I grew up with Secrets of the Jedi so I'm quite a bit more attached to Siri than Satine (who honestly bores me, most of the time).

Though if someone is already vocal about hating the EU, is it any surprise they don't like Siri?

Siri and Satine are essentially OCs from my perspective so Kenobi's relationship complications are what made them even remotely appealing in a story with so many characters. Granted, Satine has grown slightly beyond that role while Siri has not.

Then your problems with them is an extension of your ignorance, not a problem with the writing of the quest. After all, Obi-Wan is not the focus of the quest, and his story has been explored extensively in other mediums.

In all honesty, I very much admire the work and effort you've put into this.

I'm certain this sentiment is shared by the vast majority of the readers; I can barely keep track of things for my own stories, and I don't have to worry about a gaggle of lunatics on the internet figuring out how to break things. I tip my proverbial hat to you.

Hello everyone!

So I managed to blaze through the entirety of "I've always wanted to own the galaxy" and this quest since starting Sunday evening. Including all the thread marked canon omakes. Been reading almost nonstop for 50 hours, with less than 8 hours of sleep (total) over the past two nights; I've been reading while on the toilet, reading through classes, reading while making food, reading while eating food, reading at work.

Suffice to say I fucking love the story. I've always been a huge star wars fan so this has basically been like meth to me. I've read a good handful of quests on SV, and this is my favorite without a doubt. Y'all have all done wonderfully in crafting this universe together, from Teron, to Dr. Snark, to the various omake writers, and all the voters. Thank you.

Please forgive my delirium. Anyways, I need to take another caffeine pill and get back to the responsibilities I've been putting off for the last 2+ days.

I think of it more as a general PSA for anyone interested -- there have been a number of similar story recs previously in this thread. I called out Panory specifically because he really really likes Blazing Chain. :D
Agreed. Blazing chain is of general interest to the thread.

That, good sir/madam/delicious friend, is absolutely astounding.

Now go the fuck to bed.

Not impressed! I do that once every few months! *Sips tea*
...
No, the tea does not mean I'll start writing something. You know I've given up on anything that isn't political/organisation/situation overviews with bit mentions of various characters.

It also doesn't mean you won't write a political/organisation/situation overview with bit mentions of various characters.

Hint, hint.

Darn. Has seen right through me! I actually have one for the CNS planned (to explain how it despite being mostly Ciarans creation and under her control isn't as much if a 'true' political power as some might think, since some people go 'Well, the CNS controls half the galaxy! Isn't the war a joke by now?'). Anyone got any other suggestions what they would like some infos on?

Ciaran and the CNS (Canon Info)
Ciaran and the CNS

Ciarans control over the CNS is an interesting 'construct' and as usual for the Abyss Watchers just means a lot of people pulling the strings of those below them with Ciaran being the one on top. Mostly. Due to having been heavily involved in the organisation and early financing she managed to fill many positions in the CNS government, bureaucracy and military with individuals loyal to her or her proxies. This does mean she can leverage her influence to be the de facto leader of the CNS if she deems it necessary, but her control isn't absolute, particularly concerning many systems Republic and CIS alinged ones that joined later.

The majority of those solely joined up as to get out of the war either after having seen extensive fighting or premptively to either secure lives or profits. If the CIS were to be defeated a lot of the Republic systems would immideately reintegrate themselves back into the Republic, since they do still have dimnished representation in the Senate and pay various taxes (which isn't as strange as it sounds as even the TF still is in the Senate and makes deals with the Republic DESPITE being one of the CISs main contributors due to political maneuvers and the Republic being a bad joke).

The same applies to former CIS systems if the Republic were to be defeated.

As if that weren't allready bad enough, after a victory for either side of the war the victorious faction would soon press for a integration/reintegration for any members of the CNS that hasn't done so on their own and the CNS would be incapable of resisting due to not being able to field any army or navy capable of fending off either the CIS or Republic in their entirety. After all, by that point they don't have to worry that the CNS would side with their enemy if they were to attack.

Summary: For all its progress and increased economic, financial and military power the CNS is still a rather fleeting political construct of convenience.

Essentially, the fate of galaxy depends on the conflict between two Sith Lords.
Palpatine(Darth Sidious) and Ciaran(Darth Traya).
