even without being an Odr Cultivator, so that might be worth considering if we're not in a huge rush. Get a shitton of Orthstirr, then speedrun through Saga Establishment and whatever we can learn of Realm 2 with Halla after we've done Disclosure.

This seems riskier than just doing Disclosure without a net. Being in the Varangian Guard is not a safe occupation...we want all the advantages we can get.
