So, I've done my duty to lift the veil on Disclosure, budget for Initiation information (As opposed to Disclosure, which will be out of reach for some time yet given what we just learned) is apparently 6 Reward Dice.

If you cats want to pool resources to get some help there, it'd be handy. Even if we can't do Disclosure, getting our allies Initiated at least would be incredibly helpful. Abjorn at least has witnessed all of our experiments and will probably be easier to nudge away from the landmines and whatnot without crossing the line to Disclosure.

Horra Quest would have had a riot if we had gotten that bad end after the Foeman attack. Just gets up one morning to discover that his Draugr army decided to just go kill Steinar without even asking for permission.

Those theories on if Horra was helped by the Enemy certainly take on a new light, now it feels like Horra got the idea from the Enemy so he had a ready made army to send after us if we let slip.

  1. Foemen. 3-9 per Infusion.
  2. Spirited Foement. 1-3 per Infusion.
  3. local Draugar (region)
  4. local Trolls (if at night)
  5. local giants (region)
  6. a Pursuer
  7. local monsters (if local spirits are hostile)

Another important factor to find out is how "smart" the reprisal system is. If you perform Disclosure 30 minutes before dawn is it still going to spend resources on angrying up local trolls because that's what the flowchart says, or will it realise that's pointless? Can you perform disclosure standing on the beach then immediately set sail for distant lands while foemen and giants impotently wave at you from the shore, or can it cancel the ground-based reprisal to send a sea-based one?

Science!

I suspect the sea creatures would come for you if you're on the beach. And the Foemen seem to arrive right on top of you. Because they're basically teleporting there.

Oooor... We just do one unending time in the sun and enjoy the ugly statues we are gifted by the enemy.

The Enemy, notably, can only magic the Foemen into place, everything else has to be sourced on site.
Though I imagine giants walk pretty fast. :p

So the first and most important thing any would-be Norse Sect needs to do is Tame their Environment
You are not wrong.

I think I still have a reward die, and will apply that reward die to it.

I was thinking, since the Enemy likes using stuff from before humans grouped together, could the Pursuer be essentially a spirit beast ancient creature? Like straight up old school mammal predator.

I do hope the enemy starts talking to us when start to disclose stuff. A faceless enemy is all well and good but we do want some banter between us and just because they're our enemy doesn't mean we can't get along.

Would using the Demon Seeds as a part of the Kolling Firld be of any use during Disclosure?

I imagine it'd be like setting up a tower defense game if done together and off the top of my head that's probably the easiest way to get any use out of those things.

I feel like they'd be too indiscriminate to be counted upon if we're doing a Disclosure.

can we just set a trap for the foeman? if they teleport to us, and we limit the space(such as by doing it in an interior barred from the outside) and then just booby trap the whole thing, we can make it work
they are pretty fast, but it won't help if they explode the moment they appear
I wonder if we can create runes or something that target specifically foeman?

???
The demon seed are lifeleaching magic plants.
They are weapons to make areas uninhabitable and get enemies stuck fighting demon plants. (Like, If some manor majorly wrongs us we could plant them in said manors restricted forest)
If planted with the right precautions they may yield valuable materials. (big stress on the right precautions)

But for disclosure?
It would turn an area into a deathzone.
And create the threat of it spreading. With the added caution that life leaching plants could grow worse than kudzu while it has victims.

I think its telling that the first reaction from Steinarr when he heard about us wanting to plant it is that he asked us to do it far away so he doesn't have to worry about the surroundings while nuking it.

That information about disclosure teaches me one thing: when we do disclose, there absolutely has to be some trustworthy scribe or something with zero infusion that could be used to do further disclosures with weaker retaliations

Wouldn't a Dwarven kill zone be the perfect place though?

It'd be enclosed enough from everything else and anything that would get destroyed like the plants from the tower defense enemy waves would help with the culling of said plants in the aftermath.

If we plant them in a long but narrow tunnel as a choke point it shouldn't spread too much.

However crazy the plants are I don't think it'll be handle everything the Enemy could throw at us and that's the point. It's to soften things up so we can handle the super bosses at comparatively topped off reserves while they have to expend their pound of flesh getting to us.

better yet. lets do disclosure in the middle of Jurgdby's capital, and let the jarl deal with the mess
