I'd love to help with this write-up. That is, if we find a way to involve HK-47. I mean, there's your recruitment poster right there.

Do we want to lose the CNS?

The CNS was always just a tool to use as a bulwark against Palpatine's growing power. If dealing with Palpatine requires us to let go of the CNS that's something we'll have to accept.

I agree with the point though that the war stopping means shit will hit the fan and we want that shit as small as possible and spreading at the right time where we can deal with it.

Ohhhh, that's fun. But all species are not created equal so I'll reskin this for a couple of planets:
As long as we're opening it to all species... is there any reason we could recruit Wookies as Mandolorian Guardians? Because that'd be hilarious.

We might also recruit Gungans, which would be funny in an entirely different manner.

[X] Stewardship: Buy MandalMotors and mining rights somewhere on Mandalore. See if Anakin or any CNS people want in on a starfighter project. Sell to only non-aligned planets.
Pretty sure this would work as a sub-option under the existing 'Contact Ship-Builders' stewardship action.

Also, @Dr. Snark:
Castell Facility:
[] Mining Guild investment: the Commerce Guild includes a number of suppliers of raw materials. No doubt they'd appreciate some direct funding.
I just realized that we already had an 'Mining Guild investment upgrade' a few turns ago. This is from our current list of assets on Castell:
Castell, Colonies
Commerce Guild businesses
- Asset Centralization
- Arcona Mineral Harvest Corporation investments
- Dorvalla Mining investments
- Mining Guild investments
- Offworld Mining Corporation investments
- Rim Commercial Mining investments
I'm wondering if we could give a slightly different reward for this second round of investments, specifically in terms of gaining access to the raw materials those mining companies provide. We already have Wookie Engineers giving us discounts on the labor costs for base purchases and upgrades. Would it be possible to get a similar discount (5% on base costs) for access to cheap raw materials?

Seems fair.

So, going to compile the last of my scrapped ideas and post them here and see if any are worth salvaging. But first, have a base upgrade:

Arkania:

[] Yaka recruitment center: The planet is home to the Yaka species. The Yaka were uplifted from hulking brutes with a low intellect and tech level to hulking brutes with a high intellect and tech level. Why not recruit some of them, both as soldiers and as researchers.

Edit:

Also, just found this vid, quite interesting:

Elite Gungan SEAL units are funny now?

[] Heart of a Warrior: The videos from the Foundry are just golden! But, Thrawn did say that he did expect a lot of casualties, but was completely surprised by what happened with less than 5% "casualties". Perhaps we should let him go over the videos of the raid and see where his prediction of the casualty number went wrong and see if we can replicate this kind of success later. The fact that he can also edit the videos together into a propaganda gold mine is just a plus!

I gotta say, I really like this one. Thrawn analysing how he went wrong sounds like it could go interesting places.

The Home:
The Abyss: A large meditation room filled with images depicting important events that happened to our organizatio.

Quite a lot of the images would be dedicated to trolling. I don't think it would work for relaxation, since Ciaran would be too amused by the memories to concentrate. How many paintings just for when she embarrassed Obi-Wan about Siri and Satine? How many for annoying Padme?

Eh...again, where do you really start? You'd have to figure out where Revan ran off to in the whole Unknown Regions. That's not exactly easy...

You begin with the same thing anything involving the Sith that deeply begins. With a trip to Korriban.

Well, Moraband these days. But the point stands.

That or we could just go ask the Chiss Ascendancy if they know. And oh hey, look at that. We were planning on bribing the shit out of them this turn anyway.

(P.S. Wanted to have a Grievous/Boss Nass scene but couldn't fit it in with how that interlude played out. Omake writers, this is your chance!)
So, Dr. Snark, from the looks of it no one has tried to do this scene. Or, at least, a canon acceptable version of it. Can I write it?

Also, has anyone suggested any write ins dealing with making our own version of the Crusader XX-777? Or even trying to see if we can find the original?

Feel free.

Also, @Publicola 's quest rather heavily featured the Crusader and I wrote a fair number of omakes about that over there. Understandably, while others might draw inspiration from it...I'm not sure about going to the well again.

Gonna get started on that right now!

Eh, we do have the option of making our own version of the Crusader if we don't want to try and find the original one.

And, my last write in suggestions:

Coruscant:

[] Main Hanger upgrade: The truth is, you've been neglecting some of the things you bought and constructed when the Abyss Watchers first started up. Your main hanger can only hold hold two ships. Why don't you expand it so it can store a few more?

Naboo

[] Build a "Naboo Fighter" factory. The classic yellow coloured fighters of the Royal Naboo Air force. They could always use some more, and so could The CNS' defense force for that matter. The fact that you would also take a few for the Abyss Watchers to use would only be a plus.
-Eh have the ability to do this, so why not?

[] Droid Storage: While we aren't in danger of reaching the cap on the droids we can construct here, we should still plan on building this once we are closer to the cap.

And that's the last of my write in suggestions for this turn. Thoughts?

Alright so I'm revising it:

-[] Stewardship: Buy MandalMotors and mining rights somewhere on Mandalore for the purpose of expanding MandalMotors. We're looking for Beskar and to that end, construct a large starfighter factory as well as a factory to expand our own Army.

IMO it's only a matter of time before our balancing act comes to a halt. We're gonna need to expand our warfighting capabilities at some point. Imagine the Oracle with Beskar hull plating. Beskar starfighters and tanks.

As I recall, and @Dr. Snark can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure beskar is both prohibitively heavy and prohibitively expensive to be good in those roles. It works for personal armor because there's not a lot of it and spread across a whole body it's not that bad to move in. A fighter plated in beskar would move like a space barge. Physics of momentum and mass is still a thing, even in space.

If there's a lack of strength in the CNS, we should first identify it and then address it. Throwing the newest magic-metal at something doesn't answer anything except how the miners are going to make payments on their space yachts.

And, my last write in suggestions:

These are already things. FYI.

Uh...you already have a source of beskar from the mines on Concordia. And I already said buying MandalMotors was legit...

Pretty much this, too.
