Of course, you can add Ventress in there for the token Tsundere.

I just think they liked bantering with each other in snark to snark combat.

hey, didnt ventress canonicly get a boyfriend? i remember them being kind of cute, before they both died.

Yep, Quinlan Voss, turns out he's attracted to her cold snark. Kind of why I suggested any action on improving his mental health would be a Ventress action as she managed to turn him back to the Light when he fell to the Dark Side.

Right, going to acknowledge some things before I finally get around to updating the front page.

Riphath's Guide to Telepathic Species

Forgot to acknowledge this list before. Canon info, +10.

I look forward to seeing just how badly this ends, because there's no way this can possibly end well. Canon, +10.

And finally, something I feel terrible for not noting before:

I decided, hey, why not make another lightsaber. Been awhile since I've done that. As such:

Getting the color of the blade is...fun. I'm not much of a Dark Souls kind of guy, so I can't promise I got the right shade. Thankfully I have a template for these things, so it shouldn't be hard to adjust if needed.

...a template for the light effect, rather, not the lightsaber itself. In that regard I took what was described here, namely the gold bits and based the general hilt off of Assaj and Dooku's 'sabers.

I leave it up to our illustrious GM on what he wants to do with this. Or if this even remotely fits what the 'saber in question looks like :V

This. Is. Awesome. And as other people have commented that is definitely what Ciaran's saber looks like now (though to be honest the look of the hilt and the color of the blade are accurate to the description/games respectively).

And it also means that I should probably get off my butt and get around to categorizing this stuff under the Media threadmark like I said I would ages ago.

Anyway. As before I'll offer a choice of Fanart Bonuses:

-Free stat boost (Lore/Learning)
-Ability to ask two questions about the quest which I must answer truthfully
-Third cool thing that I still can't think of, suggest something and I'll see if I can make it work

I can think of very few instances where she'd two hand it.

Looks to me like its intended to one hand so she can keep a blaster in the other, compensating with Makutai strength :)

I mean the curved shape does look a bit like a pistol grip so if we learn more blazing chains stuff i could see Ciaran customizing it to fire a surprise blaster bolt or 2 but otherwise it just doesn't seem practical.

The thing is, it's not supposed to be wielded with two hands. The Makashi style is mostly one-handed, and that's what Ciaran is best at using.

Tell that to Dooku. He's the one who made the curved hilt famous, and the one who taught Ciaran how to use a lightsaber in the first place.

Ayup. As mentioned back when it was being built Ciaran's saber has a curved hilt to complement her Makashi fighting style. Similarly that's why Asajj's are also both curved since she uses a two-saber variant of the form.

Normally it'd also mean you're screwed if someone tries to just bash their way through your guard as it were, but Ciaran's Matukai-enhanced strength compensates for that quite nicely.

Is that a challenge?

Just a mere observation. Don't mind me.

"Hmm, it ended well? Huh. Non-canon +10."

And also don't tempt me. :V

On a side note I was looking through some Star Wars ship images, found this guy who makes some rather good ones and found this image of a Dreadnaught-class Star Frigate
Really makes you appreciate a very good generalist ship.

The trick will always be finding them, since while we know OOC that they are there we have no clue as to their location IC.
Indeed. I find it useful to have the information handy, though. Takodana (Maz's Kanada's Castle, "last homely house" of the galaxy on the Mid Rim before heading to the Outer Rim) is near the Halm sector, as are Cerea (part of the Refugee Relief Movement and location of a considerably-sized battle) and New Balosar (possible home of our genemod species that helped Jango?).

One of the great things about Star Wars is that we can blame any meta-knowledge exploitation as "the will of the force".

Go forth and meta-game.

Thing is, I based it off of Ventress' sabers. Since I figured that there would be more than a little overlap, considering the situation.

If anything, her's have more of a curve (this is because I also took some cues from Dooku's, for again, obvious reason). Scaling is roughly equivalent to Ventress as well. It looks like it is more meant for two-handed, but it isn't.

EDIT: The Sky is tired and was mixing up the old complaint with the new discussion, don't mind me >.>

...Weird.

'New Balosar' sounds like it'd be a colony world for Balosars fleeing their homeworld, but there is literally no content about anything like that on either page. Given the corruption and ecological damage of Balosar proper, it makes sense that the smart money would have already left for greener pastures. And New Balosar is in the direction that a colony ship would travel.

Given its lack of impact, I'd imagine that most of the residents would be isolationists -- all the more because they'd be tarred by the same brush as original Balosars, who are widely seen as drug dealers and criminals who can't be trusted.

It means they're probably more likely to join the CNS -- remind me and I'll add it to the next list -- but unlikely to be the source of Jango's genemod, unless our Arkanian mad-scientists went out of their way for a sample.

I should reiterate that the Foundry is solely dedicated to creating ground troops. Starships and starfighters were under the purview of the Star Forge.
Cheriss: "Challenge accepted."

...yeah I don't really have ground to stand on with that, do I?
hey cheriss is doing some kind of super mecha right? and the foundery can pump out droids like no ones business? is it possible to mix those two and start pumping out a bunch of cool mecha things?
...

Hmmm.

Mecha, you say?

So, uh. Star Wars has combat walkers in it already, and combat droids of various varieites. How viable would it be to come up with combat walkers or droids that can transform into space fighters?
